  • In this video I repair a snow blower that sat for 2 years and would not run. I add a quick and easy modification so it can sit up long term when not in use. You can do this on any small engine.

Great informative video, right to the point. This can be applied to every small engine you own. 9 times out of 10 if it won’t start, this is the problem!

Best way to extend the life of gas is with PRI-G (Power Resources Inc.), which will keep gas good for 5 years. Same with PRI-D (diesel). One quart (~ $45), treats 500 gallons.

Thanks for the info, I'll check the stuff out. This was a friend's father and I was just getting it working again and added the fuel shut valve so he could run the carburetor dry and I recommended Stabil

@@allforwheelsgarage Stabil is a 2 year product and time goes by fast! I have had gas for 3 years with PRI-G and it is as good as new. I haven't let it go 5 years yet; no need to so far. PRI-G is claimed to restore bad gas as well. I use 9ml in a 5 gallon can. However, this year, I did run all my chainsaws dry, just to be sure. Where I live non-ethhanol gas is available and it is all I use in small engines, especially 2 strokes. PRI-G-D is available all day long at Amazon. If you can't get non-eth, watch RUclips videos on how to remove ethanol from gas using just water. I fear that non-eth will be cut, (maybe gas too) as refineries switch to diesel, a lot of catching up to do.
