Both of my kids have this sleeping bad and they love them. The zip plow and roll control are awesome features but OMG getting it back in the bag is not an easy task even if stuffing. Ended up getting larger bags instead.
I thought it was pretty easy using the stuff method, David, make sure you push the bag all the way to the bottom from the start. I'm glad you like the sleeping bags. Happy camping! ~ Ben
I'm really not someone who could camp in snow conditions. I don't do the cold well at all. In fact, if it's cold, I rug myself up in bed to a point where I perspire, then suffer when i have to get up to wee... This bag would suit me when temps get below 24C. Good price too but out of stock as at the time of my comment. I feel a bit silly. I've never 'stuffed' a sleeping bag the way you did. I always spent an inordinately long time tightly rolling them whilst fighting the fold creep that the Coleman tags prevent. Eventually I gave up and found some rope to keep it tidy :)
You're not the only one, Brad, I'm pretty sure everyone who finds out about the stuff method for packing their sleeping bag has a facepalm moment. ~ Ben
It took me 3 goes and nearly all my finger/palm/hand strength to get this bastard into its bag . The sleeping bag is fantastic . After packing up a tent , marque and campsite and I still couldn’t get the sleeping bag in the bag.
This bag is great! Plenty of room for those who don’t like feeling like you’re trying to sleep in a straight jacket and toasty warm, does now live in a pillowcase not its original sack though.
Any recommendations for a different storage bag that actually fits these sleeping bags? I have the technique right and can roll them to get them back in, but it takes too long 🤪
We recommend stuffing sleeping bags back into their storage sack. You can always check out the Sea to Summit Dry Sack or Storage sack range for an alternative larger option ~ Lauren
What a plush-looking, wonderfully roomy bag! One of my camping mates is looking for a new sleeping-bag, but he's both 150kg + 6,3" & a cold sleeper, so it's been slow going. This one looks like it might fit the bill, so I'll point him towards it; thanks for the tip! ^_^ Thankfully, weight + bulk aren't an issue, as he's strictly a car camper. P.S. I'm curious about why you elected to have to do the worm-wiggle into the bag from the top down rather than unzipping that lovely long side-closure & unfolding it in the usual way, Ben. Was that particularly to illustrate anything about the bag itself, or just a random decision of the moment?
It's certainly a roomy bag, Mystery LovesCompany, I reckon your mate would love it. As for me getting in and out of the bag, that's just how I've always done it, nothing specific to the bag. I usually zip part way down, fold the top over, 'worm-wiggle' (as you describe it) until my feet are near the bottom, then zip it up. Each to their own though, there's no right or wrong. ~ Ben

Just stuff it in, don't worry about rolling it. ~ Ben

The Mudgee bags have been around for a long time, they are excellent value. ~ Ben
Coleman company should see this problem and make the bag a little bit bigger.
We are seeing manufacturers starting to change the size of their storage bags, but some of them are still a little small. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors thanks & that's entirely fair; I was purely curious! :-) Horses for courses, as they say. ;-)
