Haha I’m a hardcore Star Wars fan and popped into the Lego store for Aug 1st, of course getting the at-te the minute it releases. I also got obi wans starfighter, but wanted to get to the £150 promo threshold. So I picked up this little set as my 1st Minecraft set in maybe 8 years. I LOVE IT. It’s such a cool set, I felt like a little kid again using all the play features. So yes you are right, this is PERFECT for starting out your collection!
Love this! It was a great day for Star Wars fans for sure, but it's so awesome you found some joy in the Minecraft line as well. I do need to pick up that Starfighter at some point.
Nice to see that copper ore finally made an entrance, alongside music discs, dripstone, and clay! Now all we need is an official jukebox build/print, to jam out to.
That's what I was saying, we have copper ore for the first time. Also great idea for a jukebox print. Can LEGO make the music discs that can be inserted in a jukebox. XD

I've been playing a lot more of the recent versions of the game lately, and I do really enjoy stumbling upon a Dripstone Cave. I think it would be great fun to try and recreate in LEGO. I'd probably use medium nougat too, though I do understand why LEGO went with dark tan.
If you were looking for sets with cool play features from recent sets, I would check out the ruined portal set. It is a great display peices and play piece for its main function!
It makes me really happy they made another spawner build. You said this one was perfect for getting someone into LEGO Minecraft, and the zombie dungeon build got me into LEGO Minecraft. This videos are always so fun to watch, every time I check my notifications, I look for the Cheesey Studios logo. Right when I see it, I already know what I'll be watching on RUclips. Keep up the absolutely fantastic work!

With the falling dripstone thing, there is a less ugly version with gravel in the 2018 Zombie Cave set. I actually got the Zombie Cave set for $10 AUD (Around $6USD). Great review!
Very exited for this set and the new abandon village set and lego have out done themselves for the the last few waves compared to most of the sets before
Picked this set up early from my local LEGO store the other day along with the rest of the August wave, and was pleasantly surprised with the build. Feels like you're getting the same amount of physical volume and play value as 21186 The Ice Castle, but at $50 AUD instead of $80...
Ice Castle looks great, but it's quite bland. You get the flick-fire missiles I feel and that's about it. Though I do want those glazed terracotta tiles...
@@CheeseyStudios I'm actually building it as we speak! The glazed terracotta definitely seems to be the most interesting thing in the set, but the mobs are a welcome addition to my steadily growing army, and more medium/bright light blue is always nice to have. Very bland otherwise.

It's a cool set, and it comes with rare colors at an affordable price! What more could you want? Oh, what's that? You want tons of skeletons? Well it comes with 3!!!! Best set for skeleton army building(I know army building is more star wars but like you need tons of zombies, skeletons, and creepers if you're making a minecraft lego moc)!
The thing that I love about lego sets is how clever the designers can be when designing functions . the more interesting it is, the more intrigued i am. But my favorite sets are sets that are small (like most minecraft sets) that have many functions.
Lego have out done it again! This set has a lot of mobs, play features and some absolutely fantastic techniques to create this Environment. I think the perfect price for this is $34.99 for as much as you get its a good deal! None the less great review as always.

I personally don’t buy much anymore, but Lego mc is one of the greatest themes. One small fix for this set is if the covered up the exposed circle in the spawning corner with a green jumper to represent moss carpet, then that would make since
I really wanted to get this set, but I have been working on a GIGANTIC Lego Minecraft overworld and Lego table and I dont have any room for a cave. but I think once I have finished I will buy this set and then rebuild my zombie dungeon!
This set is pretty cool, it has a surprising number of play features for a relatively small set. Also, the second cave biome is called a dripstone cave.

This is a set I'm hyped for! We get dripstone and some more items from lush caves and the inclusion of 3 skeletons is perfect since I want to build up my mob army
It's nice to see a Minecraft set with so many non-TNT play features. I'm still annoyed about how lazy they can be. "Hey, can you think of a play feature for this set?" "Nope. How about you?" "Me neither, that's why I asked. I guess we'll just use TNT again." I mean, I get that some biomes/structures lack any real interactivity in-game, but they could at least TRY something other than TNT. Or just not have any play features. Not every set needs one.

Man this reminds of the zombie dungeon so much I mean I once had that set but out of nowhere when I finished it for some reason the pieces weren't put together and I was disappointed maybe ill get that skeleton dungeon set someday when it's out

I was lucky enough to get the zombie dungeon and while I was building my nether fortress I destroyed my set to repourpose the spawner as a blaze spawner, wish I waited now

You should do a little bit of a dripstone cave with the deep dark. Oh, and what cha know about rollin down in the deep(dark)
