      Can you make a fantasy magic adventure story told from the POV of the listener? Like "you walk down the forest road" etc. I want to dream of magical fantastical things from a story!

      @@thelastmoonchild. I have a playlist of my stories which guide listener's through first person experiences, including many fantasy stories, and my new stories on this channel that you find in the magical sleep stories playlist are also all guiding listener through a first person experience...

      @@DanJonesHypnosis most of your stuff has background music or sound effects and I personally can't listen to anything with background music. It's super distracting. I tried looking for a playlist with no background music but didn't see any? Please make some without any bg music/sound effects, I would really appreciate it and I know others would as well.

      @@thelastmoonchild. Almost everything from prior to a year ago is voice only, then as so few people want voice only unfortunately and because this is my living I had to start making what people actually want, so started making the magical stories, all of which have sound effects. At that time I continued posting weekly voice only stories on my other channel for those who want that, as there were people saying they did, but after a year of so few people still being interested in voice-only stories the video which went live a week or two ago was the last one as it is a lot of work for so little interest. Only a few hundred of my 113000 subscribers have shown interest in the voice-only stories on my other channel.
      If I could find an audience for voice-only stories then I would create them. Currently I only create them for Patreon.
      Everything I currently release are either the magical stories with sound effects and relaxation techniques in the stories etc, or rain sounds versions of my traditional stories.
      I've got about 300 voice-only stories available here on RUclips though from before I started making the magical stories...
      Generally the default option in the playlists is voice-only for most stories. It is when I've added music or sound effects that I put them in a playlist, so most stories in most playlists are voice-only and most compilations are voice-only.

    I've suffered insomnia for 38 years. Nothing has worked for me likd Dan Jones bedtime stories. Usually, I listen just to fall asleep, but when I wake up multiples times a night, I switch on a bedtime story on and back asleep I go. Takes ten minutes tops for me to drop off! No tossing and turning! No side effect! No grogginess! This is awesome! Plus, it's fun. I look forward to going to bed now. I'm telling everybody about Dan Jones' hypnotic bedtime stories. Thanks so much.

    I've been listening to your sleep stories for just over a year now, and I don't know how I managed without them! I have been plagued by insomnia for most of my adult life, and medication just doesn't work for me. Coupled with chronic pain, it used to take me hours to relax enough to even contemplate attempting sleep...and then I stumbled across your channel! You've made an enormous difference to my life, thank you just doesn't seem enough!
    This afternoon, after a rough few days, I was mentally exhausted but still felt physically alert. I knew there was no chance of sleep, but I needed to try and slow down the racing thoughts in my head. For some reason, I hit upon the idea of listening to this story to try and hear more than the usual 10 minutes. I honestly thought it wouldn't have much of an effect, but I was very wrong! I wish I'd realised sooner that I could use your stories as a way to just shut out the endless thoughts/worries/stress of life, and lose myself for a while without actually falling asleep, and become totally absorbed in the story (honestly, I could smell the old books, and found myself smiling away happily!) Unfortunately, I was disturbed by banging on my door, so couldn't get much further than halfway through, but I feel so refreshed and relaxed afterwards. This is a real game-changer for me, I'll be able to head to bed far earlier, knowing that I can fall into a story and the day's stress/pain can be soothed away, before listening to another story (or even one of your amazing collections) and getting a decent sleep for a change! I'm finally looking forward to an early night, thank you so very much Dan! 😊

    what an amazing discovery to find your channel. I really lie your voice, inflections, and word spacing. Seems a natural gift for telling us stories. Some sleep story channels have a sickly shhhhy voice or baritone creepy one which don't help me sleep. You sound like a normal and good person who would be safe to have sitting beside my bed telling me a bedtime story. I feel asleep calm and happy, thank you.

    I’ve just found you, & want to say THANK YOU!! I’ve been on various sleep meds for most of my life (I’m 43 now, & think I first was given meds when I was only 14😕). The only things that seem to really work are these sleep meditation/stories. I can’t express how much I appreciate you making them :) I love the longer ones, cuz it still takes me a while to unwind, but I actually DO fall ASLEEP now!! Bless you for passing on this gift you have; & your voice is perfect :) Heaps of gratitude & well-wishes from Canada :)🇨🇦❤️🌼💤💤
    PS. When I was a child, I was given audio cassettes of Alice in Wonderland & the Narnia Chronicles. I would listen to those EVERY night, as I fell asleep. I think I ended up knowing ALL the words! I was unable to sleep without one of those tapes playing by my pillow. I visualized myself really being IN the story..& I had the most phenomenal dreams!! These bring me back to those days...I love it ;)

I recently (the past year) found sleep stories and found them very calming and helpful and I’ve always wondered why that sort of comfort felt SOO familiar and you just reminded me that when I was little I would fall asleep listening to books on a little cassette player my parents gave me when I was younger!😄 I know this is random but it’s been on my mind so I just wanted to say thank you!! • @DanJonesHypnosis
      @DanJonesHypnosis  5 лет назад +4

      There is a couple of videos of mine where for some reason the audio has cut out during the latter parts of the stories and I hadn't noticed. One was my original upload of the remake of the Adventure of a Prince. The first someone commented on discovering the issue the video had had over 100,000 views! So it seems no-one had made it that far awake to let me know sooner. I had to upload the story again as RUclips couldn't correct the fault that had happened during the processing after the video is uploaded to the channel. The same happened with another story and took until about 65k views before anyone noticed and mentioned the issue. I don't normally check the videos once uploaded. I know the video before being uploaded doesn't have the fault and the audio file doesn't have the fault... So it could turn out other stories have audio cutting out for a chunk of the video and unless it is near the beginning it won't be identified until someone makes it through the video without talking asleep! I could also save myself time and just record shorter stories! But then there needs to be longer stories for those who take longer to get absorbed in the story and drift to sleep and to deliver the relevant therapeutic metaphors.

      Do you still have your graves disease page? I know that is off topic but autoimmune diseases are heck! I have way to many. So many I am one of a kind. Not the kind I have prided myself on being but still 1 of a kind. I let them study me how ever will not be their lab rat. Thanks for putting up with me Dan.😀 only been here since new year's Eve. Heard part of the story when he started it and was asleep before I knew it. That had never happened before no matter how much money i paid out. I spread the word as much as I can. However I only have about
      65 people on my Facebook 2 or 3 are friends I really never talk to mostly family however the good part is the rest are therapist and doctors most of the doctors are my friends that I talk to. my best friend is a doctor in Cali she's the best I've ever seen and used to be my doctor. However when I died a few times I had to come back to Florida hate it here but this is where my house is. And one of the therapists is actually my therapist. However a couple or not just about every doctor accept my primary care doctor ologist even my eye doctor ends in ologist. I'd really like to find out about your page. I hate to ask for that information on Dan's RUclips channel however this is where I found you. If you still have your page though please keep promoting Dan if you have a form to refer him on. My daughter has tried to talk me into getting my own RUclips channel diseases and just other junk but we'll have to see how that goes Define distorted I will promote Dan on it a whole lot. Again Dan thanks for letting me post something that wasn't fully about your sleep stories on your Channel your

      The challenge was writing my book Bedtime Stories for Grownups which is 20 of my stories from this channel transcribed... It was very difficult listening to 20 bedtime stories to transcribe them without falling asleep...
