Referring to Felix Cavaliere as a singer is a vast understatement. He is a composer of some great music. Music that changed the world. He is an organist who also played the bass parts with his feet. Felix is a pioneer.

We love you, Felix Cavaliere! We love your former bandmates too - Eddie Brigati (superb lead vocalist on "How Can I be Sure?", percussion), Dino Danelli (drums), Gene Cornish (vocals, guitar).

"I like new songs that are fifty years old." Hmmm, yeah, I might have to "borrow" that line to weave into some of my own song lyrics. Don't worry, Felix. I will definitely give you credit for it. 😊

Felix on lead vocals, co-songwriting, song reached #16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Co-lead singer/co-songwriter Eddie Brigati Jr also played percussion. Eddie sang lead on their hit "How Can I Be Sure" !!
I read that Felix wrote the music, and Eddie wrote the lyrics on their songs.

Felix was such a great singer and also a terrific keyboard player. He was good enough to be asked to play as a session keyboardist with Solomon Burke (or one of those Atlantic records artists) when the producer could bring in the best NYC session men.
Watch Dino's left hand in these film clips!
Others Rascals suggestions: "A Girl Like You" "What Is The Reason" "Midnight Hour" "Carry Me Back." Also a shout out to Felix's solo hit "Only A Lonely Heart Sees."
