    This is why i am looking for a toy hauler . It just the toy haulers look so ugly inside.

    • @2199031
      @2199031  3 года назад

      We were kind of in the same boat. The toy haulers didn't have the layout or feel of the traditional travel trailer, but it would be real nice to drive the cart in and tow everything in one hit.

    Thanks for the video. I assume you are able to tow your camper with the tailgate down and it doesn't make contact with the tongue jack?

    • @2199031
      @2199031  2 года назад +2

      Actually I can't. Because of the roll up tonneau cover and the brush guard on my cart, I can't pull in enough to get the rear cart wheels off the tailgate. If you had no cover and no brush guard, a regular golf cart would be able to go in a 6.5' long bed far enough to tilt the tailgate up 1/2 way and out of the way of the trailer tongue jack.

    Hey how’s it going? So was curious of the dry weight of your camper is. I have a 2015 2500hd I am pulling it with. But I do have bigger tires. And about to try to start pulling my camper with my golf cart on the bed of the truck. My camper is about 8350lbs dry weight. And was wondering how close you are to your max weight

    • @2199031
      @2199031  3 года назад

      Our camper loaded (no water) weight is 9,600# on the scale as it sits. 2016 Keystone Sprinter 316BIK (if you want to google the specs) You need to get it on a scale before you try to figure anything else. Sticker dry weight is not accurate. My gasser does struggle sometimes because it just doesn’t have enough torque like the diesels do. We don’t pull more than about 1.5hr from home anyway so I’m not worried about it. If you plan on long trips or keeping your load near max, maybe consider a diesel. I’m pretty sure we are technically over our total CGVWR with a golf cart in the bed. I also have bigger tires 275/65/20.

    • @BO-wd9me
      @BO-wd9me 3 года назад

      @@2199031 yeah I have a diesel. Yeah I have a keystone outback 325bh. Power wise I am good, motor isn’t stock. Just think I am still over the payload weight. I am running 35x12.5r20 with a zone 5” lift set at about 4”. I have had my truck on the scale it is about 8k. But could shed some weight taking the tool box off to fit the golf cart. And brush guard off. And maybe going down In tire size some.

    Was your Ebrake engaged on your truck?

    • @2199031
      @2199031  2 года назад

      No, I haven't used the ebrake since I got the truck because they are known to drag or not release if they haven't been used regularly. This summer I'll have the brakes apart to swap pads, clean, and inspect to make sure everything is working properly before our cross country camper towing trip.

      No it shouldn't if so go back to the dealer and tell them they didn't tighten some up and what I did with the window flipped it down and wrap a Bungee cord or strap around it
