I worked at this pizza place while attending LSU way back in 2004-2005. One day we were all talking about the horrors New Orleanians were experiencing in the aftermath of Katrina; specifically about the guy who cut his girlfriend up and tried to cook different limbs in the oven, in a pot, etc.
I make the offhanded comment "Seems like the kind of thing someone will want to make a movie out of."
My manager at the time, I'll refer to her as "A" (you could find her name if you really cared, but that family deserves to be left alone), gets very quiet and somber-faced. She then says "Well... they have to get sign-offs from the whole immediate family and...." as she rattled off other stipulations for making films from tragedies about real people.
Turned out my manager was Eileen's (from the very first story) sister and, as mentioned in this video, there was a major film made out of speculations about their story.
It's kind of eerie seeing pictures of Eileen because she looks SO much like A.
p.s. A was known for being a pretty hard-assed manager, but she was so sweet to me and I loved working for her. Justsayin..
p.p.s. they didn't fake their death. All of the conspiracy theorizing is pretty inconsiderate and trashy.

The boy lost in the desert should've been found easily. When I was on the CB radio ages ago, we'd play a game called CB Tag, whereas you could discover the location of another vehicle mounted hidden CB radio signal by using an RF meter, whether analog or digital version, you just follow the strength of the signal and with two or three other RF meters, you could triangulate within 10 minutes at the latest with semi-skilled users. Our group was fairly CB savey and could find someone transmitting in very short "Clue" transmissions between 15 and 20 minutes, then someone else would go hide. We used a game area zone the size of two towns. With such a level area as the desert, the signal would be that much easier to locate. So I find it very hard to believe they never found that boy and his fathers radio, I imagine he was transmitting quite long and often. If you've ever watched Hogan's Heroes, there was an episode that the Nazi's were developing a projectile that could "home-in" to a target's radio signal. So yeah... that technology was available.

There is an excellent book, a novel by the well known author
    Patricia Cornwell called
    The Body Farm.
Although the story, about a serial killer is fictional, the descriptions of the Body Farm isnt.
Despite being gruesome, once its functions are explained, its facinating, and gives invaluable
information in determining how & when a person dies, giving Police alot of information in solving their cases.
Ms Cornwell, before turning professional author, worked in the Forensic Anthropology Dept
So although not a qualified Anthropologist was fully conversant with all aspects of her Dept.
At the end of the book, she gives all the details of the Body Farm
In her county as many counties now have a Body Farm.
Its a great book & well worth reading

Thank you for your reply & tactfull correct spelling of Soporific!
I knew id spelled it wrong when i wrote it but i was sooo tired & my brain was spinning in Tesseracts! Lol i couldnt think
I appreciate being corrected about something ive erroneously
Written, how else would we learn otherwise?
Yes, Soporific is a lovely word.
Years ago my mad but genius friend & I began to categorise words into
      1) Woody Words
      Eg Wood, Velvet, Co aggulate,
      Pudding, Smooth etc
      Or
      2) Tinny Words
Eg, Snatch, Screech, Break, Crack, Cut, scream
      Do you get it?
We fully got it and we amused people when they listened to us talk & mid sentence wed announce
      Ooh Woody Word or
Ooh Tinny word after certain words were spoken.
It got to be automatic in our speech & we'd be delighted when a particularly Woody or Tinny word was discovered
I laugh when i think back to us
      Savouring a wonderfully rounded
Woody word as if we were tasting something delicious
Its many many years since then, but whenever i come across a delicious Woody word or a Cacophanous Tinny word i find myself wrapping my tongue round these words & whispering to myself
      Mmmmm Woody
      Or
      Ooooh Tinny!
Ok you may think we were nutters but i think you probably understand full well our reasoning!
If you do, i'll bet you start categorizing Woody & Tinny Words... its addictive! 🤣
So, be of good cheer & spread a little sunshine, all around 🌞
