What a team performance. Jonas was epic, but each and every other member of the team made it possible for him to perform at his best when he needed to.
Jonas vs Tadej might be the greatest cycling rivalry ever, because their styles are different and so are their personalities, one is a single focus attack only when necessary, the other is a flamboyant showman, cocky arrogant brings the circus with him.
Team Jumbo, I just want you to know that I lost a dear friend a few days ago, he died while riding his bike... I was so sad, but seeing you guys win gave me some joy in this hard time! I will never forget it!! 🧡💛❤🩹
A fascinating tour, with battles on all fronts. Jonas finally cooked Tadej on stage 17. Both team Jumbo-Visma and UAE were epic this year, but Jumbo-Visma had much better control of strategy and pace overall. Wout van Aert and Sepp Kuss were absolute warriors throughout the tour, giving everything to protect and support Jonas Vingegaard. To be fair, the whole team gave 150%. It was incredible to watch live on TV. I live in Spain, so I'm going to see if I can get to see La Vuelta live on some of the stages and the finish in Madrid where I live.
What an absolutely epic and exhilarating Tour De France 2023! ❤🎉 The pace was completely out of the water crazy fast on almost every stage this year! Congratulations to Wout Van Aert on listening to his gut, altho it was very obvious it was extremely difficult for him to leave, he received his real reward. 👶💝 Jonas completely deserved his 2nd Yellow Jersey. 🥇💙 Sepp Kuss looked like he'd entered a boxing match in the end, and did an amazing job supporting as well as all the riders in TJV. Goodbye and Good luck to the riders whose last tour it was, Peter Sagan, Tibault Pinot and Dries Deveyns. 🙏💖 Thank you to them and every rider and staff, you ALL helped make The Tour the incredible elite sport and No.1 spectator's sport that it is! That was a great race - well done - the only thing that must be improved is that the speech that Jonas gives as yellow jersey winner MUST be pre-written for him and he MUST learn to say a few sentences in FRENCH.
Deadly boring?? I feel like this was one of the most entertaining tours in recent memory. Countless mountain stages, Tadej coming within 8 seconds of the jersey, it really only wrapped up in the last 4 or 5 stages and even then a show was put on everyday!
@@Cheese-dq6dm The tour wasn't boring, the style of Jonas/jumbo was. Tadej had two bad days, Jonas had 1 perfect TT, and that settled it. But no flair from Jonas at all. What was that wheel sucking on the last stage about? As if you're gonna lose 7 minutes... ATTACK ffs. I'm glad the real stylist won that stage.

I love all the Jumbo Visma boys, but Sepp Kuss was insanely amazing this tour (and frankly this season). The guy is always ready to work...even after serious crashes Sepp always puts the team first. Awesome job and go win the Vuelta España 🟥

This year made me think of the sky dominated years. Deadly effective, deadly boring. Jonas didn't win, pogacar lost.

You are absolutely right. Pogacar lost because he was not as good as Jonas over three weeks. That's how it works.
