Individually great... but when these mechanics have 20 riders, each with 2 road bikes, training bike, TT bike, TT spare etc. etc. it's pretty brutal... especially if you've just switched groupset and wheel sponsor.
I literally gasped when I saw that. Place the FD on the fitting guide on the chain ring. Turn until it’s at the right position and bolt to the frame. So clever.
This is amazing. I can't assemble a bicycle because I ride it, so it's very helpful. I have used SRAM components when I first started test riding, but I think the transmission is easier to handle than Shimano. (However, at first, the shifting accuracy was poor, and I often brought it to a bicycle shop for adjustment. It was Marianne Vos' bike! !
At 5:09 you can clearly see him wrapping the right side of the bar in anti-clockwise motion. Normally we want it to be wrapped in the same direction of the force we apply when riding and this clearly is opposite. Been noticing this in several other pro-build/mechanic vids as well and wonder if that's a trend or it just doesn't matter that much cuz of the backing adhesive?
As I'm going through a very similar build using Red AXS/HRD, can I make a consumer suggestion? Can you NOT send the brake lines filled with fluid? We have to bleed them anyway after internally routing/cutting everything, and it makes a mess when cutting the lines, routing through the frame, etc. I did tape off the ends of the lines when I routed, but it'd be a heck of a lot cleaner if they just came empty. Cool video though, love seeing the builds go so cleanly vs us garage mechanics cursing at the parts, dropping stuff and having it roll away, trying to stage the stuff in the house and having small bits go missing thanks to a cat, etc.
@@10ktube Was yours hooked up to the lever? Usually they come with hose connected to the caliper and sealed, and the lever comes disconnected and sealed by a valve in the hose connector. Almost everything I work on is internally routed, and I never have this issue, unless I'm trying to build with a used groupset.
@@rattila13 yes. This isn't my first rodeo. Had to disconnect, cut, drip drip drip, route it, redo connection, bleed, etc. Wish it came empty and disconnected.
What a faffy build that was. Sorry people but it's a CX. Rim brakes with SRAM red 22 mechanical groupsets. Easy under 6.8kg. this tank will be about 7.5kg.
@@alaefarmestatesllc I anit no elite by all means but I know the bikes to get for easy maintenance and low cost. I know enough whats rubbish and what's good
Because it’s lighter than a soloist and she can also just ask and get an S5 which is more aero than a soloist. Pro teams have money to afford all of them and don’t need to have a bike that’s a compromise between the two.
Something insanely satisfying about watching a bike build video like this.

A gold chain and cassette would really make my road bike match perfectly with the black and gold paintjob. One can only dream!
I have a oilslick Sram Red Cassette, I was lucky to get one. but I am afraid to us it one the bike, and which is completely nuts... 😱
No pressure, you’re just building a bike for The GOAT.
Like an artist at work creating mechanical magnificence, those mechanics are so skillful.
Front derailleur fitting guide, never seen one of them before. Brilliant piece of kit

Looks like NEW Power Meter, Calipers, Hoods for AXS GEN 2!
This is so good I come back to watch it from time to time. Vos ❤
Beautiful... Just beautiful... So calming and intricate...I wish I knew how to do that
Incredible the amount of work that goes into building these complex machines
probably the most beautiful bike assembly video in the world.
Bravo~!!! Wonderful bike~
can't believe I watched the whole thing, but very satisfied that I did...
An artist at work.
I love the chrome brake calipers on SRAM :D

It was Marianne Vos' bike! !
"Fucking SRAAAAAMMM!!" is looking good these days.
Hope new shifters and derailleurs are coming for 2023
And a regular chain
Watch for new Force come spring time
Wao sin palabras con esta hermosa bicicleta y manera de armar #VivaElCiclismo Saludos desde Panamá 🔥🇵🇦
Wow!!! I'd like to see a "slower" build of this bike 🤩🤩
Yes me too please.
Can it get any slower?
@@vietle8157 look at Gee Milner video…
Just set the playback speed option to .5 or less?
So now I understand why TJV went with SRAM. The sprockets color-match the frames!
they added a 0 to the end of the paycheck, sram is a downgrade
@@seanreilly6618 hear hear. Or maybe they like slow shifting?

team mechanics will often know which direction a rider tends to twist their wrist, and change up their wrap direction to compensate for that.
Good luck ❤
Now that is a Service Course! Starship Enterprise for bikes.
Poetry in motion !
Thank you
Ohhhh yes, that's bikeporn.......
🤤🤤🤤🤤
Loved this video!
Amazing work place !!! love it
the GOAT!!!!
I loved...❤️
Good job🚲👍🤘
Exquisite
Such a satisfaction
The End🤩
Marianne ❤❤❤
The Boss 👍❤
Ein Gedicht!
god this is pure amazing
This would be this first bike build video of Team Jumbo Visma with SRAM groupset. The previous equipment sponsor was Shimano.
Dream bike
❤❤❤
Funny that they finish the video with a DT Swiss 240 Hub. Details... small important details :)
Merry Christmas Sram
@sram Please do a short tech video about wrapping the wireless blips!
Dit is vakwerk mensen,zo een fiets gaat ook met 100 km/h de bult af 👍
Vos is Boss 😊
Dutch Team, Gold bike parts reminds me of Goldmember from Austin Powers
Gold on the chainring would have made it a 10/10 :p
fully wireless shifter is nice.
5:35 what you cant hear is “tsk, tsk, tsk” of the brake rub! 😅
What fsa handle bars was put on this bike?
How long did the entire build take him? Or... how log would it take your average pro mechanic to assemble all of this?
Can we get a 11-32 cassette? I dont use the 10 cog and the 33 is a bit too much.

Why are you cutting the lines before you route them? They come bled and sealed from the factory, it's super clean and easy to deal with.
@@rattila13 internal cable routing.

grease heaven
Sad music in minor key for the internal cable routing. ;)
Where can you buy the gold chain and cassette?
Nowhere, it is a special edition by SRAM for world champions.
Can I get one of those?😊
No 180 hubs?
Do you use titanium bolts?
yes, RED uses titanium bolts
If there’s any unwanted frames or bikes let me know..
Will never be an sworks
What's custom about it? - looks like an off the peg frame with off the peg components.
talk about a workshop
Lucky for the competition they didnt use a Hambini bottom bracket. That would make this bike and Marianne even
faster.
A DO KIBLA CZY DO WIADRA W GALERI HANDLOWEJ ?
PS.JA DO WIADRA
She be even faster on a Sworks.
One problem. Its still SRAM lmfao
No shimano no yellow jersey
I'd ride a cervelo if I was paid to
Otherwise, not worth the prices
Guy uses a lot of grease.
That frame is too big
to editor, terrible choice of music

R5 is one of the lightest frames on the market, shallow wheelset, new groupset.. Would be surprised if this is above 7.2kg

Because it’s lighter than a soloist and she can also just ask and get an S5 which is more aero than a soloist. Pro teams have money to afford all of them and don’t need to have a bike that’s a compromise between the two.
