    Two things:
    1. As someone, who doesn't wear make up, I was in for a bit of a surprise when you said minimal make up, and then pulled out this rather large bag 🤣
    2. I was looking at jewelry the other day, and they had butterfly jewelry, and it made me think of you 💖

When travelling to England, always pack a trench-coat. You could take it with you on the plane. I live in Brittany, we're having the same awful summer, cold, rainy with occasionnal bits of sunny weather. I'm wearing jackets and light scarves nearly every day.

The ten item wardrobe helped me so much here recently. I got the call my nephew had just passed from cancer. FYI, I come from a very hot country. In the middle of summer it reaches 120F. We don’t go sleeveless or short sleeve. Billowy long sleeves are better. It’s cooling and it’s a layer against the sun. Imagine 120 F sun hitting your skin. Unbearable. I don’t think you will need to pack up your long sleeve dresses. Just my .02 cents. Thank you profusely for your content. I learn so much.

I always thought that my wardrobe is quite functional. I use a lot of items all year round, and also thought that that is some sort of an achievement to make it work 🤔 But once I met your ten item wardrobe, I started to like the simplicity and elegance and wanted to give it a try. At first I only sorted everything that I was definitely going to wear this season (for us it's now winter). I soon realized that I didn't even need to add any of my in between pieces, because I was still well over 10 items, and suddenly everything was just working so much better! I appreciate each item more because I wear them more often, but in so many different ways. To keep my mixing and matching interesting, I always try to create a different style or silhouette. That makes a garment look fresh and new even if I am wearing it weekly. I like the challenge of new combinations, and the creativity involved in wearing a piece to its full potential. It will definitely change the way I will buy new items, but for now I don't even need anything. I am more than happy with my new/old wardrobe! ❤

Hey Jennifer! I loved this video!
I organized a little book club to read your book Polish Your Poise with Madame Chic and so far everyone is loving it! We are only 4 chapters in and it has been life-changing for everyone in the group.
I wanted to ask you if you already have a video about all of the different ways to tie a scarf? That may sound silly, but I love the idea of adding scarves to my wardrobe, and while your descriptions were great I'm more of a visual learner lol. Let me know if there's already something like that, and if not, how fun would it be to make an entire video on how to tie scarves! 🤩
Hope you have a great rest of your week, Jennifer, and keep up the great work!

I think evaluating how a wardrobe is actually working, as you do here, is as important as the initial selection of the items. I noticed that when I declutter, the items I let go of are those with comfort or fit problems like tops that reveal too much or skirts that need to be tugged down a lot. It’s hard to assess the details completely in a first try on. Sometimes just an irritating seam is the cause of editing out an item, if I can’t fix it. Nice video, thanks❤

Hi Jennifer, the weather here in England has been terrible so far! Im so interested to see you successfully using your 10 item wardrobe over here and in such challenging conditions too. I'm trying it for this summer and was so excited to put together a summer wardrobe but i havent worn all of it yet. Its been nice to have summer things ready to go when we do get the odd warm day. I did, however, keep a few extra 'transition' items and im glad i did as i have options ready to go when the weather pours with rain.
Fingers crossed that you get some lovely weather here before you return to California.

We went to London, Edinburgh, and Dublin this summer, and I didn't pack well. My first problem, I had no mother in law to borrow from. I had only my carry on that I packed, It rained, it was cloudy, and it was muggy. I wasn't ready for any of it as a Californian. Only having a carry on was tough for our travels. I just worried about losing our suitcases for our trip. We were still flagged going to Ireland for our carry ons, and they did lose our luggage. It was terrible, but we made do.

I think it depends on how long you're there for. If I have an a flight, I never travel under the carrying allowance. It also helps because you have space when bringing stuff back if you purchase anything.
I would look into being reimbursed for lost luggage by the airlines. Some have a policy for that including purchases you make due to the missing items
