I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed the Miyatora koi I’ve bought. I can’t speak for their size potential but I can speak for the body shape, beni, and shiroji have all been spot-on.
Wow great koi and great walk through Tim, im very new to this world do you do a video or recommend magazines or books about learning about the different koi Great work
Very impressive Tim and thanks for the explanation of the farm and it’s business model . It seems sone farms tend to concentrate on a small number of varieties and especially Gosanke and some like Miyatora and others breed a wide variety which is great for the public I do love sone of the odder varieties I liked your previous video at the shop on jumbo koi but non Gosanke where you n Paul Bowled up some crackers . I did call in on QN when I was in the north west with work but just missed you in a traffic jam and got to shop late . I must have a drive over in spring from NE . Great video and I’ve learned a lot from my local dealer Brian and these great videos . Ps some nice Hi Utsuri in those ponds my faves .cheers again.
Always amazes me how you know another breeder I've never heard of or seen fish from and the quality is that good !! As always it's great to get these insights
Great video Tim! They way the Koi swarm towards you is amazing. I know they generally tend to do that in shops and that but to see it on that scale is amazing 😃👍
Cheers Tim, unlike the Brits the Japanese seem to be great at building successful, sustainable businesses based on learning & perfecting their art. That off the cuff comment about your father has led me to your Koi Talk interview which is quite a history lesson for the unversed in Koi heritage in the UK. It's interesting how we're percieved dependant on the audience, much of which is based on knowing or unknowing biases ....getting too deep here. Anyway dude be well.

They are good fish. Since the son took over they have become much more mainstream.
