This was a fantastic video Tim, really enjoyed the history and story, definitely one of the best koi related videos I've watched l cheers for sharing mate.
Fantastic video Tim really interesting love it when you do stuff like this these are the best kind of video's.The history is fascinating and just amazing part of how these farms are operating and providing us with koi! Great Tim 5*👍👍
Fabulous memories Tim. Driving from breeder to breeder in the mountains then dropping in several times to Marusei and Maruhiro was mind blowing. Wonderful video. Cheers Tim.
Great video, i love Japanese culture. The first premises i can just see Peter pottering and dealing there and see where his vision came from for filtration. That big concrete filter was an Epic Epic wasn’t it 😆
Best Chagoi on the planet are Marusei I have a few Marusei . People rightfully shout about Shinodas Hi Utsuri but for me Marusei breeds them as equally good . I have Gin Rin Hi Utsuri, Gin Rin Ki Utsuri, Ki Kin Utsuri and a Chagoi from this farm . Wonderful Koi . A huge amount of variety’s without letting qualify slip , that’s some feat !!!!!!
All these koi farms appear to be organised chaos . I couldn’t believe how manky the Bakki was at Momotaro we’d be polishing the stainless steel in the UK but it works and these guys are the Masters so what do we know ?????
Those are always the best videos. This is where the confusion starts, i have 2 Hirasawa chags. Are they the dad's original lineage? Or totslly different. Same with sanke, i have seen some Seitaro sanke for sale. Are they the dad and separate from Marusei?
@@LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection to be honest it was to sell the same Koi under 3 different names! Especially when websites first came out, we used to do it!
my advice for your site is please when you’re turning turn slower, cause you’re causing us viewers to be nauseous due to your constant turning too fast
I’m not trained in video, I just use my phone because I’m there. There are far better people doing videos, maybe check them out. I do mine how o do them. If I have to change, I just won’t bother doing them.
Nice to hear these 'back in the day' stories from your times in japan 👍
That was a superb watch Tim, thanks for that. Very interesting 👍🏼 🐟 ⛩️
Awesome video and super cool backstory! Man, those hi utsuri 😍 beautiful!!
Tim, this video for me is without doubt one of the best you have ever produced, just love all the history side of koi, well done and thanks 👍👏👏😀

This was a fantastic video Tim, really enjoyed the history and story, definitely one of the best koi related videos I've watched l cheers for sharing mate.
It's amazing when you see ponds with 20 koi in them and how obsessed the owners are with filtration and then see these ponds.
I gave up trying to understand it haha
Absolutely ridiculous loving the proper old skool feel of that place. Epic video 👏

Hello! How do you set up a farm tour?
All these koi farms appear to be organised chaos . I couldn’t believe how manky the Bakki was at Momotaro we’d be polishing the stainless steel in the UK but it works and these guys are the Masters so what do we know ?????
Organised chaos is spot on!
1000 square meters of Japanese matting in the filter lol 😂
Those are always the best videos.

Yep, all Marusei !
@@TimWaddington thanks Tim. So why do they use different names than Marusei? Is it to differentiate the different lineage?
@@LauMagroTheFrenchKOInection to be honest it was to sell the same Koi under 3 different names! Especially when websites first came out, we used to do it!
@TimWaddington ah I see. Thanks Tim.
Hiroi retiring Tim ? The breeder and dealer that picks up high potential Tosai that slip by the koi breeders
He’s not in the best of conditions right now. This was a different Hiroi.

Numbers of fish sold I would say yes
