Your last two videos have been the best Tim. Full of information and learning. Looking forward to seeing the tosai. Hope you pencil me in for 8 nice pieces. Brilliant.
A great insight to the process. A very lucky client! Wish I could afford to get something of that quality. One day, fingers crossed. Keep em coming.......
Fantastic video. Was really nice to see the process of choosing and see what you prefered. I chose the same showa but not the same kohaku. The sanke's body and skin... wow. The landscape was amazing. My dream to take picture in winter in japan. One day... 😊
Great video Tim them koi were amazing, it was good to see you representing the North well in a t shirt on the snowey mountain 😅, the noodles looked mint aswel mate.
Yeah I’ll try and do it when clients are actually there too. With the new camera I don’t have to use my phone which is where I’m selling the Koi. So hopefully more.
I heard you mention Mark Gardner. I still watch some of his videos. It hurts my heart that he started breeding koi which he said was a dream of his and was not here to continue it. A man with great passion and joy for Koi.
Brilliant video as always can you help me please I have one of those big Japanese wooden nets but the net has now perished where can I purchase just the net to replace the old one its 29 inches can you help please rich cambridge
@@mister8116 when I sell Koi in Japan I work on a set %. Koi of this value are very rarely sold on the off chance someone might come in the shop and buy them. The market for sales of high quality expensive Koi is very small. These would have been too expensive for me to sell in the shop, that’s why we sell them in Japan.
I understand that often its 'eye of the beholder' but you put three back at 9.55...why ? what was 'wrong' with them ? The two selected together ( 16.30 ) can I ask what the price is..or an aproximation of what the price is. You said the koi would stay there till October..why ? I wish I understood all this.
I just preferred the other ones really. I look at the best options for the client. I just didn’t feel them really, nice Koi but I have to be sure for my client. I want return business. The Koi are sold, it’s not fair to reveal the price. Also, on a different day they could have been more. The Koi in Japan go out into massive ponds for the summer and they will get really good growth and hopefully come out in October around 62cm. Check out some of the harvest videos I posted in October/November 👍
Great insight Tim.
Crazy how big they get in only 18 months!
Even the food looks epic!
This was the best video, I loved it, choosing koi was so so much more interesting

Really nice Koi
Thank You!!! This is Excellent & Interesting!
You're very welcome!
I'd if had that first showa in the bowl! 😍
Me too. I would love to see it once the sumi all comes in.
That kage showa was beautiful. What is the biggest gamble with tosai? Conformation, skin, or pattern?
Traits and experiences from the past I think mate. It’s never easy!
This was one of your best videos Tim. We need to chat about a shintro azukari sanke. You'll be going out again in April?
Yeah 👍
Great. That maraten was nice!
Brilliant video as always can you help me please I have one of those big Japanese wooden nets but the net has now perished where can I purchase just the net to replace the old one its 29 inches can you help please rich cambridge

What’s a good budget to buy koi’s in Japan? So hobbyist around the world can enjoy and share your experience.
We try and buy to the clients budget. It’s not always easy depending on variety
How do you not pick more. when there are so many ? Apart from what’s for the client ?
It’s price dependent really. Some are less then the clients budget and some are more.
@@TimWaddingtonI ment for you to have in your collection

So what is the budget for those imported into the UK?
The first 2? I probably couldn’t buy them for re-sale in the UK. Koi like this are sold in Japan really

I totally get you don’t like to discuss prices but some idea of the cost of these high end pieces would be helpful please.
Wer always guessing the price lol 😅😂
I have no issue saying the price but maybe the client wouldn’t like that
