I'm a working musician. No, the song isn't all that hard. But the way you teach is great. You get right to it. No bs about your great ect... I've been looking for a teacher like you since before you were born.
Nailed it! And, explained it so well. Zeroed into the Duane zone. This is hands down my favorite song by them. The subtlety and profundity of his approach to guitar totally captivates me. What a cool mood (and mode) to dwell in, guitar-wise. Thanks for helping me get there. I've been playing for over 40 years, but 10 minutes of your lesson took me to the place I wanted to go.
Hi Kyle, thank you for this excellent tutorial on one of my favorite Gregg Allman compositions! I appreciate that you broke down the rhythm, bass, and solo parts that make up the magic of this tune. I'm looking forward to learning from your #2 tutorial!!
This is the first time I've seen one of your videos. I was blown away. The lesson was clear. And it was great to listen to, too. Ending with backing track and including the chart was just incredibly generous. Thanks!
Of course you've been helpful! So well composed - this is continually helping me to put it all together. Like you mentioned, there are so many parts to this tune - that's what makes it so fun to play but getting all the parts in sequence is another story - lol. Thank you kindly.
Hey Kyle- you did it again! Thanks for the sweet “Dreams” lesson! This is the first thing I ever heard from the Brothers and I became an instant fan all those years ago. Thanks again and I know this will help keep! I’m looking forward to the next “Dreams” lesson! Take care!
midrider335 thanks man, comments like yours are very motivating! I've always loved this tune as well and can't believe how brilliant Duane was in his phrasing. More to come on the new channel
Great Lesson! I had been jamming on this song with friends and wanting to get a little more proficient and your video cuts through any gray areas I might have had. Thanks, also, for the practice track. Not to be taken as a criticism but what I wish more YT teachers would include is just a quick rundown on tone settings which would not only hit amp levels or pedals but also pickup selection, tone and volume on the guitar itself. Again, not criticizing a very helpful lesson...just saying something in addition that would be very useful to me. Thanks!
Hey Kyle, thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed. My just-turned-teen niece has shown an interest in the guitar, asking my brother and me if we could show her some basics on our guitars. She has a natural talent and it’s a pleasure watching her use the internet to find the fingering and strumming patterns for her favorite artist. How did you get started?
Hey, Daniel, thanks. I am self taught starting about age 15 on a really poor quality old acoustic guitar from the 60s. Listening to my dad's old rock and blues albums and the radio, I've listened to classic rock since I was little and learned to play by ear and from books. It took a long time before the internet to figure things out so your niece has a great resource in RUclips!! I'm teaching Laurel guitar and her Mom is teaching her piano. Do you play any instruments?
Vintage Wood Workshop, hey Kyle 🤓 yep, my niece is very fortunate. My brother and I play guitar, but not seriously. Luckily we have instruments that inspire my niece. I had a feeling Laurel would be learning from you. I love the videos she’s in, your relationship with her is precious. Greetings from California.
