FINALLY a cephalopod video where I actually learned something new -- ALLOT new -- as opposed to EVERY other video with the same topics pointed out over and over again... VERY GOOD...!!!

At mark 0:45 the morphing done by that octopus is simply amazing. The reality of animals with dynamic camouflage actually takes away uniqueness from morphing anomalies, morphing anomalies are being observed regularly on the atmosphere; morphing anomalies are now not that "extraordinary" since living animals are doing exactly the same, this reality also is another blow to people that jump to the "extraterrestrial" idea when they see something weird or hard to explain. Great presentation and with a lot of connections to apparently new lifeforms that are being observed on the atmosphere.

Hello, Dr. Roger. Nice videos here, I have watched all of them, and made some research annotations towards a sci-fi book I'm writing. Would you be willing to dwell into this "fantasy and speculative" field for a minute, and give me an opinion based on your knowledge on cephalopods? In a different world, a different timeline, how would cephalopods evolve to conquest the land? Would they develop lungs? Maybe strenghten some tentacles with extra muscle to walk around? Have you ever thought about this scenario, and if so, could you share some of your thoughts about it? Would help me a great deal. Thank you for this post.
