- Join us for this first chapter of my feature movie 'Insight - The Trophy Quest' which features Leif Stavmo from Sweden as he tries to capture the brown trout of his dreams.
The massive Beech tree seeding event of 2019/20 caused an explosion in the backcountry mouse population with the fish dining out on them and some trout doubled their size in a matter of a 4-5 months.
Our quest was for each of a party of 5 over 6 days to land what we call a double figure trout (over 10lbs in weight) Also watch Chapter 2, 3 & 4!

It doesn't get any better than this for content. Just a month out from the new season. This is a great way to get the juices flowing as we lead into October. This film has been purchased sitting in my file alongside chasing the magic. They're worth every cent and more than what I paid for them to be fair. Hi Mike, a really great video. The anticipation for our trip to New Zealand in January is rising day by day. In particular, of course, the 3-day trip with Hans Kreuer. We are also curious how much empty money it will cost us until we can successfully land the first fish. Either way, it will certainly be an unforgettable experience for us.👍👍👍

Those are some absolute pigs at the start. Just out of curiousity, how much did your largest Trout weigh?
Yep they sure are. Biggest was a guess as my digital scales stopped working but around 18lb

This guy should be banned from uploading vids on YT. His vids are bad for the health. They increase envy, jealousy and blood pressure in flyfishermen around the world. Also lead to convulsive twitching in the muscles responsible for setting the hook and fighting fish.😂😂😂
