  • Here's Sam & Ray Stevens live on CabaRay Nashville performing the classic song "Rainy Night In Georgia". Sam recorded his version with Conway Twitty in 1994, but it was originally written by Tony Joe White in 1967 and popularized by R&B vocalist Brook Benton in 1970.

Just found this? Ray Stevens? Who's he?
but its a stop on the rabbit hole......after hearing Conway and Sam, from the original studio.....which was truly leaking rain, and was being mixed/produced by Don Was.
Don still talks about the session, and the Duo's heart driven singing. WDET-FM Detroit. DWMCPL.
Sam Moore. THIS is a continued gospel spiritual true to its spirit, and never to be forgotten........becuase I just said so. Thank You Don Was Motor City Playlist

Poor Sam just couldn’t do it alone or with his music. Always had to swing from from Brook Benton’s nuts or someone else. This is a dumpster fire of disrespect.

Jump in that dumpster fire buddy as you wouldn't know respect if you fell over it.
