Wow man thank you so much for creating this!!! I speak lebanese arabic at a begginers level and this is just perfect to help me learn more!! I am living here in Lebanon for 1 year and it really has refreshed my memory and taught me new words that i have never heard before. Shookran!!!
I'm lebanese, born in Australia, i understand Lebanese Arabic very well but I can't speak it very well. My children only speak and understand English. They can't understand Arabic at all so I'm trying now to speak more Arabic at home so they can learn. Thanks for the tips.
I am Lebanese, born in Australia too. I understand half Arabic but I cannot speak it. My dad talks to me in Arabic sometimes, still hard to understand though.
I'm in the very same boat. Born and raised Aussie. My husband is born in Lebanon but lived in Italy half his life. I tell him all the time. To talk to us in Arabic but he talks to us in English. 😆 My two little ones understand but talk a little. The only time my Arabic improved was when I went to Lebanon. But even then the people talk English expect the elderly generation. I can't win. Lol 😆🇱🇧👍
Same lol but its sooooo hard but I will try as all my cousins speak it and my dad is embarrassed that I don’t. Litterally a few weeks ago at a very Lebanese auntie roasted me for not speaking it but next year we are nearing her in beruit and I’m going to shock her hopefully with my *bEAutIfuL AcCenT*
I live in the US and there is a lebanese restaurant near my work. The people there are so nice! I am trying to learn some phrases to surprise them next time I have lunch there.
I miss Lebanon. I lived in Hamra for a few months and it was one of the greatest times in my life. Your simple ass lesson woke up every thing I forgot since then. I even remembered the fucking numbers you guys use in the middle of letters while texting :D. Thanks for the nostalgia, dude!
As a non-Arabic speaker, the first thing I realized about the Lebanese dialect (other than it being incredibly beautiful, like the country itself) is that the “qaaf” is somehow skipped. Example “Naqoura” is pronounced as “Na’oura”.
finally i found a successful Lebanese youtuber and i subscriber and damn i thought that you had 1million subs or something but no so i came to help you a little bit so i am gonna tell my friends to subscribe to you :)
It is amazing, that you are initiating this and I loved your approach! Why? Because it is EXACTLY the way how I managed to learn lebanese Arabic and I really believe that I reached a very fluent level. How? By learning phrases, not words. By being persistent and curious curious curious. But of course there has to be a huge interest in learning the language. I just loved the dialect so much that I really committed in learning and now after 2-3 years of learning it as a hobby, I love to be able to communicate. It just inspiring. But I also picked up new words, didnt know the words for curtain or bombs so many thanks for this and more importantly: keep up the good work!!
Anil Öt That's amazing! I'm trying my hardest to learn Lebanese Arabic since I'm part Lebanese but I haven't really made much progress. If I may ask, what resources did you use to learn Lebanese? How many hours did you spend per day on Lebanese. Thank you so much!!
I am not Arab. The first time I ever heard of Baalbek was watching videos of Mashrou Leila (one of my favorite bands) doing a concert there. The venue was so beautiful that it made me go search more videos about Baalbek. It seems like a very vibrant and wonderful place. The large stone structures, the small shops, the people, everything is just so alive. I would love to visit there some day.
im lebanese-armenian. i was born in lebanon and i went to an armenian school. even though we were taught arabic it was hard for me to learn since i was surrounded by armenians only. im in 10th grade right now and when i finish 12th grade im gonna go to university and study arabic (i live in armenia now btw). this was really helpful thank you so much for the tips!!!!
Im Lebanese but I was born in canada and learned english more than arabic, I understand most words and phrases but the tricky words are hard for me to understand but I can understand whats being said using the words I already know, I can never find any videos with lebanese arabic until now, Thank you!
Love Aractingi's film takht el qaSef, also Danielle Arbid's m3arek hob and Elie Khalife's ya nusak. I finally figured out that nusak actually stands for nqSak, نقصك
So glad I found your channel 😂 I'm not a Arabic speaker by mother tongue but I've been learning for some years 😂 and I think you mean the ma3rab language on the Internet 😂
Its an accent as well as a dialect. For example I can understand and kinda speak to people who speak the Lebanese dialect of Arabic, sometimes Syrian as well. Thing is, I genuinely cannot understand the Egyptian and Iraq dialect. Words are similar for the most part though there are words that are different, pronunciation does change as well. Sayings, greeting and certain key words change between the dialects. Its like France French and Quebec French
Of my four favorite Lebanese movies you only included ta7t el qasef. The others are Danielle Arbid's m3arek 7ob/In the Battlefields; Elie Khalife & A. Monnier's ya noosak, with the very sexy Zeina Daccache; and Michel Kammoun's falafel. In the Battlefields is available from Amazon, the last two I have only found at ABC mall in Beirut. Danielle Arbid is an extremely talented director, I would recommend all her films, including the documentary 7ala 7arb/seule avec la guerre, and 7oudoud/aux frontieres.
To describe Lebanese people Lebanese: because of nationality Phoenician: because of heritage, but it’s more complicated then that due to all of the influences. Arab: because of language and Arab league = 100% Levantine Arab or simply Lebanese

Even gulf countries don't speak Fuzha believe me ق is pronounced ga . ج ya. ريال. Fuzha رجال. K ك is sometimes pronounced cha. Like chi.

Andreas cool yeah lebanese is just an accent not a language

1:02 THANK-YOU WISE SIR
So many people make this mistake. Unless you're mute, learning to read is redundant until you can speak

help a fellow Lebanese out and shout me out in your next vid!!
SEBtheLEB haha😀 i love watching him
Lebanese Arabic isn't the most spoken dialect in the Arab world but however, it sounds good. I think it's a good choice.
To describe Lebanese people
Lebanese: because of nationality
Phoenician: because of heritage, but it’s more complicated then that due to all of the influences.
Arab: because of language and Arab league
= 100% Levantine Arab or simply Lebanese
Apparently a test with ancestry DNA was done and 90 percent of Lebanese were traced back all the way to the caanans and phoeninis
Matar tv is the kind of guy to not to care and im lovin' it

Egyptian Arabic is the most spoken dialect, and also the most represented in middle-Eastern cinema. Lebanese Arabic sounds more elegant, though.
I’m Egyptian but I wanna speak Lebanese!!!!!!!
