there's nothing more satisfying than close wheel to wheel racing !!!
The Falken Porsche was special, miss it.
They're still competing but not in gtlm only in gt3 races
this track and series are so underrated
I do miss the Falken Porsche so....
damn so many great cars and drivers in the 2014 season! who else misses the Falken colors??
I loved the Vipers in red, they had just got them set up perfectly too.
God I miss Bob Varsha calling these races.
Todd Michaels And Greg Creamer is a joke
i hope he is alright now
Very very impressive to be able to go toe to toe with skilled ex F1 drivers like that, even if you dont come out on top. Great driving by all.
The rear-engined Porsche VS the mid-engined Ferrari VS the front-engined BMW: the living legacy of the American Le Mans Series.
Whatever happened to that Dane Cameron fellow? 😉
he's a porsche works driver now, i am glad to say
I got to see this race live, what a day.
Luck
That was the one that got the vipers doing wheelies?
The world needs more Falken-Porsches.
Still watching this 2014 classic IMSA race during corona quarantines in 2020 😇😇
Thanks for reposting, one hell of a race.
a great clip of risi competizione. every time i get to see them race, they crash. so i try not to watch them anymore even though they are my favorite team. the 911 is my favorite car, so this is a great clip. but I'm not joking. every single race i've ever seen with risi in it, they have crashed or WERE CRASHED BY ANOTHER DRIVER.
I just wish they would drop fisichella. The guy is unprofessional (no where near Sage Karam though). I like the team owner and his character he carries around, but I hate Ferrari just because how Sergei Machonnie is and how fisichella is,
Seriously shoving another car towards the field marshalls who had nothing to do with your on-track issues (a risk to THEIR safety), is absolute bullshit and he should be kicked from the series. IMSA needs to be harsher on their drivers.
I was at this race,, and it was excellent. I believe there was a big wreck entering the uphill esses. A porsche got squeezed out and flipped several times ending on the tire barrier, nearly hitting three flaggers and a courageous and dedicated camera man.
I miss these days…
I miss all of these cars
The glory days of GTLM. With GTD pro coming in I think it'd be good to BOP them with more power so they can separate from the AM drivers.
Imsa so underrated. What a race !!!
I remember watching this race. What a great one it was, too!
FANTASTIC racing
I miss the Z4, much more elegant than the big whale M6.
PorscheAG 930TurboS, Can't wait for the M8 to take its place
What? The M8 will only replace the GTLM, not the GT3 variant. Their ideology is quite simple. M4 GT4, M6 GT3 and GTE M8.
I miss them too for the same reason :(
I've never heard of this race track before but it's fantastic.
tasteslikecrunchies there’s a episode on this track on Amazon now. Look up Dinner With Racers and there’s a VIR episode. Cool history
I loved the single car loners of ALMS, like Falken. I wish the current series could increase participation in GTLM and draw some other car types in.
Super Aufnahmen! Schade das der Z4 nicht mehr dabei ist!
Man that was a great fight. Also that viper sounds way too nice.
This is the real racing ,only close battle

I miss the oak tree
Can you upload a grand am race next?
Back when tire war is common, Porsche with Falken tires.
Que epoca LA de falken Porsche
This was so cool its like i was the driver :)
Youre a better driver then the driver
I'm fairly new to auto racing, can anyone explain the difference in GTLM and GTD? Are they different from GT3?
GTD are GT3 cars and GTLM are GT cars that run in Le Mans. Basically GT2 cars for a simple explanation. A decent amount more downforce then the GTD cars
GTLM is the IMSA class that literally contains the fastest Gran Touring cars in the world, driven by the fastest Pro drivers from around the world. Usually theyre factory teams but Falken and Risi Competizione are privateer teams that are factory supported. GTD is the class that contains the FIA GT3 spec Gran Touring cars and are usually driven by 1 Pro driver and 1 Amateur driver. Cars in GTD are in theory "slower" than cars in GTLM but only because they don't generate as much down force. if you watch a rolex 24 race you can see for yourself that both GT classes can keep a relatively even pace on the banking. but as soon as that turn comes up to the infield, GTLM peels off.
Javier Rosado Jr. thanks for this! I've been primarily into motocross bc I ride. But I've been getting into GT racing Indy and F1 lately. I have so many questions lol thanks again 🏎🏎
It's basically nomenclature.
GT Le Mans = GT Endurance
GT Daytona = GT3
Fantástico Ferrari.-
FISICHELLA fantastico
This was when imsa was at its best. crazy the decline it now is on.
I miss these announcers. greg creamer just does nothing for me.
Nice porsche
First lol.
Dirty driver in the Falken-sponsored Porsche.
