So I think its more comparable to the JX8. The VE33s is on the stiffer side of the gummy tires but this also means that its a great do it all tire that doesn't wear out in a few hours of riding.

Would this tire do well in fast desert terrain? Test the tire out at 5 Mile Pass, the tire shredding area!! Love your lumberjack riding shirt! My go to bike for all conditions is the 300xc, but my boy rides it most of the time so I end up on my KX450 which rips in most conditions except for tight technical slow mountain riding.
I am going to try! On the high speed roads It felt fine but probably need to take it out to the desert or down faster fire roads. Yeah 5 mile is a dust bowl full of tire shredding rocks haha. You are a good Dad letting your buy ride the 300XC 😀
Keep an eye on that Garmin Fenix. I took many a dive in one race and it flew off . Never found it. Those quick release bands will pull out.
Yeah I cracked the face, was riding behind a buddy on a gravel ride and at some point it got shattered 😂
How did you end up liking this tire and how long did it last?
I like it. It’s still on the bike with about 10 hours so far it’s holding up the same as other gummy tires out there just ok
