  • This a short video on how my people in the Eastern Highland of PNG prepare their local dish called "mumu" which means buried under the soil. The mumu takes about 45 to 60mins to cook and is enjoyed during gatherings like, feast, weddings or other cultural events.

I've visited Papua New Guinea (PNG) and discovered that each province has its unique way of preparing mumu, known as lovo in Fiji, umu in Samoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, imu in Hawaii, ahima'a in Maohi Nui, and Hangi in Aotearoa (New Zealand). It's fascinating to see the diverse cooking styles across the Pacific region.
