It seems that the best performers in the Broadway tradition are more likely to be found here, in Germany, or in the UK, than on Broadway. And I'm not just referring to the vocalists, but the musicians as well, performers just as skilled musos as those in the symphony orchestra that performs under the WDR heading. All unite in producing thrilling performances, and over a wide range of musical idioms. A hero's journey indeed. From the bottom of my classical-trained heart, thank you for this thrilling ride, showing that what's true music knows no boundaries of idiom.
