Hey mate! Thanks for watching. I’m sure my way isn’t the ‘best’ as im sure there’s a ton of ways to do it, but hopefully some ideas can be used and made better. This way has worked well for us so far. Enjoy! Thanks again.
I've done the same on our gu patrol with a rhino rack. I went with a 100w slimline panel with Calflute under it as the black racks bake in the sun! I used the channels with nuts and aluminium plate to clamp down. We are running the Evakool dc40 , dometic console fridge , enerdrive dcdc and 100ah dcs lithium batt. with perfect sun I get in 6a and that is enough to keep it topped up. We also keep the fridges on at all times. Great video for anyone wanting to give it a go !
For the physical size I'd doubt if it's output was 250w. I've been looking for a similar size panel and the Ridge Ryder and Hard Korr panels have good reviews and don't cost a lot. Cheers for your videos 👍
Hello sir , I think that no need to use voltmeter , you just connect it to DC - DC step down converter ,. It is very easy , you can adjust it about 14,5V out put or 15v out put is enough for you , it will be stable the out put voltage for you ,
Hello sir , why don't you use 2 pices of solar panel for getting more power or more Amps ? 😎My car is Nissan March 1993 and I just can put only one panel because the roof is too small , 1 panel= 20V , 5Amp , I was very happy after installation because I save the battery life time and save gasoline ,. If I can get bigger panel , it is very good for me , I have try to order bigger panel from China but the Chinese seller mostly are cheating persons , I have order 140w and they send to me 110w only , so I just throw away , Why Chinese and Vietnamese mostly are the best cheating persons in the world ???
Hi ya how has the panel held up?
Thanks for this video. I'm planning to do something similar soon and it is interesting to see how others tackle it.

These type of panels don't last more than 2 years so factor that into your decision

Great job, very neat. How is the solar panel going 11 months down the track, has the output reduced?
Hello what type of volt meter are you using

You can adjust your gun by unscrewing the collar on gun which shortens the thread
Makes sense, my gun didnt have that option unfortunately.. i can imaging most would though!

There's loses in the efficiency wiring dust etc normal to be 80% of what panels are rated at
