I’m recording my first EP with my first band at the ripe old age of 35 right now, and this was exactly the video I needed to see as we’re knee deep in this process. Everything about authenticity and what one’s musical statement is has been bubbling under the surface of my consciousness for a while now, and it’s great to hear it articulated. You rule, Andy. I had the fortune of meeting Andy Timmons with the That Pedal Show guys last month, and it was incredible. A more humble and gracious person you could not find, and it gave me an ideal to strive towards.

All the guitar player's you mentioned have the musician's heart. Anyone that says otherwise really isn't about the music that they play or that matter, are lying to themselves. They don't have the real heart that a musician, much less a guitar player and music creator or song writer should have. I love playing and sharing the music I play for other people besides myself. I have a heart for people and their taste for music as a whole. Love playing in that environment. Thanks for sharing.

It has such a great vibe to it and looks like it's so much fun to play. Can you please make a transcription available for purchase? I would really love to learn how to play it and unfortunately with my schedule I do not have time to attempt to learn it by ear. A transcription of this magical piece would be amazing! I met Brent at 3rd & Lindsey a few years back and it was bucket list item for me meeting him along with Lonnie Wilson, and me also being a drummer, was a pretty cool night! Love your stuff too Andy btw!
Well I met you after a set at City Winery, and I have to say you were very nice. And you've become one of my heroes. Love your playing, your content, and your attitude towards the playing community in general. On the other hand, I used to worship Chris Thile. I have seen him in very small venues even. And he seemed like a super cool guy. But my son had met him at Floydfest and said he was a real dick. My son is a kind, considerate person, not some badger, paparazzi type person. If he tells me someone is a duck, I believe him. Too bad, I think Thile is one of the best musicians on the planet.
@@andywoodmusic yeah, I don’t understand the “Algorithm”. Sometimes I get suggestions to watch things that I have zero interest on, and the stuff that is really interesting does not get promoted at all. Your channel definitely deserves more promotion.
Andy, I remember you learning that Avenged Sevenfold solo a few months ago... and I hear you throwing in some gypsy jazz here, so that reminded me to tell you to check out the guitar solo at the end of Avenged Sevenfolds new song "Nobody" if you get the chance. Their guitarist is heavily influenced too, and the solo completely rips. I thought you might enjoy it.
