Oh, dear, sweet Amber. I'm a 67yo man. I got a little misty when your waterworks started. I had an actual tear during your monologue. I cried because you described my Mom. I cried because I was a single father of 4 and my kids did not have a 'mom' like that. And a little because I tried to be a 'dad' like that.

She was the biggest thing in country music for a few years when she had her TV show with her sisters.
Reba is a class act.
I've worked/met she and her brother. All I can say is off stage they were both very different individuals; privately, getting ready for her set they were condescending, demanding and entitled.
You can't go wrong with Ms. Reba! I'd suggest "You Lie", "How Blue" , "And Still", "Somebody" or "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" as a few of her next solo songs. Her duets are fantastic too, like "The Heart Won't Lie" with Vince Gill or "If You See Him, If You See Her" with Brooks and Dunn. If you're interested in another classic 90's country band/artist to check out, I'd strongly recommend Brooks and Dunn!
Another great Reba song is "Is There Life Out There?". I am not going to give anything away, but definitely worth a listen.

I love old sayings because they are the condensed wisdom of the ages. :) Old sayings like: "Remember - you aren't raising kids. You're raising adults. Or one of my most favorite old sayings: ""The best things in life aren't things." This song brought tears to my eyes too. Ms Reba is surely something special and this song is just the best.

I have made that suggestion before. Great rendition. But recently I've noticed that they find a singer they like and stick to them instead of discovering other great musicians. Ultimately, their decision!

I came out to Los Angeles in 1979 and becoming a country music fan had never once crossed my mind. I heard Reba McIntire sing "You Lift Me Up To Heaven" in 1980 or 1981 and followed her career right up until now, as a "mothering and mentoring" coach on The Voice these past two seasons. I have been a fan of country music since then, especially the older country. Please share this video with your fans and you got them!!

I've seen Reba multiple times including with Brooks and Dunn and also her Diary of a Singer tour where she talked about losing her band in a plane crash. Her duet Does He Love You with Linda Davis is great. Also The Heart Won't Lie with Vince Gill and Because of You with Kelly Clarkson.

LOL I also love Reba's cover of Beyonce's 'If I were a boy'. Ya gotta see the video so you can see the dress she has on Amber. LOL As for Rob not knowing much about Carrie Underwood, you guys need to check out her singing 'How great thou art'. It will show you exactly how good her voice it. OMG it is amazing & Vince Gill accompanies her. He is a star in his own right, but here, he sings back up & plays amazing guitar in it. His solo sounds like he is making it sing. Frigging awesome.

This song has different meaning for me now that our two oldest boys are getting older. They're going on to 12 and 13. They're preteens. They're getting more defiant and starting to test boundaries. We've dealt with stubborn attitudes and a little trouble at school. Grades slipped for a bit...Then on the flip side, my middle son just got approved to be in advanced science class next school year. Oldest has the biggest heart of any kid I know. Our little one (5) is always wanting a hug, and tells me every day "mama I love you so much. Your the best mama in the world." Mind you the oldest and youngest are not mine biologically, they're my stepsons. Youngest I've been in his life since he was 3 months old so I've been there practically raised him. We also just got full custody of him back in March.
My hardest thing is letting them learn on their own. I think that's one of the toughest parts of being a parent. You don't want to see your babies hurt or disappointed but it's a part of life. Sometimes through those storms you become stronger
