It's been 3 yrs since my brother took my nephew away to live with him and the boys mom. They "built" their family. I can't visit my nephew as much as I want because he live in another state,but I love him dearly. And he tells me every time that he misses us alot. But there's nothing I can do, he is now living with his biological parents and I could just pray for him that he'll be a good man someday.

I had my first daughter at 19, my parents were in Australia and I was in another country, I was so scared just coming out of high school and my daughter was born a day before my birthday. My parents heard from a family friend who had seen me when pregnant and told my parents. My parents didn’t react, they just hop on the plane and went straight to see me at the hospital. I count believe it, I was shocked they made it there to see my daughter and me. My daughters father bailed and I raised her, 17 years later, she is graduating high school this year and i have just graduated my Nursing degree. So yeah I know how scary it can be when you have no one there for that kind of support. I am now happily married for nine years now, a great husband he is and we have twins together. I was told at an early age I'd find it hard to conceive naturally so falling pregnant at 18, was a massive shock. I had my Son when I was 19, I never thought I'd love someone so much I'd die for them until I held him in my arms the first time. My baby boy is almost 8 now.

I love Reba & her songs really touch people inside of them, their hearts & minds. This video should be shown in High School so that the teenagers know there will be some tough choices to make as they go through life. They'll have to make to right from wrong, there be some consequences of their actions. Sometimes will turn out fine. Plus even having a baby too soon, plus being afraid of being a parent & having the responsibility. Always remember that they will always know if they need help they can always reach out to their family for their help, support & their love.
Unfortunately, not all families believe they need to be there for their children through mistakes, and shun/outcast them for things done outside what the family thinks should be "the way things should go." When I chose to leave my abusive husband of 10 years to protect my daughters, my family actually sided with him because of his position in the community and the fact my mother couldn't deal with the stigma she herself placed on her daughter divorcing such an "important" man regardless of what he did to hurt me or my girls. Because of this, he got custody and I've been treated by the courts the same way they'd treat a drug addict/deadbeat mom, being granted only supervised visitations even though the only thing I did "wrong" was take my daughters to a friend's house with me because I knew my parents wouldn't keep me safe from my then-husband if I ran to them - they'd try to force us back together instead of supporting my decision and listening to my side of the story. I rarely drink (if a glass of wine once every few months counts as "drinking"), have never done any illegal drugs, and am allergic to cigarette smoke so never experimented in that way either, am the music director for our church, teach private piano and voice lessons... In short, I'm not a "bad mom" in any way - but because of the NON-support from my family, my AND my daughters' lives have suffered and will continue to suffer until time changes the courts' opinion of me. If anything, this video should be shown to teenagers WITH their parents so the parents may come to realize a little bit of the responsibility THEY have, and the influence they can have to help or HURT their children through their actions...
yes I know, having a baby & rising one is great but just there's a lot of young kids still to be awareness of having safe sex and the responsible of having a baby & see if they're ready to be parents and rising a life. I've have friends from H.S. that had babies early & some had problems rising a baby some didn't have the dad stick around to help or working, saving money and all. They did get help from their families, friends and support they needed of rising a baby.

When I first found this video I cried so hard because the video was me. The man I was with decided after I be came pregnant he wanted nothing to do with me or our child. I was 19 when I had my little boy. His father was abusive the whole time. Told me to abort him. We broke up and I moved in with my mom. She kicked me out and kept my son from me for over a year. I finally got him back and now every night, I sing this to him.

What I learned through my own experience and still continute to learn everyday, is just because you have a child with someone does NOT mean you two are meant to be together, nor have to be together. Being a mother, especially a single mother makes you so incredibly strong. Makes you grow up extremely quick . You find you have a strength in you , that you never knew existed. Though being a single young mother is the hardest thing you may ever go through, it's also the most rewarding.

when my little sister told me at the age of 18 she was pregnant, I was so worried about her, we live in different parts of England and rarely see one another. It's been 3 yrs since my brother took my nephew away to live with him and the boys mom. They "built" their family. I can't visit my nephew as much as I want because he live in another state,but I love him dearly. And he tells me every time that he misses us alot. But there's nothing I can do, he is now living with his biological parents and I could just pray for him that he'll be a good man someday.

I had my first daughter at 19, my parents were in Australia and I was in another country, I was so scared just coming out of high school and my daughter was born a day before my birthday. My parents heard from a family friend who had seen me when pregnant and told my parents. My parents didn’t react, they just hop on the plane and went straight to see me at the hospital. I count believe it, I was shocked they made it there to see my daughter and me. My daughters father bailed and I raised her, 17 years later, she is graduating high school this year and i have just graduated my Nursing degree. So yeah I know how scary it can be when you have no one there for that kind of support.

Plus even having a baby too soon, plus being afraid of being a parent & having the responsibility. Always remember that they will always know if they need help they can always reach out to their family for their help, support & their love.

Unfortunately, not all families believe they need to be there for their children through mistakes, and shun/outcast them for things done outside what the family thinks should be "the way things should go." When I chose to leave my abusive husband of 10 years to protect my daughters, my family actually sided with him because of his position in the community and the fact my mother couldn't deal with the stigma she herself placed on her daughter divorcing such an "important" man regardless of what he did to hurt me or my girls. Because of this, he got custody and I've been treated by the courts the same way they'd treat a drug addict/deadbeat mom, being granted only supervised visitations even though the only thing I did "wrong" was take my daughters to a friend's house with me because I knew my parents wouldn't keep me safe from my then-husband if I ran to them - they'd try to force us back together instead of supporting my decision and listening to my side of the story. I rarely drink (if a glass of wine once every few months counts as "drinking"), have never done any illegal drugs, and am allergic to cigarette smoke so never experimented in that way either, am the music director for our church, teach private piano and voice lessons... In short, I'm not a "bad mom" in any way - but because of the NON-support from my family, my AND my daughters' lives have suffered and will continue to suffer until time changes the courts' opinion of me. If anything, this video should be shown to teenagers WITH their parents so the parents may come to realize a little bit of the responsibility THEY have, and the influence they can have to help or HURT their children through their actions...

yes I know, having a baby & rising one is great but just there's a lot of young kids still to be awareness of having safe sex and the responsible of having a baby & see if they're ready to be parents and rising a life.
I've have friends from H.S. that had babies early & some had problems rising a baby some didn't have the dad stick around to help or working, saving money and all.
They did get help from their families, friends and support they needed of rising a baby.

When I first found this video I cried so hard because the video was me. The man I was with decided after I be came pregnant he wanted nothing to do with me or our child. With the odds against me I decided I would keep my child. She's almost two now and it was the best choice of my life.

What I learned through my own experience and still continute to learn everyday, is just because you have a child with someone does NOT mean you two are meant to be together, nor have to be together. Being a mother, especially a single mother makes you so incredibly strong. Makes you grow up extremely quick . You find you have a strength in you , that you never knew existed. Though being a single young mother is the hardest thing you may ever go through, it's also the most rewarding.

when my little sister told me at the age of 18 she was pregnant, I was so worried about her, we live in different parts of England and rarely see one another.
