Hello! I've encountered a delay in the date that today() returns. I think it has something to do with the timezone but I don't know how to correct it. For example, I use it today. I live in PH so it must return Oct 21. But it returns Oct 20. How do you I troubleshoot this?
Any thoughts how to change a portion of a cell with TODAY's date? For example, I have the top 10 rows and 50 columns all merged and centered so that I can display the project name with the today's date. In the formula bar, I can see the Project name and Date when I click on this big cell, but would like for the date part of the text to update automatically!
Is there any way for me to format the way the date is shown other than the options given in the format cells dialog? All of them show either day, date, month, year in either short or long format, but ALL I want is for it to show the date. As an Australian, the day I write this is June 11, 2022. All I want the result of the TODAY function to show is 11/06 (we put the day of the month first here) Is that possible? Google is not being terrible fruitful for me on this.... thanks if you can help. :)
In Excel, you can format the dates to be d/m/y. I did that in cell B2. Also, you should have some regional setting for Australia. Also in the screenshot. All of this to say that is should work in Excel regardless of how you are typing the date. M/D/Y or D/M/Y should both work in Excel. I hope this helps.
