I used to work at a police station as a car detailer. Many times I had to drive their cars back to their houses after I was done detailing them....I can relate to your pure enjoyment starting at the 9:40 mark!😁
I have 2012 black dodge charger v6 awd and people always move over when i'm behind them on the highway. I don't have anything police related on the vehicle.
Judging by the amount of lights and equipment it has on it, I am assuming that it was a demo car for a company that installs police equipment. The thing on the spotlight is a thermal camera “FLIR” and I don’t believe the car itself is actual a police package.
That was purely a demo car bought and used by an upfitting company.. Departments order their fleet vehicles with the police package, which has a column shifter, heavy duty seats, pursuit rims and tires amongst a few other things. They don't order chrome rims, colored leather interior with heated seats, heated and cooled cup holders, console shift, etc. Police vehicles 99% of the time are pretty bare bones vehicles, with few options because they're cheaper to order, as well as maintain..
Definitely a demo for a police car dealer or equipment company. Among other things mentioned , the shore power is a dead giveaway. At police conventions batteries must be physically disconnected. The shore power allows the lights & other equipment to be run. And yes, some of these cars are trucked or trailered to the shows.

You almost had me there when you found the pew pew, until you took your shirt off and i saw the IWB holster at 4 oclock 🤣. Love the videos Mike!! Congratulations and continued success!
I’m going to guess what you have is a demo rig from an equipment supplier. The absence of a push bar is a clue and then there’s the upgraded interior. Definitely a oddball.
@@jeremyb_86 Why would you think a police demo car would be trailered? It has wheels on it and runs and drives. Why would you trailer an item that is meant to be driven?
It's a demo car for the equipment. That's why it has the shore power hook-up. This car was parked at shows to show law enforcement agencies their install work. This is a previous gen Charger, so they probably got a new demo car (Ford Explorer Police Interceptor) and sold off the old one. @5:56... Just put it back in your holster. Oh, and "clip"... The relief when they realized we were one of them? Priceless.
I’m with everyone else it’s a demonstrator. The only other thing it could be with low mileage is a school police department with a small campus or city emergency management vehicle. The emergency management vehicles spend more time parked in a garage then they do on the road.
If this was a public sector police vehicle whomever ordered it had a tremendous authority to waste taxpayer money. Chrome wheels? Red leather interior? Hopefully, it was part of a private sector unit, or display vehicle for some outfitter.
I bought/sold police vehicles for 25 years. Thats a very strange car you have. My guess is some civilian bought It new and decked it out with all the police stuff on it.
With a civilian VIN, no pushbar, no back cage, and light-duty wheels, that wasn’t a standard police car. I’m guessing a distributor’s sample display unit, maybe a security vehicle for someplace like Texas Soeedway, or maybe some kind of parade/special event unit from some department. The serial number of the Glock should explain everything.
Hahaha, had us going until you showed that IWB Holster after ripping your shirt off to show off those other "concealed weapons" under the the sleeves... hahaha, good one!
One of two things here... One, it is a demo car for an upfitter possibly. Two, it was a cruiser belonging to a high ranking admin person that did not use it for much of anything other than driving back and forth to work. Third possibility is it was assigned to a location like a school and wasn't driven much.
The steel company that I worked for back in the 70s had a couple of cars that looked just like the unmarked NC highway patrol cars. The first time me and a coworker were heading to a project I was coming down a ramp to get on interstate and all the cars in front of me started hitting their brakes. It took us a minute to figure out what was going on but then the fun started. Have fun until you sell it.....
It would appear to be a demo car for a lighting company or museum/display unit. Low miles shore power and r/t Consumer interior make sense for these uses. Shore power line is weird for police use. How many times would it be torn off in an emergency response?!!
Batteries must be physically disconnected at police conventions ( inside the convention center). Shore power allows the lights & equipment to be run & displayed.
@@SteveSmith-cl2es I never thought about a department putting shore power on a unit to do a static display at convention specifically but that’d still fall under museum/display I mentioned.

*IF* this were an official vehicle (though I think everyone saying it's a demo car are probably right), I would imagine it just got replaced. Our local PD had nearly-new vehicles replaced because the department switched to Ford SUVs.

My guess was a police impersonator. Because you can tell because the seats are not the seats the police use. Plus the light controller is never on the visor it's always in the center console.

I may have an explanation. Law enforcement agencies are allowed to keep (I think it comes back to them when the prosecutors or feds get done with the case) monies confiscated in drug busts. So if the catch a car on the highway say with drugs and loads of cash, the money comes back to them. In my local community the cops bought Corvettes for going to the schools to teach the DARE program (anti drug lectures to kids) and the Corvettes got the kids' attention. How come you're wearing an empty inside the waistband holster ? ;-)
When I saw the banana, all I can think of is “Yo, man! I ain’t faillin’ for no banana in the tailpipe!”
I had a strange neighbor that bought a new hemi charger and up fit it just like a cop car, he even had a dog. His was dark gray and thank goodness he moved to Alabama but your car looks like something he would have.
Mike finds his own gun. Pretends to find missing gun. Although last time Mike showed a gun, it was his own Glock in the glove Compartment.
He had on a empty holster too
Agree with the other posts, this definitely is some sort of promotional vehicle. Never saw a police package with chrome rims, leather seats, etc.
I would keep the car just to see people move over . Too funny .🤣
Did you try to Push the horn the sirens come on that way too?
It was the Uvalde , TX police chiefs car. He doesn’t need it anymore he went back to a mountain bike 🚵♀️ .
Should put police academy on it.. do some videos with a tackle-berry and Mahoney..
Mike could absolutely dress up and look like TackleBerry! Hahahhaa
Awesome buy 👍🏼👍🏼. While you were doing your walk around it look to me (1:44 seconds) that the gap along the quarter panel and rear passenger side bumper above the red side marker was different then the driver side.
This likely wasn't used by a police department but an up fitter company which would explain the options and the milage
You had waaay too much fun! That was hilarious!
What u didn’t promote a beer ad while driving a cop car 😂🤣 that would been good stuff or a truly 😂 good videos
You probably got the chiefs car since it didn’t have a cage in the back and somewhere there is a chief missing his “throw-away” gun.
This is a FULLY LOADED 2011 R/T, WITH 500 MILES? POLICE CAR???? Man I wish I had some extra money.
I would love heated cup holders No exactly for donuts lol. I don't know who would put donuts in a cup holder 🤣 but I could enjoy quite a few hot liquids
