sorta nintendos fault for having such an outdated way to ban people. It bans the hardware ID which is something that's transferred during a system transfer.
There is, but it requires an unbanned system with Custom FW. Atleast that was an option many people used when Nintendo put similar bans on people who installed Custom FW to their 3DS systems

Did you know? In March 2014, Junichi Masuda was asked in a interview about the future of Pokemon. He said that flowers would play an important part of the series, and around the same time, it was leaked that the next games would be set on a number of islands you would have to travel between. This was shortly after the hotly anticipated X and Y were released and before Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. This shows that they were considering what the future would be like for Pokemon even then, and since the Strange Souvenir is found in X and Y, they had thought about generation 7 long before 2014. The 3DS era of Pokemon seems to have been a huge gamble for the Pokemon Company and Game Freak and they likely thought about "It all comes together" when planning X and Y onwards.
StarWandHeart It's no strange, as Masuda himself said that each generation takes 5 years to be made from the ideas, world-building and more. You can clearly see that when Sinnoh was referenced in Gold and Silver back in 2000, while the generation that features the continent only was released in 2006.
Matheus Viana It's how they make a great game series that feels like it all fits together. They really take the time to think about new ideas and see what works, scrap ideas, change things around, until we get the games as they are. The games evolve. That's why I love the series. At it's core, it's the same game, but there's new things to find each time, even with remakes.
@@pooterdog2549 DEFINITELY NOT, have you seen the DP remakes or literally Sword and Shield. Sun and Moon at least tried to start fresh and add some new stuff. It was completely different.
Fitting, considering this is by far the Gen that dives the deepest into neat biological references! We got a yeti crab, a bee fly, a mata mata turtle, a reverse orchid mantis AND a reverse diving bell spider, a crown-of-thorns sea star, a myxozoan, and a lot more! MAN, I love this roster so much!
The Alolan region is probably my favorite region so far, with Unova and Johto behind that. Interesting, charming, and funny story and characters, quality-over-quantity style of Pokemon that changed the competitive scene big time since Gen V, tons of diverse locations, great post-game for a first installment of a generation (definitely way better than some Battle Maison in X and Y), challenging and smarter, not difficult, AI that actually forced me to use type-advantages whereas in most Pokemon games you can easily steamroll through any gym with any type, and getting a lot of Colosseum and XD nostalgia from the story. Anyone who played Colosseum and XD, does Team Skull, the Aether Foundation, and Ultra Beasts remind you of Team Snagem, Cipher, and Shadow Pokemon?
A title like that would only be suited for an increased difficulty hack or a stand alone ROM hack of the game just like Blaze Black and Volt White or Chaos Black
Looking at these comments has me feeling rather surprised. When did it become the opinion that Sun and Moon were bad? To be frank, my track record with finishing past pokemon games has been pretty bad. I didn't even get to the third gym in X and I only got to about the half way point in Alpha Sapphire and I had only completed diamond and platinum. However, I was so captivated by Moon that I completed it all the way through and then some for many reasons. -No more HMs is such a nice upgrade and makes everything more seamless -The writing is just great. This is truthfully the only pokemon game where I burst out laughing at certain dialogue. -Many areas just gush atmosphere. Po town in particular had me feeling so pumped to get to the heart of that depressingly run down mansion to flatten team Skull. -I also really enjoy Poke Pelago and all the benefits that come with them. -There are many more reasons, but I think you get the idea. While I can agree that some parts of the game feel rather slim for content (looking at you Aether basement) it doesn't take long at all before you're whisked away to some place new to explore. Others may think otherwise, but I can easily say that I would put gen 7 right beside gen 4 as my favourite gen, perhaps even a little higher.
While I like the game, there's a lot of problems. The region feels overly linear, the unskippable cut scenes ruin replay ability, the Post Game sucks, some parts of the game feel unfinished, and Ultra Sun/Moon is just Sun and Moon, but with a slightly different climax and a bit more content (and yes, I have the same problem with Platinum and Emerald). Not to mention there are just so many missed opportunities, like the Ultra beast invasion happening off screen, or not getting to fight Mother Beast Lusamine. The game's good, just heavily flawed.
I bet those running animations that went unused in Sun/Moon will be used for Pokemon Switch. It would be better than having to make them from scratch. That IGN reference is hilarious.
Yeah I think someone from Game Freak said that they wanted to make Pokemon Sun and Moon for the Switch but they decided to put it into the 3DS, making those running animations unused.
Reminds me back when the 4chan leaks first happened and these doofus's decided to battle each other online 😂 caused a massive ban wave when all they had to do was stay offline until release day lol
Tytgh I do, and unlike stupid people they can't help themselves. Also, most people are aware of they're different. How often do you see a self-aware idiot?
0:46 Alolan exeggutor was first discovered in alola around 1471, the kanto form wasn't discovered until 1738 2:28 Well the Hawaiians were the first people to land in alola and also created pokemon so 3:44 Well alola was once called aloua when it was chosen in 1412 but pokeuu IV changed it to the Alolan kingdom in 1493 4:03 Alolan vulpix was actually the first canto pokemon discovered, it was first discovered around 1466
Theory: hau'oli city is based off of Honolulu. Know for it's many tourist. Hau'oli is pronounced similarly to the Hawaiian slang word "haole" meaning foreigner.
I put no weight into the Cubone/Kangaskahn theory. Remember: when the much-vaunted "Ditto are failed Mew clones" theory was presented to Masuda, all he said was, "Wow, what are *you* smoking?" My guess is, Kangaskahn appear because they're naturally maternal, and they take pity on the lonely Cubone.
it was a easter egg no one said its confirming the theory. masuda likes the theory and wants to nod to it. the theory is too dark to confirm and add in.
I def loved Sun/Moon.🙌🏽Definitely one of my favorite games in the series, and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon makes it even better in the same way Platinum did for Diamond/Pearl. Though as you say in the video, the most interesting factoid about Sun/Moon is that while the dev team is exactly the same, the game had a different director, Shigeru Ohmori. The director of every mainline game since Ruby/Sapphire, Junichi Masuda, stepped back as the director in order to inject new life into the franchise, and instead served as the producer of the game. While it was Ohmori's first time working on a manline Pokémon game, he previously directed Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. Masuda's also the composer for the Pokémon games as well, being the creator of that sweet, sweet music.👌🏽 And sadly, we watch as history repeats itself as Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon was pirated and leaked online as well...
Coca is the name of the dragon from a Saint George's legend where he saved a princess from being eaten by coca. That's why there is a knight on the video. He's representing Saint George. And it's from Portuguese/galician Folclore.
The hype train for sun and moon was different, I remember it fondly. Even when new games are announced now it feels smaller. When sun and moon was announced it felt like everyone was hyped - every trailer was awesome, regional forms, multiple islands, trials and the fact it was the final handheld. It's gotten some flak recently but i still love sun and moon; as a huge fan of the handheld era, sun and moon really struck the balance between homage and it's own thing. Great video! Edit: The anime was going off at the time as well. When ash greninja was shown in the demo - it felt like the pokemon company had successfully linked the games' and anime's fan bases equally
Sun and moon were a okay addition in my opinion better than omega and alpha actually, but to be honest I believe X and Y were golden! Considering those were the first 3D Pokémon games that blew everybody's minds when they were first released!
XY and ORAS has those stupid circles beneath the pokemon that has been from generation 3. Sun and Moon removed them and it’s visually way better, felt like an almost portable stadium game.
You guys do great work here! You always make me wanna go replay all my games, haha, and give me a new appreciation for each one. Thanks, and thanks again!
Eduardo Orellana You're absolutely right. It was even fake advertising with them saying the game would be different, twice as long, and even tying to trick fans by putting huge clouds on the bottom left of the map in an attempt to make it look like there was something in there.
I think USUM is the first pokemon game that i haven't bought on launch in years. Burned out on a lot of Pokemon playing makes it hard for me to play them without long pauses between. And i just got back my copy of HeartGold that i lost almost 7 years ago, as well has getting my friends Explorer of Darkness. So i'll hope the Pokemon games take a break for 2018 , so that i can build up myself wanting to play more Pokemon.
MrRoMaGi i just havent bought it yet because life and school work. Besides its worth waiting a few days to see if theres any major problems with the games.
I can say it. There were only three designers: 2 of them were new, one of them worked with Sonic Lost World. they had to use one or two years in building Hedgehog Engine 2, and rest of the years for the level designs.
Another popular explanation as to why Alolan Exeggutor has the Dragon typing is it being based on palm trees that grow dragon fruits, as its heads are where dragon fruits hang on real palm trees that grow them. Source: I'm from Florida and every now and then I'll see palm trees that grow dragon fruit on them.
Zorua Hunter I know for sure that that last "fact" was a rumor. You could not system transfer without Internet connection which a banned console could not use. The only actual way to unban yourself is to restore a backed up sysNAND or to do a factory reset. Even if you were able to transfer your data, the pirated copy would still be on the banned 3DS.
I mean Ikue is in everything...like I know her for voicing a murderous girl that haunts a school, a reindeer doctor, a demon child in a tournament fighting other demon children, the grandson of the third hokage, a dog girl that becomes president of a hunter association etc.
Hmm.. may I recommend Doki Doki Literature Club to you? It's a free visual novel type game on Steam. I think you may like it. Even if you're not really into visual novels, there's something about this one that stands out from the crowd. Maybe it's that warning you get when you start up the game..
(Warning: Long comment) To be honest, the more I think about it, the more it feels like Sun and Moon was sort of a downgrade from XY, at least in terms of gameplay mechanics. Triple Battles are gone, no National Pokédex, HMs are reduced to ride Pokémon, fishing is reduced to certain spots, Mega Evolution is now reduced to Z-moves and Alolan forms, you now have to manually press the A button every time you want to open a door instead of simply walking inside automatically, Gyms are now the much easier Island Challenges (basically just glorified routes), your main rival chooses the starter with the type-disadvantage, and your clothing options have less variety...just to name a few. Seriously, I feel like the games were designed for the Pokemon GO crowd. With this in mind, I don't plan on getting Ultra Sun or Moon unless it's out of desperation. Thank you for reading this terribly long rant comment.
No HMS = Automatically best games in the franchise. i dont give a shit what anyone says. i can finally have a decent team in these games with proper movesets. if i had cut and strength i would never beat Ultra Necrozma.
Wait, a head that falls off an exeggutor becomes an exeggcute? An exeggcute is several eggs. Does the exeggutor just have its head split open and that's what's rattling around inside?
Alright, you messed up on one thing. Nintendo didn't ban just pirates, because they had no way of telling who was playing a pirated copy or a store-bought copy from a store that broke street date. Needless to say, people with legit copies got banned too, simply because Nintendo only saw they accessed online before street date. And the only people Nintendo can blame is themselves, because the system can't tell the difference between a pirated game and a legit game, and neither can the servers because they have no idea how to work online features properly. Hell, the ban didn't fuck anyone over other than legit customers, just like the ban wave they did on the Wii that "targeted pirates".
Ive been playing pokemon since red and blue, and Moon is my favorite out of all. Mainly because the normal trainer battle theme wasn't nauseating after 10 hours to me, unlike all other pokemon games.
Did you know? You never see Gladions father, except you totally do. What most theorists ignore, is the first character you meet is the sexiest prof in the series. Therefore the most sexually active. He is actually the dad of gladion, lillie, mallow, ash, and mr mime
Sun and Moon was very well received at launch. Did something happen that changed peoples minds? Or what's the reason people are bashing it? I see that people are understandibly frustrated over the long tutorial, but that can't be the only reason.
TBH, I tried to convince me these were THE Pokémon games for 3DS from the beginning, but the most I advanced through, the most I saw those flaws. The tutorial might be one of the reasons, but for me, the way many things were made weren't enjoyable: Festival Plaza, Poké Pelago (Don't remember if that's the name, I deleted the game long ago...), story (Specifically Lillie. Boy, what a way to disguise a chainball as a "character"...), both rivals and enemy teams, the region itself, friggin' Rotomdex... And this, buddy, isn't for the sake of hating. Sure thing I might have X on better terms, but this defines (for me) that Pokémon is better to avoid it on 3DS. ...AAAAND, before ending, I kinda foretold for myself both Ultras would suck as "enhanced versions" (guess the same story but told worse and the *insert totally hyping city name* which was nothing but a corridor with some stairs define "enhanced"... Sure, it exists Team RR, but really, fanservice as a main promotion material instead of something you must discover for yourself and feel great about it?). Again, not being hater, just what I, sadly, felt it happened... And sure, my favorite game is Gold, but I consider BW as shining gems from a long gone golden era... It's not about change, it's about what it happened to gaze on all the flaws...
Another detail about the Pokémon GO connection is Bank has an icon for GO, like XY have the Pentagon, and SM have the Clover icons to signify where they're from (also VC games has a Gameboy Icon)
Good for you. I hope you enjoy the game. I’m going to have to wait a few months to get it. I do know that using mystery gift in USUM, you can get a Rockruff that evolves into dusk form Lycanrock.
If you really want to feel weird, go back to Gen VI. Those chibi character models out of battle are definitely strange to look at now compared to Gen VII.
You know what I find hilarious? The fact that slightly before Alolan forms were introduced, there was a big art meme of pokemon fanartists drawing 'variations' of pokemon.
Quick critique on your video, I enjoyed it, but I just have some feedback. Some of your pieces of information ran into each other and it was hard to tell when you were done talking about one point and moving onto another. Perhaps a number system, some sort of transition or something to separate your pieces would be beneficial. Otherwise a great video, thanks for all you put in!
from what I was told, the legendaries have shinies because of hackers. it's to prevent a game-breaking glitch when a hacker tries to hack a shiny legendary into their game, which would happen if there was no data for it. or at least that's what I heard. I don't know enough about coding to say for sure.
More because of consistency. Or planning ahead. Normal Magearna is the only Pokémon without a different color scheme for its Shiny. Every other Pokémon have a different one, and MANY of them, while unobtainable before, have been distributed through events, for example. Or even through in-game means. Gen 5 box legendaries were Shiny Locked, however, they aren't starting with ORAS. The same thing happens to Ultra Beasts. Previously locked in SM, they are available as Shinies in USUM. So, if they really didn't care, I doubt they would make every shiny different. As to why they shiny lock legendaries? I don't know. (this is just an opinion based on my own experience and minor knowledge.)
Also, Legendaries have obtainable Shinies since Gen 2. In fact, you could obtain every Shiny Legendary before Gen 5 LEGITIMATELY, as Gen 4 and before had no Shiny Lock. Even capturable Mythical Pokémon are able to be Shiny, like the Aurora Ticket Mew on Gen 3.
They're shiny-locking legendaries that you can see in the overworld. I think it's for aesthetic/atmospheric reasons, because it wouldn't make sense to have a Pokémon appear in its normal coloration in the overworld, only to then be a shiny in battle. The same holds true for Pokémon who appear in cutscenes. And, at the same time, making the overworld sprite/model shiny wouldn't work, because 1. That would spoil the surprise of it being shiny. You could save and reset for nature and IVs, while the Pokémon is guaranteed to be shiny due to being so in the overworld. 2. A Pokémon's Nature, IVs, shininess etc. are only generated after starting a battle wit it, i.e. leaving the overworld.
replying to you specifically because you made a point I want to address, but to everyone, I'm aware of shiny events, but afaik, they locked shinies before any were given out for events (I don't know what legendary was the first to be given out for an event, but from my memory it feels like a far more recent thing than locking them has been). I don't think there's really a correlation there imo. like, to me it feels more like Nintendo deciding that since they made them, they might as well use them, and EVERYONE loves shinies (to the point that /we were the ones that named them/ and it was such a big thing in the community that it became official) so I feel like the events using shinies was because they existed, not the other way around. and to Gnarfledarf's overworld point, I would have agreed, but the starters show up in the overworld (at least for SM/USUM) yet they aren't shiny locked, so you do still have that moment of seeing it normally in the overworld and then having it suddenly shiny in your inventory/battle. now, you could say that the legendary events are more important than the starter events, as the legendaries (at least now) are a part of the climax of the story, but Nintendo REALLY cares about the start of the journey and puts a lot of emphasis on the starting pokemon, that it's your chosen partner, your main buddy. (for an example look no further than SM's 'the pokemon chooses you' thing, and how INCREDIBLY important the bond between Ash and Pikachu is, even though all his other pokemon have an emotional story and they all chose him too, none of them compare to his first, Pikachu) but let's be honest. we're all just guessing here so none of us are really more right than anyone else.
All these hidden abilities are now available. The console versions of RBY and GSC even unlocks all hidden abilities for the first two generations of Pokémon.
You guys should have done more research when it came to the ban wave. "Transferring bans" is impossible, and this trick only worked for a tiny handful of people that met incredibly specific conditions (IE, they had already performed a system transfer in the past prior to the ban wave). Absolutely nobody bought a console, transferred their ban, and then returned the console to the retailer they bought it from. The true way to get around Nintendo's ban is to inject an unbanned CTCert and DeviceID dumped from another console into the ITCM (ARM9 RAM) of a banned console. There is no public code that does this, but there's a few that have figured it out.
Alolan Exeggutor fills me with a dread that I cannot explain as a mere mortal. I think it might be what Lovecraft characters felt when they communed with Old Gods.
Even though Sword/Shield are good by all accounts other than whiny hate bandwagoners that are now pissy that their little bullshit boycott campaign becasue "WaaAAAhh MuuHhHH ffFFaabVVooRRiiteEE!!" didn't accomplish jackshit because they're nothing but an insignificant eco chamber of immaturity.
“Too much water, IGN? Fine. Our very next game will have even MORE water, AND we’ll make fun of you in it.”

So, people are questioning why Alolan Exeggutor is a dragon type, and not why the normal form is a psychic type?
victikirby15
It's psychic because the heads communicate telepathically with each other.
victikirby15 that's... Actually have very good question
I didnt know psychic pokemon had a certain physical appearance.
victikirby15
It's probably because it is inspired on a supernatural creature (Jinmenju).
Exeggutor is part-Psychic because trying to understand its biology will give you a massive headache. :P
"Masuda felt great difficulty when trying to break traditions that established the series"
YEAH, WE COULD TELL
Wow some people are such dirt bags! Imagine hacking and stealing a game, getting caught and passing the punishment on to an unsuspecting player.
I can't believe they did that :'(

but they are better
SM is actually a really pleasant game.
I always wondered what happened with those trucks. They were so hype in the announcement trailer but then they disappeared off the face of the planet.

Highly doubt that it was happening too often. You can unban your 3ds in around 10 minutes by simply downloading some files off the internet.
Sadly i got victimized by those. I bought a 3rd hand 3ds and those secondhand owners never knew that it was banned since they calim that they always do local play but not online play. Good thing they gave my money back.
pretty funny though
Bloody genius is what it was...
Still a dick move though.
I'm confused

Yet one year later and most of the top comments I see on this video are of people saying the game sucks. Did I miss something? What happened?

They really take the time to think about new ideas and see what works, scrap ideas, change things around, until we get the games as they are. The games evolve. That's why I love the series. At it's core, it's the same game, but there's new things to find each time, even with remakes.

Yes I'm sure. It was a real thread.
lmao this guy got everything about the banwave wrong
Wait, if a Spanish dragon was the origin of the word coconut... Does that mean coconuts are Dragonballs?
You win
You lose
But Dragon Balls are Chinese
Dragonballs are in DragonBall Z. Pokemon Sun and Moon have Z-moves! Pokemon Sun and Moon have Alolan Exeggcutor. What does this mean?!!
Yes!!
Sun and moon were great games, it evoked the same feelings I played when I first played Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
Easily the worst games in the series
@@pooterdog2549 DEFINITELY NOT, have you seen the DP remakes or literally Sword and Shield. Sun and Moon at least tried to start fresh and add some new stuff. It was completely different.

Fitting, considering this is by far the Gen that dives the deepest into neat biological references!

7:30 that Trumbeak is nicknamed Kazooie that’s honestly the best thing i have seen today
Pokemon Black Hole Sun is my favorite.

Sound Garden refrence?
First Name Last Name Yes.
Even Speedwagon likes Pokémon
A title like that would only be suited for an increased difficulty hack or a stand alone ROM hack of the game just like Blaze Black and Volt White or Chaos Black
Looking at these comments has me feeling rather surprised. When did it become the opinion that Sun and Moon were bad?
To be frank, my track record with finishing past pokemon games has been pretty bad. I didn't even get to the third gym in X and I only got to about the half way point in Alpha Sapphire and I had only completed diamond and platinum. However, I was so captivated by Moon that I completed it all the way through and then some for many reasons.
-No more HMs is such a nice upgrade and makes everything more seamless
-The writing is just great.
I think when the game released, the people who loved the game were the most vocal and the hype made a lot of people blind to the games' flaws.
who do care for in hgss
Or probably for 3d animation videos

Indeed, it was well informative!

7:49 Did you know? This also happened for Ultra Sun & Moon 10 days before they were released.
Mathew Ricafrente Well, 4chan's gotta do what 4chan's gotta do...
I put no weight into the Cubone/Kangaskahn theory. Remember: when the much-vaunted "Ditto are failed Mew clones" theory was presented to Masuda, all he said was, "Wow, what are *you* smoking?"
My guess is, Kangaskahn appear because they're naturally maternal, and they take pity on the lonely Cubone.
it was a easter egg no one said its confirming the theory. masuda likes the theory and wants to nod to it. the theory is too dark to confirm and add in.
Masuda's also the composer for the Pokémon games as well, being the creator of that sweet, sweet music.👌🏽
And sadly, we watch as history repeats itself as Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon was pirated and leaked online as well...
Coca is the name of the dragon from a Saint George's legend where he saved a princess from being eaten by coca. That's why there is a knight on the video. He's representing Saint George. And it's from Portuguese/galician Folclore.

@THIS PROJECT IS RETIRED that's rough buddy
The hype train for sun and moon was different, I remember it fondly. Even when new games are announced now it feels smaller. When sun and moon was announced it felt like everyone was hyped - every trailer was awesome, regional forms, multiple islands, trials and the fact it was the final handheld. It's gotten some flak recently but i still love sun and moon; as a huge fan of the handheld era, sun and moon really struck the balance between homage and it's own thing. Great video!
Edit:
The anime was going off at the time as well. When ash greninja was shown in the demo - it felt like the pokemon company had successfully linked the games' and anime's fan bases equally
3:43 Or Alola is a reference to 'aloha', the way to say hello and goodbye in Hawaii
Sun and moon were a okay addition in my opinion better than omega and alpha actually, but to be honest I believe X and Y were golden! Considering those were the first 3D Pokémon games that blew everybody's minds when they were first released!

super mudbug well I mean on handhelds. I've never played the console ones. In fact I didn't know there were some on consoles until 2011 actually.
XY and ORAS has those stupid circles beneath the pokemon that has been from generation 3. Sun and Moon removed them and it’s visually way better, felt like an almost portable stadium game.

You're absolutely right. It was even fake advertising with them saying the game would be different, twice as long, and even tying to trick fans by putting huge clouds on the bottom left of the map in an attempt to make it look like there was something in there.

Do a Did You Know Gaming on Sonic Forces. I’m curious on how the game development went through for 4 years
I can say it.
There were only three designers: 2 of them were new, one of them worked with Sonic Lost World. they had to use one or two years in building Hedgehog Engine 2, and rest of the years for the level designs.
A little early for that, might need to wait for some info. Though i'm just as curious as how the development went.

I like Backstory of Alolan Marowak with it mentioning that it hunts down Mandibuzz
Another popular explanation as to why Alolan Exeggutor has the Dragon typing is it being based on palm trees that grow dragon fruits, as its heads are where dragon fruits hang on real palm trees that grow them.

Oh little did you know...
I love sun and moon. Pure fun.
Alola = Aloha + Ola.
Hello Life
Isn't it kinda paradox if Nintendo's way to punish people with pirated copies is to prevent them from ever buying anything legally ever again?
Neither Nintendo nor the scriptwriter of this video seem to be very bright.
Ive been playing pokemon since red and blue, and Moon is my favorite out of all. Mainly because the normal trainer battle theme wasn't nauseating after 10 hours to me, unlike all other pokemon games.

Sun and Moon was very well received at launch.
Did something happen that changed peoples minds?
Or what's the reason people are bashing it? I see that people are understandibly frustrated over the long tutorial, but that can't be the only reason.
most people are just hating
Most of the Sun and Moon bashers are just salty genwunners who can't accept change.
I remember nothing of playing my Sun, other than me being impressed on Decidueye’s... spirit shackle... ultra move...
Sinister Arrow Raid
It's really cool.
the shiny locking is to prevent crashing if a shiny did happen to spawn. thats why they exist
it wasn't just pirated copies, ANYONE that played before the official release date, be it legit or pirated copies, got banned

The island name stuff was really neat.

Best video in a while, so much information!
After playing USUM, it feels weird going back.
Yeah it really does...
If you really want to feel weird, go back to Gen VI. Those chibi character models out of battle are definitely strange to look at now compared to Gen VII.
Feels even better than the first time. The mostly subtle changes are all beneficial.
yes, but there are still people that want to return to the old formula...lol
You know what I find hilarious? The fact that slightly before Alolan forms were introduced, there was a big art meme of pokemon fanartists drawing 'variations' of pokemon.
I've always wondered, are miltanks killed off camera for meat production in the pokemon world?
No. That practice was banned thanks to lobbying efforts by the booming Soylent Green industry, which didn't want the competition.
Yes and no, shiny legendaries have been given out as event Pokémon for a while now
They're shiny-locking legendaries that you can see in the overworld. I think it's for aesthetic/atmospheric reasons, because it wouldn't make sense to have a Pokémon appear in its normal coloration in the overworld, only to then be a shiny in battle. The same holds true for Pokémon who appear in cutscenes. And, at the same time, making the overworld sprite/model shiny wouldn't work, because
(for an example look no further than SM's 'the pokemon chooses you' thing, and how INCREDIBLY important the bond between Ash and Pikachu is, even though all his other pokemon have an emotional story and they all chose him too, none of them compare to his first, Pikachu)
but let's be honest. we're all just guessing here so none of us are really more right than anyone else.
The last *_decent_* Pokemon game.
*RIP*
Even though Sword/Shield are good by all accounts other than whiny hate bandwagoners that are now pissy that their little bullshit boycott campaign becasue "WaaAAAhh MuuHhHH ffFFaabVVooRRiiteEE!!" didn't accomplish jackshit because they're nothing but an insignificant eco chamber of immaturity.
