Howdy from Colorado! We had a Stinson 108-nothing, at our local fly in out here. It has been upgraded to 165hp. There’s a few up here! Wish there were more, but most have been upgraded to some form of a Super Stinson.
I do experiment with different approaches to problems. It was obvious after I took off that a notch would have been better at the same time I had no doubt that no flaps would get me out of there and was wondering if the hill would help enough that that I'd be short to 50' without flaps (the Stinson gains 200fpm with flaps up.) I answered my question.
Great fun!!
One of your best videos yet!
Thank you!

I really enjoy seeing these flights around Michigan. I first learned to fly at 6D6.
That has been a popular training airport for years.
Scott still like’n the videos ; any effect on engine operation by no spinner nose cone?
I see you took off with a notch this time! :) much better!

Isn't that the truth , can't remember the person's name but we know the plane, lol
In my phone everyone has a name and a plane. I think "That Scout guy: Type in "Scout" in the phone and see who comes up. Works every time.
