Obviously people who never seen LOTRs especially ones that have an attention span of a raisin that cant sit thru 3-4 hour movie or simply doesn’t like the action/adventure/thriller genre.
I have a friend who hates lotr. he has never seen it, he knows nothing about it, but lotr is popular and well liked by people so that's enough for him to hate it. People are different, and some of them are strange.
@ The years I’ve been alive I have learned there will always be positive & negative no matter how much we hate it b’c both cant apparently live without the other 🙄😒 and vice versa.
It’s great when you notice how much work went behind it. Even the Māori people blessed their arrival and they all past the intense ceremony before they could step past the threshold of the sacred land.
@KrljaviDzo - It was deltoro that ruined and created HOBBIT. PJ and crew were the ones who were called to the studio to rescue the flaming nosedive from deltoro that sent that film into. PJ wanted more time to just start over but he had to work with a lot of film that was already produced.
19:55 To even be able to swing his axe as that ring is a feat of willpower. Being able to show hostility to the ring at all is a show of willpower to be honest.
How did I know before even watching half of y’all with TikTok brain can’t appreciate amazing story and characters. This is the greatest trilogy of all time, and it’s not even close… there are NO weak points.
@@omnissiah7247 for real, all they talk about is “ why wasn’t it remastered, is this the best they could do” 🤣🤣 this film was filmed in 2002 I don’t know what they expected
@@Oakland510 Wait what? 😂😂😂😂 Oh lord I enjoyed their reaction to the first film. Please tell me you're joking. Ain't no way Rob is bigging up The Hobbit but disrespecting The Two Towers LMAO I can't.
@ I wish I was joking. You’ll find out when they release the RUclips cut next week , now we have return of the king next i can’t WAIT to see what clown ish Rob gonna say 🤣🤣
Idk about that, seen in the comments from someone who watched their full reaction of the two towers on their patreon and it sounds like they weren't too blown away by it. Every 5 minutes bringing up it having very 2000's graphics and why isn't it remastered for better graphics. Hopefully the person's comments were blown out of proportion.
Well shit, that kinda blows they would let graphics get in the way of how great these movies really are. One of, if not the best, trilogy of all time and hands down the best fantasy movies ever.
@ please listen to the discussion next week, Evan said “ it’s dope how the actor portrayed Gollum” Rob replied that wasn’t there in the original, Gollum was remastered “ 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve had enough
The fact that you watched The Hobbit trilogy before watching the Lord of the rings is absolutely incredible! Especially when they mention something that happens in the hobbit and you actually have some context on what happened.
In the books Frodo is about 50 years old this is funny because Elijah wood was only 18 when he took the role. Frodo is 33 in the movies. Sam is 38 keeping the same age. merry is 36 and pippen is 29. Aragon is 87 his is part of a race of men known as the Dúnedain who have royal blood who can live 3 times as long as normal men. He is also a descendant of Elros who was half elf
That's all true. What's interesting is when Frodo turned 33, he was "coming into age", which is the equivalent of turning 18 (or into an adult). Because Hobbits age much slower than regular men. Pippin was 26, which was the equivalent of a young teenager for Hobbits.
You can't really evaluate the fellowship or The Two Towers fully until you've seen Return of the King because they all three go together. Since you all saw The Hobbit first I was wondering if you noticed the dead dwarves in Morinla were Balin and some of the others from The Hobbit.
13:40 Correct me if Im wrong, folks: Aragorn is also a king of men, meaning he has equal jurisdiction over the powers of the world as these 9 wraiths. The hands of the King in the books did all sorts of cool stuff, specifically having to do with dispelling other king's curses. Not any old fire would work here, only kingsfire.
A lot of the people in the Shire think that Bilbo stories are nonsense but as you can see around the five minute mark is telling the story of the trolls that transformed into stone. His stories weren’t all hogwash.
All 17 rings were meant to go to elves (300-500years of infiltration & deception down the drain.) but Mairon of the Maiar(primordial angelic beings in simple terms as they are beyond angels) disguised as a high elf named Annatar when he came to the elves pretending to be an emissary from Valinor on behalf of the Valar so it makes sense how alluring the ring is and how strong it’s pull on people is. (A bit too instant in the movies though) - Galadriel soon saw right through him and especially when after speaking with him regarding not remembering him when in Valinor long ago where she learned from all the Valar thanks to being dominantly Vanyar/Teleri side over her Noldorin side where she gleaned from that encounter that she did not study under Aulë the Vala with any elf named Annatar ! But later named Sauron by the elves as a cursed name meaning “the abhorred” and deceiver! Similar to his former name as Gorthaur. (Correction - The Sindar Elves in Beleriand gave Mairon the name Gorthaur, meaning "dread abomination," while others called him Sauron, meaning "the abhorred" or "the abominable," a play on his original name. Gorthaur was when he ruled in the first age as lord of all werewolves in isle of werewolves called Taur Ín Gaurhoth) After all of this, The three elven rings were made in secret without Saurons touch upon them thanks to Celebrimbor! Remember Gandalf before he became Gandalf was the same species of entity Sauron used to be!! Wow hey? The Rings in this case, would have lost their powers eventually due to the lack of the One Ring and possibly because they were designed to defeat evil, & evil in the form of Sauron had been defeated twice already in the past. The Three Elven Rings served their purpose for a long time. Two out of three of them had several different bearers Unlike the other Rings, the main purpose of the Three is to "heal and preserve", as when Galadriel used Nenya to preserve her realm of Lothlórien over long periods. The Elves made the Three Rings to try to halt the passage of time, or as Tolkien had Elrond say, "to preserve all things unstained". There is problem here with the Rings, the Three were supposed to be never touched by Sauron and that's why they were not corrupting…Sauron had not taken part in their making which made the Three more 'pure' unsullied by his dark power, unlike the Nine and Seven Rings! But Sauron in the show touched the very material they were made of!!! So technically he could have tainted them and corrupted! Even appendices of Lot tell us the order of making the rings, so they didn't even need the righs to more detailed writings in UT or Silmarillion: 1200 Sauron endeavours to seduce the Eldar. Gil-galad refuses to treat with him; but the smiths of Eregion are won over. The Númenoreans begin to make permanent havens. c. 1500 The Elven-smiths instructed by Sauron reach the height of their skill. They begin the forging of the Rings of Power. c. 1590 The Three Rings are completed in Eregion. c. 1600 Sauron forges the One Ring in Orodruin. He completes the Barad-dûr. Celebrimbor perceives the designs of Sauron. 1693 War of the Elves & Sauron begins. The Three Rings are hidden." 'Did you not hear me, Gloin?' said Elrond. 'The Three were not made by Sauron, nor did he ever touch them. But of them it is not permitted to speak. So much only in this hour of doubt I may now say. They are not idle. But they were not made as weapons of war or conquest: that is not their power. Those who made them did not desire strength or domination or hoarded wealth, but understanding, making, and healing, to preserve all things unstained. These things the Elves of Middle-earth have in some measure gained, though with sorrow. But all that has been wrought by those who wield the Three will turn to their undoing, and their minds and hearts will become revealed to Sauron, if he regains the One." - The 3 Elven Rings are not susceptible to “The One Ring” in any direct way.. They’re only tied by fate to lose their power if Sauron is defeated completely & absolutely. As they were made by the elves and as always they make things for a purpose and pour their literal spirit into things they create. So if Sauron is defeated then the three rings power will fade and basically become almost useless or diminished versions of their original design since by this era magic has bled from the world by a huge degree thanks to Morgoth’s poisoning the world itself with his very essence that he poured into it. Called The Long Defeat By The Elves and The Men Of The West.
This is the greatest trilogy ever... undebatably the Absolute GOAT of filmmaking. Now for my favorite fun fact. In the final fight between aragorn and lurtz (orc general) when the knife was accidentally thrown right at aragorn, (the orc actor was directed to throw it slightly to the side) but his mask and makeup made him slip, throwing the dagger directly at Aragon who seriously slashed the blade out of the air with his own sword, which he preferred to be real instead of a prop.
Saruman NEVER served Sauron nor bent to him at all in the books. The Gandalf locked in the Tower bit is explained ONLY in the Unfinished Tales Book: In [manuscript-C) The Black Riders arrived at the Gate of Isengard while Gandalf was still a prisoner in the tower. In this account, Saruman, in fear & despair, & perceiving the full horror of service to Mordor, resolved suddenly to yield to Gandalf, & to beg for his pardon & help. Temporizing at the Gate, he admitted that he had Gandalf within, & said that he would go & try to discover what he knew; if that were unavailing, he would deliver Gandalf up to them. Then Saruman hastened to the summit of Orthanc - & found Gandalf gone. Away south against the setting moon he saw a great Eagle flying towards Edoras. See, the thing is he was always master of studying the enemy & even being able to think like they do to always know exactly the best ways to handle ever situation and so on, but the thing is he didn't just become the enemy, he at this time in a sense for once actually grew afraid of him, probably Sauron did what Sauron did with Finrod Felagund in the duel of visions, (Galadriel’s elder brother who by the way was the most important in the Legendarium & is the main reason the third age even exists) which basically widdled Saruman with various visions of the past and future until it wore him down, but Saruman(Curumo) was the mostly already becoming weary due to what was called The Long Defeat, magic bleeding out from the lands of middle earth and subsequently certain things become less and less possible and the elves begin to go west. Even the ones who never wished to leave middle earth and many of which were born here by the thousands. So him also being a student and helper of Aulë of the Valar he was going to fight fire with fire and make a bid for the ring just so Sauron could never regain full power and if Saruman found a way to release himself from his power restrictions even by any small margin or worked with Eru in some way it might have worked out in the end if things went differently enough to where such action from him would be needed. Ontop of that he was growing ever jealous of Gandalf for he received the Varya from Círdan and prior to that was chosen by the other Valar, Nienna’s chosen champion to go to middle earth. But Gandalf(Olórin back then) refused over and over and exclaimed his fear of Sauron(Mairon), varya I feel would have kindle the heart of Saruman to stay strong as he had been fighting the evils of the world for a very long time since he had been sent to Middle Earth. And for the is reason Saruman wished to hold the ring at hostage. Keep Sauron from taking back his full strength and basically use it to stave off The Long Defeat. Saruman is very complex. The Hobbit movies actually shows how he was even 60 years ago during Bilbo’s story. He was one of the main forces thwarting Sauron for over 2000 years. The Númenoreans: the high men of the west; gifted Saruman with Orthanc which was of their making. Now known as Isengard. [[Correction given to me recently to which I’ll need to double check for myself regardless: The Númenoreans didn't give Isengard to Saruman, after Helm Hammerhand died, Saruman returned from his journeys in the far east, and sort of "occupied it by friendly force", Fréaláf (the new King of Rohan) told Saruman to contact Beren (Gondor's Steward), which gladly gave Orthanc's key to the wizard (grave mistake). ]] - Saruman is actually trying to doublecross sauron and wanted Gandalf to simply help him subdue toe rings evil so they could use it to defeat Sauron together as a single duo-unit. He wants the ring for himself for what was still a noble reason. He thinks he can control it. The little orcs around saruman are from mordor - sauron's orcs sent to help saruman but also to spy on him. The big fighting orcs - the uruk hai - are loyal only to Saruman. Orcs are like that. But it’s why Saruman’s orders are a bit vague - to avoid sauron's orcs knowing what Saruman is doing. The movies dont make this bit of the story very clear. But notice that, while Saruman knows where the fellowship is he never lets Sauron Know.
15:15 Its the same river as earlier, and that river is a STRONG river. I do believe Tom Bombadil's wife is in the headwaters of the brandywine, and that does some SHIT to badguys.
Enjoyed watching the movie with you. You are the first crew I've encountered who watched the Hobbit movies before the LOTR movies. That's the order Tolkien's books were written, although the screen writers added a lot of material to what was originally a short children's book to turn it into three full-length movies. Looking forward to T2T.
Also the movie makes things look like they are happening quickly. For example... Gandalf gives Frodo the ring and leaves to do research.. it was like 15 years in the books before Gandalf came back to send Frodo on the journey. The movie makes it seem like a week
Isildur was a numian which is like a step below elf but Aragorn is related to him so his mother had him live with the elves to protect him from assassins 🤘🏽🫡
So just to let y'all know, I was on the same page as a kid wondering why Elrond didn't just push the guy. But now that I'm older, had he done so, the ring would've corrupted him too and he would've been tempted to keep kt rather than destroy. Thats why Frodo and Bilbo are remarkable due to their ability to resist the rings temptations
In book - Isildur NEVER succumbs to The One Ring, instead spends time being a fair ruler, gave power away to the people INSTEAD of being power hungry. He comes to realize that he is not powerful enough to truly bend the ring to his will. That it will eventually overcome him. Isildur resolves to give the ring to Elrond but is killed on the way to Rivendel. It's a tragic story of a man that tries to right his wrong but ultimately fails. In the books isildur literally repented and was about to bring the ring to Rivendell and apologize as he recognized it was beyond him even for a great numenorean connected to the faithful line of the mighty Elendil I preface the prologue & war, other depictions I LOVE, captured the themes WELL, the vibe of the whole trilogy! The significance of the duel between Elendil & Sauron was Nerffed; (He wasn’t some random old bloke in armour getting smacked around) This man was MIGHTY and gleaming with power which you’ll find out in the great videos you’ll soon react to with joy! * He and Gil-Galad; last true Elven King battled Sauron and slayed Sauron’s physical body and both died in the process. GilGalad was held high by the face for all free peoples to see as he then incinerated his bodily form to a crisp of ash! Isildur was part of the fight too but not as prominently and he just comes up to the body to cut the ring finger off and…. So one example is how easily Sauron is killed in the intro. * • He's set up as this super powered badass, but all you have to do is cut off his finger? That's not how it went down in the book, where the greatest man-king and the greatest elven-king had to double-team Sauron to strike down his body, but were killed in the effort (Isildur then cuts the ring from the corpse). Especially for elves the title of king has many meanings & by the Third Age there isn’t a population large enough to even attempt to such a thing as creating a unified kingdom, which would put a target on their backs, let alone many of them are beyond all of that anyway as it’s seen as doing more harm than anything good. * They also seen what happened when the elves fell upon the swords of their own hubris and passion no matter if it was for the right reasons some of the time. That it always ended up in some sort of tragedy which sometimes even damaged the earth itself. They had long known about what’s called the Long Defeat as ever since Morgoth’s marring of the land itself; pouring his remnants into it that caused the “magic” to slowly drain away from the land itself, which is sad because for ages several clans of elves were born there. even the greatest ancestors were “born” in middle earth awakening to the stars ! Many of who are left have accepted the next phase of their life which is to become councillors, healers and loremasters to those with the heart to listen and the desire to learn. But above all the guardians and custodians of several things and the world itself for as long as they can remain!❤ The elves “exist” as long as the world does. And Tolkien made it obvious in many ways that it’s our world as he restored Anglo Saxon culture/Mythologies and folklore, and their languages too alongside Irish, Welsh and Finnish mythologies too. Especially Norwegian(of which I am) This is what Amazon (the show that shall not be named) didn’t deliver either [[AKA the actual story which inspired everything we love into existence with games and movies and books and so forth. Skyrim, elder scrolls, oblivion, Diablo, and world of Warcraft and D&D. And Game Of Thrones was hugely inspired by Tolkien… yet as the godfather of everything and the heart of what caused many peoples lives to be saved cannot get the justice it deserves for adaptations? People literally conquered cancer because of the books and the trilogy, the books were read to their children for years. All 25 of them. The man was a hugely respected scholar and professor in the world. Translated ancient artifacts and hieroglyphs and petroglyphs and so forth for the government etc. (JRR Tolkien even rejected being recruited into the CIA several times & he wrote everyone by letter and referenced the dudes who came to him as “little boys who knew not what they got themselves into” which showed his fearlessness.). The readers of the trilogy that came out are who he writes back to despite always replying to everyone back and forth. Many people have shared the stories regarding these conversations which were past down throughout the family lines of the people who had a personal relationship with Tolkien which was hundreds of people when he was alive. Thousands. (Some are in video format too or happened to be shared later on in the video or comes up during a video about him and his work. Especially nowadays when many of us came out of the woodwork to defend professor Tolkiens legacy from amazons money grubbing hands and so forth. Giving many channels a new lease on life where some make Tolkien related content now amongst other things they create content wise.
@Makkaru112 honestly thanks for the info. Its been so long since I've read the books that I might as well say I never read. That's interesting to know and unfortunate that this vital information wasn't depicted in the film, but I can see why they probably scrapped the whole thing since, without being extended edition, is a long enough movie. But for a casual fan such as myself, I appreciate this fun fact! Thank you every much and happy new year to you!
The Hobbit films added a bunch of non-canon characters and story elements to extend what was originally just one book. The LotR trilogy films are much closer to the source material. It's worth giving those books a read as they're great works of literature, build the world more thoroughly, and fill in the gaps that Jackson couldn't cover in three films.
Hey RTTV it’s awesome that you guys are seeing this lit ass trilogy but when are you guys gonna go back to Aliens and predator and prometheus ? but anyways I’m also excited for you guys reacting to TLOTR tho😂
The movies get better as they go. Fellowship is slow paced and may bore many people. But the 2nd and 3rd movie are get exponentially better than their respective predecessor. Save your opinion until the trilogy is over. The Hobbit trilogy has nothing on the OG trilogy
30:28 You will give the people of earth an ideal to strive towards, They race behind you they will stumble they will fall, but in time they will join you in the sun, in time you will help them accomplish wonders.
Don't know if you remember the end of the hobbit hisdad says to legolas there's a young ranger you need to find which you would of got if you watched it the right way round but the ranger he's talking about is aragorn
LOTR and the Hobbit are always best viewed by the extended versions. The books I read in JR High in the 60s and have so much more to the stories that each book would be hours longer. And pipe weed is tobacco, not weed as most people think.
One of the reasons the Hobbit movies got a bad rap when released was that they were 48 FPS in theaters, a supposed 'better' technology but they looked atrocious and not cinematic. Critics hated it so much they couldn't notice anything else it was super distracting. I watched it in horror and couldn't pay attention even though I had the book memorized. In home media that problem is gone now.
Shoutout to the guy who finally said Boromir, as Boromir died! Please do yourself a favour guys and learn the character names. Also, I never heard of anyone giving any of the three lotr movies a bad rep 😅... Anyhow, great watching with you this far!
41:41 Goonies for life! 😄Dont recall if ya'll have seen Goonies. Sean Astin has been a legend for a long time. When it comes to fantasy scores Howard Shore-LOTR, Harry Gregson-Williams-Narnia, and John Williams-HP gave the world magic in real life. Can't wait to see your reaction to Rohirrim in the next two films, Gondor's cool but Rohirrims are just incredible.
The Uruks are not "junior orcs" as I believe the guy on the left stated. They are the opposite. They are elite compared to the orcs. 1 Uruk would wreck multiple orcs without effort
Elrond would have had to do a suicide run and might not have made it. If he tried and failed, he just declared war between elves and men for trying to murder the human’s new king.
@Kidapollo92 u know he is not a regular human, right? Isildur is numenoreains! 7+ feet tall..he is Bigger n stronger than elrond physically, plus he got the one ring with him so Elrond will get one shot.
@@Derpk-rt9bymany channels keep getting caught lying about never seeing LOTR before. And it’s funny when they get added to the hall of shame videos where the compilation is of them roasting themselves with their own strange behaviour lol
If they can’t handle the movies they won’t handle Unfinished Tales and histories of middle earth etc to even understand Silmarillion and Tolkien’s scholarly revival of ancient knowledge
I’m enjoying your reaction. SPOILERS FOR THE HOBBIT The phial Galadriel gives Frodo is the same one she used to drive Sauron put of Dol Guldor during Gandalf’s reacue.
@@Makkaru112 One of my favorites of Tolkien's stories. The name is from a poem by Cynewulf called Crist I. That Earendel is the Morning Star, brightest of Angels. Tolkien is usually so subtle about his religious symbolism. I like that when he chose to be obvious it was about the Redeemer of the world.
Amazon waited until Christopher Tolkien died early in the production of its DumpsterFire (before they went against what they promised), his "demand" was that Amazon could use the Appendices to make the show, but they couldn't change the lore. As soon as Christopher died, Amazon delayed the show for reshoots, fired Tom Shippey who was the lead Tolkien scholar & friend of Tolkien himself; they wanted Jackson on the team. PeterJackson asked for the scripts then they ghosted him. Then later when asked about it he basically told them good luck.. You can blame this garbage show on Simon Tolkien (who Amazon used to get around all the laws and protections set around the estate and JRR Tolkien’s legacy), its stink doesn't reach Christopher. Firstly: they merge events (from thousands of years of history & build up towards several events but puts them all into one moment as if it’s happening in the same few years without time jumps or anything.) Guyladriel the murderous one dimensional girlboss heroine version of Galadriel never met Miriel(one of Aragorn’s ancestors) because, as an elf, she would have been sacrificed to Morgoth by the King's Men. The hobbits and Gandalf never met in the 2nd Age because Gandalf was in Valinor till the 3rd Age. Miriel wasn’t even born yet. She was born 2000 years before the rings of power era. A precursor to other events to come in later ages. Also Elendil would never say “forget the past and toss it aside.” That’s the whole thing about the Faithful Númenoreans!!! Faithfulness to what’s good. To their elf friends. To the Valar, to Eru Îlluvatar(The One AllFather), The way Galadriel acts like Fëanor when he isn’t seeing straight such as how she threatened bloodshed in the highest court of Númenor! The way she isn’t tall, the way she fights rookies doesn’t make her look strong. Should have had her spar with Elendil who was greater than Miriel in many ways even as far as lineage goes too! (Canon has her as a grandson or son so…) Have her spar with those greater Numenoreans and let the rookies laugh at their masters being vested by an elf woman holding back from actually hurting them! Now that’d be cool. (Remember. Their whole mantra was to write the book Tolkien never wrote”. Also watch them fake super fans. And then watch their social media that had nothing Tolkien on it ever. Like…. It’s painfully obvious what’s going on here. Same formula towards other titles. They’re just trying to bank on the brand of which that’s the only reason they did this. Just watch Peter Jackson’s new movie coming out and the War of the Rohirim. You’ll see that Brian Cox is involved In it along with Philipa Boyens as well as Actor for Èowyn named Miranda Otto. Fran Walsh I also believe is Involved as well! Watch George The Giant Slayer’s first video regarding the war of the rohirrim. It was beautiful. And he has a wonderful soul too. When I say first video. I don’t mean very first uploaded video though lol. ) There was also no Adar. No poppy. No Nori. No fake Gandalf who literally didn’t come the way he was supposed to which introduces Círdan. And since they screwed up the themes and lore so badly they have to dig in their heels. & they are also being sued by multiple people and groups and companies actually. The 3 rings were forged after the 1 ring, not first. They were not in his sights or touch nor did he even know about them. And also guyladriel wasn’t a murderous Fëanorean either. But the note of the elven rings: They were made last and without the knowledge of Sauron. His touch never got to them, nor his malice poured into them. Made in secret so that whole story is thrown out the window as well. And making them first and having the obvious Sauron figure who wasn’t an elf to just be there when they’re making them and have his eye show up in the forge which wasn’t even the worst of it. The greatest of elven smiths still around which is Celebrimbor doesn’t even know what alloying is. Not to mention all their environmental scandals on top of bad CGI stuff. Full of copy past crowds (I wish I was joking), and plagiarism of several films up the wazoo. It’s also getting sued by several people and groups. So many 1 to 1 shots of season 1 and game of thrones and other films that it’s not even funny anymore lol. I’ll also remind you that they just ran an old sick horse til it died of cardiac arrest and then only had a ten min coffee break to loosely honour this horse. Not to mention Tolkien loved animals in a deep way. They also have been causing environmental damage one of which being King Charles ancient forest to make a set. It’s scandal after scandal. And the fire in studio that took four hours to put out with firemen for yet another example. (Note; Isildur being on this show in the timeline these hazily depicted events would mean Isildur is over 3000 years old by the time of the last alliance that began the third age when it ended. Lol. That doesn’t make sense now does it?). So many people made videos over the last two or three years alone regarding the series got them to read the books and then they got very confused first. Then upset when they found out that nothing of the show was I. The books at all. Only twisted and warped things full of inserted politics and themes that Tolkien was no fan of. PS they don’t have the rights to the Silmarillion nor anything much of the second age let alone the first. Only the trilogy books and their appendices…. Remember that they also plagiarized tonnes of films in nontasteful instead of true a homage way… “tempest in me” but when threatening Fëanorean level bloodshed in the court of Númenor was from Cate Blanchett’s Elizabeth role which was done with grace and poise of a veteran actress(which doesn’t even sound like anything those of the great chill house of Finarfin would even act like. Again it’d be best to put Elrond there due to Elros. But ooook let’s make girlboss do everything. Even if it continues to make zero sense. 😍 fact they downplayed Elendil who’d never say to “forget the past”, Gil-Galad and Finrod is beyond infuriating and not explaining Elwing, Elronds mother beyond just showing her as a swan was pure LOLism. Like. What’s worse is Grandpabimbor…. Let’s not forget good ol’ Guyladriel either. The LOTR version of Star Wars’ Rey! Guyladriel the Female Fëanor without any of his charms and subtleties and wit… just the bloody violent rages… They lost alot of viewers after their bait and switch behaviour. Hundreds reported shenanigans on their app where it’d force you to watch and episode twice in variously described circumstances. Bribed people left and right with things like that screening. Even the official critics fell asleep. Many longtime film analysts along with actors and film students/professionals give basic criticism and in depth look at the editing and so forth which causes it to fall flat on its face. Abandons plot left and right. Full of member berries. Just because we got fake Tom Bombadil doesn’t mean we’ll flip onto our backs to play with the jingling keys. Balrog wasn’t awoken until thousands of years later. They’re horridly depicted scenarios which often aren’t canon: were separated by hundreds of years. Some of them by thousands. Not cool. Amazon is known to be corrupt.
Amazon timeline is all wrong. The 3 were forged by Celebrimbor AFTER the 1 Ring was made. Made in response to the threat of the One gaining dominion over the lesser rings and their bearers. We haven't got there yet. Elronds concerns over Sauron controlling the Three makes NO SENSE in this timeline. That particular threat has not materialised yet. The One Ring doesn't exist yet. This is CRUCIAL, it's not a minor oversight. Sauron is not even aware of the Three until he creates the One. They've wrote themselves into a corner and are hoping people don't notice. Please! Don't they understand Tolkien fans at all haha? Probably not because they certainly don't understand Tolkien. Many events from this show don’t ever reveal that they’re indeed separated by 500 to 1000 years a pop. It wasn’t happening all within the same 5 lol. - Remember, Amazon's 2nd age is not Tolkien. It’s a perverted vision of what should have been, if the show leaders & chief writers had stayed true to the original canon. but we both know, fellow Tolkien Lover, that this is an absolute violation of the vision & canon that the great Professor laid down. Really what our speculations Should be is how far from or how deep are they going to take their perversions & distortions. Amazons Rings of Power are a catastrophic failure. It's a bunch of mumbo jumbo BS that is meant for the uninitiated! It is eye candy at best........ at best! It is a tragedy what Bezos has done with this sacred work! Tolkien rolls over endlessly in his grave, and I weep endlessly as well. A sign of the times my friend, a sign of the times! part 2 - The timeline presented in Amazon's Rings of Power series does not align with the original Second Age canon created by J.R.R. Tolkien. The series makes several changes and combines events that are separated by hundreds to thousands of years in the original source material, leading to inconsistencies and contradictions. Many Tolkien fans and purists have criticized the show for its departure from the original vision and disrespect for the lore created by the professor. The series is seen as a disappointment and a sign of the times, with some fans even claiming that it is a violation of the sacred works of Tolkien. Sacred because so many peoples lives were saved and transformed by all of his scholarly work. ❤
Was this in the series ? - 17 rings were meant to go to elves (300-500years of infiltration & deception down the drain.) but Mairon of the Maiar(primordial angelic beings in simple terms as they are beyond angels) disguised as a high elf named Annatar when he came to the elves pretending to be an emissary from Valinor on behalf of the Valar so it makes sense how alluring the ring is and how strong it’s pull on people is.

Who tf is giving the fellowship bad rep bruh? This trilogy is goated all over the globe.
@ The years I’ve been alive I have learned there will always be positive & negative no matter how much we hate it b’c both cant apparently live without the other 🙄😒 and vice versa.
i know someone who told me with a straight face that its “stupid” and “just a ripoff of harry potter”. obviously, they never watched it

@KrljaviDzo - It was deltoro that ruined and created HOBBIT. PJ and crew were the ones who were called to the studio to rescue the flaming nosedive from deltoro that sent that film into. PJ wanted more time to just start over but he had to work with a lot of film that was already produced.

17:15 That would have immediately caused a war between elves and men. Two kings go in, one king come out? Baaaaad look.
Right, never ending war
I remember when you guys were on Twitch watching this, man you guys have really come far since then!

You saw the difference between make-up and computer graphics
Orcs from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
I liked parts of the Hobbit a lot, but some of the CG was really sloppy.
[[Correction given to me recently to which I’ll need to double check for myself regardless:
The Númenoreans didn't give
Isengard to Saruman, after Helm Hammerhand died, Saruman returned from his journeys in the far east, and sort of "occupied it by friendly force", Fréaláf (the new King of Rohan) told Saruman to contact Beren (Gondor's Steward), which gladly gave
Orthanc's key to the wizard (grave mistake). ]]
-
Saruman is actually trying to doublecross sauron and wanted Gandalf to simply help him subdue toe rings evil so they could use it to defeat Sauron together as a single duo-unit.

Happy New Year! Great reaction thank you ❤
Also the movie makes things look like they are happening quickly. For example... Gandalf gives Frodo the ring and leaves to do research.. it was like 15 years in the books before Gandalf came back to send Frodo on the journey. The movie makes it seem like a week
27:40 my dude falling asleep
when gandalf went to do research on the ring, it actually took 17 years
Isildur was a numian which is like a step below elf but Aragorn is related to him so his mother had him live with the elves to protect him from assassins 🤘🏽🫡
40:20 - Real left hook
40:24 - Real headbutt
40:29 - REAL KNIFE
In the books isildur literally repented and was about to bring the ring to Rivendell and apologize as he recognized it was beyond him even for a great numenorean connected to the faithful line of the mighty Elendil
I preface the prologue & war, other depictions I LOVE, captured the themes WELL, the vibe of the whole trilogy!
Especially Norwegian(of which I am)
This is what Amazon (the show that shall not be named) didn’t deliver either [[AKA the actual story which inspired everything we love into existence with games and movies and books and so forth.
The hobbit making them think that goblin town is Moria 😂
Good choice. I hope you guys react to the extended versions of the other two movies as well
The Hobbit films added a bunch of non-canon characters and story elements to extend what was originally just one book.
The Hobbit trilogy has nothing on the OG trilogy
it only gets better and better by each movie
Finally!!!! Be prepared to have the experience! Welcome to the fold of The Lord of the Rings!!!

Jerry be killin me w the screams lmfao 😂
Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉
15:02 It still holds up even today, there is NO used to be Lol.
Too short the reaction I think the editor took so much important secuence.
And that's why you use prosthetics and practical effects, it looks so much better than The Hobbit.

Extended is the only way to watch it all

@TheRealBillix if you followed them on Twitch, they sat down n watched it, man.. like 3 years ago.. we watched along with them..
Next The Lord Of The Ring Extended Edition Of The Two Tower Extended Edition
(3) The Return Of The King Extended Edition
Rob: what you want him to kill him?
Wellz: for the greater good?!! Maybe atleast think about it
Me: the same time as wellz: hell yeah dafuq!!
Elrond would have had to do a suicide run and might not have made it. If he tried and failed, he just declared war between elves and men for trying to murder the human’s new king.
@ soooo be it!!!
@Kidapollo92 u know he is not a regular human, right? Isildur is numenoreains! 7+ feet tall..he is Bigger n stronger than elrond physically, plus he got the one ring with him so Elrond will get one shot.

That's part of why I like all these reaction channels and get a taste of people.
This is their flavor!🎉
Did you all see the petrified trolls from the hobbit at the end with boromir?
Why do people keep calling him Ned? He was Boromir way before he was Ned Stark.

ok now we get real LOTR
Read Book Of The Silmarillion
If they can’t handle the movies they won’t handle Unfinished Tales and histories of middle earth etc to even understand Silmarillion and Tolkien’s scholarly revival of ancient knowledge
Too many people only care about being seen in this world.
LOTR= Best movies ever
Can't wait for the third movie "Return of the Jedi"
I’m enjoying your reaction.
SPOILERS FOR THE HOBBIT
The phial Galadriel gives Frodo is the same one she used to drive Sauron put of Dol Guldor during Gandalf’s reacue.
A synthasis of Eärendil’s light. Of the last of three silmarils upon the brow of Elrond’s father. Eärendil.
@@Makkaru112 One of my favorites of Tolkien's stories. The name is from a poem by Cynewulf called Crist I. That Earendel is the Morning Star, brightest of Angels. Tolkien is usually so subtle about his religious symbolism. I like that when he chose to be obvious it was about the Redeemer of the world.
cant wait for the rest and rings of power😍😍
(Canon has her as a grandson or son so…)
Have her spar with those greater Numenoreans and let the rookies laugh at their masters being vested by an elf woman holding back from actually hurting them!
I don’t mean very first uploaded video though lol. )
There was also no Adar. No poppy.
But the note of the elven rings:
They were made last and without the knowledge of Sauron.
Remember that they also plagiarized tonnes of films in nontasteful instead of true a homage way…
“tempest in me” but when threatening Fëanorean level bloodshed in the court of Númenor was from Cate Blanchett’s Elizabeth role which was done with grace and poise of a veteran actress(which doesn’t even sound like anything those of the great chill house of Finarfin would even act like.
Again it’d be best to put Elrond there due to Elros. But ooook let’s make girlboss do everything. Even if it continues to make zero sense. 😍
fact they downplayed Elendil who’d never say to “forget the past”, Gil-Galad and Finrod is beyond infuriating and not explaining Elwing, Elronds mother beyond just showing her as a swan was pure LOLism. Like. What’s worse is Grandpabimbor…. Let’s not forget good ol’ Guyladriel either. The LOTR version of Star Wars’ Rey! Guyladriel the Female Fëanor without any of his charms and subtleties and wit… just the bloody violent rages…
They lost alot of viewers after their bait and switch behaviour.

Remember, Amazon's 2nd age is not Tolkien. It’s a perverted vision of what should have been, if the show leaders & chief writers had stayed true to the original canon. but we both know, fellow Tolkien Lover, that this is an absolute violation of the vision & canon that the great Professor laid down.
Really what our speculations
Should be is how far from or how deep are they going to take their perversions & distortions.
(A bit too instant in the movies though)
-
Galadriel soon saw right through him and especially when after speaking with him regarding not remembering him when in Valinor long ago where she learned from all the Valar thanks to being dominantly Vanyar/Teleri side over her Noldorin side where she gleaned from that encounter that she did not study under Aulë the Vala with any elf named Annatar !
Gorthaur was when he ruled in the first age as lord of all werewolves in isle of werewolves called Taur Ín Gaurhoth)
After all of this, The three elven rings were made in secret without Saurons touch upon them thanks to Celebrimbor!
Even appendices of Lot tell us the order of making the rings, so they didn't even need the righs to more detailed writings in UT or Silmarillion:
1200
Sauron endeavours to seduce the Eldar. Gil-galad refuses to treat with him; but the smiths of Eregion are won over. The Númenoreans begin to make permanent havens.
c. 1500
The Elven-smiths instructed by
Sauron reach the height of their skill.
They begin the forging of the Rings of Power.
c. 1590
The Three Rings are completed in Eregion.
c. 1600
Sauron forges the One Ring in
Orodruin. He completes the Barad-dûr. Celebrimbor perceives the designs of Sauron.
1693
War of the Elves & Sauron begins.
The Three Rings are hidden."
'Did you not hear me, Gloin?' said Elrond.
But all that has been wrought by those who wield the Three will turn to their undoing, and their minds and hearts will become revealed to Sauron, if he regains the One."
-
The 3 Elven Rings are not susceptible to “The One Ring” in any direct way..
@Makkaru112 thx for the info i know i read the books . The series are not perfect more like a fanfiction but i still enjoyed it regardless
