I just started playing like a week ago and just hit the 76 hour mark and last night I saw my first real immersive camp and it just filled me with joy exploring it! At first I was mad because it was blocking my camp, but as I explored it, I realized my camp no longer belonged there! 😂

I hope more newer players see your build videos, last night I joined a party with 3 lower levels I'm assuming brand new players and watched one player build his camp on the edge of a cliff and repeatedly kept dying as he fell off the edge while building as the other two would die trying to save the other and it was a none stop repeat of heroic suicide.
Normally, I would help newer players (I'm semi new myself) & ngl I did the first 2 times but it was the most 3 stooges looney toons type shit I've ever seen to the point I just kinda sat there dumbfounded watching as I munched on some chips eventually after what seemed like a solid 38 minutes of emo cliff diving they eventually figured it out & now have a lovely wooden home on the edge of a cliff. I'm so proud of them.

Re: fast travel mats. There should be a ring around the outside of our camp radius, where we can set the spawn point. We can’t build in this outer ring, so no traps.

If I remember correctly, they tried the fast travel mats for camps, but there was to many problems. I’ve been playing off and on since 2018.
I love how every time you explain how to drop merge you also take the time explain it isn't "dropping". Semantics matter, I'm sorry it took me multiple videos and years to subscribe but I'm in now. Thanks for the great tutorials and the commentary especially!

Great structure, also a nice simple base structure with ideas of low crafter levels and a living cube in 2nd floor. One interesting addition is to add a floor shelter somewhere near power armor and make it a living corner and 2nd floor reuse for something else, mb a storage of sort. Still nice build ❤

I stayed in this spot with my mobile CAMP for a couple months. Wait until there's a Rad Storm in the Mire or Cranberry Bog. It's a hell of a sight.

First things first: this looks freakin' awesome, love your camp builds.
Regarding the fast travel matts, mentioned at 11:02, it bothers me that we have them in the game, they've been there since the start back in October 2018, but we can only use them in workshops not in our real camps. That makes no sense at all to me.
Wait they are available in workshop ??? Never built in one seriously so
they removed them from camps because people would but them inside rooms with traps or whatever and kill anyone that spawned into their camp. literally all they'd have to do is make traps not damage anyone that has pvp turned off or give people some amount of immunity when fast travelling to someone else's camp, but i guess they're too lazy for that.
@@cnam73 they don’t even have to do that. I have one in my camp and only the camp owner travels to it. If they gave us one that worked this way it wouldn’t be something you could make traps with (except to trap yourself)

Do any of the merging tricks work on the PC version? Also is it possible to pick up and move objects in the PC version?
All the same tricks work on all platforms! You can’t pick up and move around junk items and stuff on any platform like you can on fallout 4, but you can place them in displays (which is what I did here)
Lovely! I keep my camp at the scouts tower near Camp Adams and have glitched into the tower and put little scenes in there. Over time I've lost the desire to make fun builds but this gives me some ideas. What would you do at that scout tower location? There's a Raider at a camp just below me on the hill, I've wanted to make "cowtapults" to launch at him; where to get a ready source of dead brahmin? Was there a smiley face on that baseball?
That sounds like a good idea, especially the cowtapults. And yeah! The baseball smiley face is on the season pass

Dumb question I just started Fallout 76 how do you access build mode on PC and get your camp. Thank you.
If you open your pip boy, press z to place your camp, then after that, you can either hold v while in the build zone or go up to the module and interact with it to enter build mode!
I need that truck for my junker base I've been working on. Plus my toddler loves the "broo tuck" so now I have to get it lol.

Question, when I blueprint something, then place it, I go to store the bottom, unwanted object, and both disappear. Even when I select something else first, when I go back and just select the ONE object, they both disappear. Does it matter what I’m using? I was trying to place a picnic table into uneven ground so it wasn’t floating. I put the table on the small doormat you always use, blueprint that and got the table into the ground and stored the mat and poof, both gone. Was so frustrating. Broke Xbox use btw
If you have an item stacked on another item, you can’t remove the bottom item or they both disappear. To sink something down, I try to use small floor objects that can sit on the ground without looking out of place and use that as the “mat” in that scenario
@@misterchurch666 ahhh I got ya! That was what my next thought was. But it was getting too late and at that point I realized already that I still didn’t listen to the golden rule, build small and decorate a lot. So I knew I’m finna have to move anyway. I’ve spent a lot of time in WV growing up on the Hatfield and McCoy trails. This next place is gonna look like a straight up classy trash heap just like we saw on the trails!

#1, you can’t tell me NO ONE at Bethesda can take 15 minutes of their day and organize the wall menu. It should just be a list of each building set and you can scroll right for all the pieces. Done…🙄

I enjoy telling stories with my camp builds as well. unfortunately the story always ends up being the same, that story being "i had a really cool idea but half way through i got so frustrated with the stupid building mechanics I quit!"

I haven’t done too much building on 4, and the mechanics are different, I’m not opposed to trying new things though!
@@misterchurch666 I think it would make your creativity shine because you have far less restrictions. Essentially no restrictions if you use place anywhere mod. You’ve built some absolute gems of camps in 76.

Hey man, I was wondering if you could challenge yourself and make a build using only items/sets aquired using caps, stamps, or unlocking through exploration/quests. Im a vet in this game but with the hundreds of newbies joining im sure they could use some inspiration and hope that they dont NEED to spend money to have a good build

@@misterchurch666 I built mine close to vault 79 but the lighting is really glitchy there so the only solution to not get random huge shadow was using the Atlantic city fog weather station and that made me think I should rec them and post them since I build so many camp that I ended up scraping to build another one

Wish I had those pavilion walls 😭 These steel beam supports are such a throw off
One thing to try is (if you have the flamer trap) building those walls out of the normal wood shack walls and burning them! They leave behind nice wooden beams
