there pickup headders. They are for places with a cooler, shorter season. You cut and swath the grain, so it dries faster, then pick it up, and combine it with these.
Are those called swather heads? Never seen them around here. Probably only good in very dry country. Kinda like using a binder and not tying the bundles I guess.

Yes... Prior to harvesting we had the field surveyed and it was 162 acres in total (we added a couple acres to the previous record for good measure).
