- Enclosure subwoofer box in honda civic.
Fun project which was worked on by 3 people. It took 2 days to make, with big breaks and etc.

That looks great! Did you make the back form by adding fiberglass to the factory mold? You guys make it look simple. It's been years since I did anything like this and now my daughters are at that age. Thanks
I did a copy of the back cover with a masking tape and fiberglass.
So you used masking tape across the OEM panel, and then applied fiberglass and resin to make the back mold?

Looks great awesome work boxes like theses are perfect for looks only down fall you don’t get nowhere close to what the subwoofer is made for the sound quality is poor and you won’t have any bass at all coming from that sub there is actually a lot of math and science that goes behind building a subwoofer enclosure but I love how clean it looks nice work guys also I know you said that you used glass but I didn’t see any glass especially on the front half of the box only fabric did you put it on the back of the inside of the box?

They state that they put 3 layers of fiberglass on after they hardened the cloth with resin.
Do you know how many liters the box is? How is the soud in a fiber glass box? Which do you think is better ported or sealed with fiber glass?
If you can share I will apreciate an aswer cause i want to do mine, , Thanks
The liters depend of the sub u have or u buy.. It must be on the specifications or just search for it.
Answering the second question, it all depends of what u want again mate.. If u want only quality u choose the sealed, if u want a little less quality and bigger noise u choose the ported.
Any doubts, just ask.
As soon as I saw The Ring I know it was MB Quartz. But I've never seen the Reference Series. I have the shallow rlp 10's I love my MB Quartz RLP254's but I missed one in tweeters from way back in the day

Maybe a stupid question but how did you go about making the mold of the back of the box
+Scottie sturkie By watching the other videos about making these, first step is taping or protecting that place other way, then adding few layers fiberglass so you can take it out so it stays in shape. Then you take it out and add the rest of the layers. Unfortunately I dont know how thick it should be :/

Step one, find a molded fiberglass shell that fits in the trunk.
Weird that you're doing all the rest of the steps on this but leave out the actual fiberglass portion of it.

Jonas Lindenblatt tell me bout it I painted my citroen 2cv 0.5 liter red and now it chops lambos and ferrari s with ease I think I gained a little extra weight as I used house paint but thats all good because the 2000bph is all I need to do mad skidz

Why do people never seem to use actual fiberglass? This is just epoxy on some fleece, will shatter at any real sign of abuse and is heavy as all hell.
they usely use epoxy on fleec as a base and fiber glass inside and outside untill smoothbut i have been seeing alot an i mean alot that use fleece an epoxy as the main building material and yes it will breack and shatter without fiberglass on it
