Amazing work! I'm going to do a couple ghetto 8" sub installs in an '05 and '07 Forester XT with MDF. I don't think I could ever pull off what you did. Those Skar Audio subs are popular, huh? Does it sound pretty nice in your unported enclosure?
Thanks!! , the Sub is designed for a sealed low vol space. I didnt want to reduce the storage capability of the forester as much as I could,... I still need to adult you see... its really not a hard process,.. just time consuming and dusty.... the only power tool I used was the angle grinder for some smoothing.. makes for quick sanding jobs. all the parts I layed out, in the video,... no more than ~$150 in stuff... of course this does not shake the town,.. but it does add bass even with the giant sunroof open , I am using a DSP as well to boost and clean the signal before a 500w skar amp, this is the second build I used Skar gear on, I have had no issues, and everything looks like it was built with intent and care.
Great end result, but that was a shit lot of work!
Confirmed!....
bel lavoro complimenti.
Haha that's really cool! 👍
Hello I have one question. maybe you can help me, why you not make it an air outlet? Wouldn't it sound better?
The woofer specs call for a low volume, .6 ft3 unported box..
where did u get that blue fleece or whatever it is ? nice work
Amazon, I believe that was called Lycra fabric.. worked great for stretching

Craftmanship is great, but that box is pretty small for that sub.
.6 ft3 was all that was required for sealed... I never measured it but it's got to be near that... Otherwise... It sounds great.
