That's all I needed to see. Thank you! I'll be buying some soon.
My exact mower and probably and now my exact fix… appreciate you!! Thanks.
SOLD! I have those crap Turf Savers that came on my John Deere. If the dog pees in the yard on the day I mow, they spin.
Just used your link and bought these. Thanks!
Awesome idea thanks!
So glad i found this video!
Ive had them in my cart for days considering them.... As soon as i post this ima check out. Thanks buddy!
😂😂😂 same here
Wish I had a set for winter time 😊
Awesome tractor
Tractor tires an wheel weights work great on steep terrain yards, have them on mine ! 👍
I used them on a yard mule that I had ripping up roots after some trees were taken down. Zero slippage, they just launch. A real bumpity-bump ride and they are rough on the lawn.
Great vid, checked it out before ordering better traction tires for my Troy-Pony.
Added: Your back lot looks nearly exactly like mine. Ours borders a wooded area also.
I actually got the 20x10x8 rear 'double lug' from Amazon and front standard lug tires.
Would have liked the tractor type ribbed front set for better steering grip,
but could not find a satisfactory set.
Keep the informative vids coming.!
great video. i have the same mower, want to upgrade same tires but i am undecided to grab those 20x10-8 or 18x9,5-8. fear that those 18 will be a lil too small or not? any help is very apprecciated. thanks!
They look awesome, my property has a steep hill, even the slightest but of dampness is enough to make the tyres slip
You should love these
So now if my Craftsman T210 stock rear tires say 20x8.00-8 can I replace them with any tires i want that are 20x10-8 ? As long as the new tires are for 8'' rims? My main concern is will the 20x10-8's fit snuggly from side to side on the 8'' rim? Being the 10 is the width of the tire and the stock is 8 inch wide does that mean the extra 2 inches of width is only at the surface of the tires and not the part of the tire that goes on the rim?
I have the same kind except mine are ATV tires. I don't want turf saver, I want turf grabber!
I put these on my troy bilt 42" deck now the right rear wheel is touching the deck when its set to all the way up height.
All you need is one usually the right side the other side is free
Remember to re-level your deck height, since you're setting higher in the rear.
Very true, thank you
So how do you do that?
Actually, THIS was the video that caused me to try these tires. I thanked you under your shorter video on the subject, but this really belongs here:
Dude, you ROCK!!!
My John Deere came with those "Turf Savers." What they didn't save was my back, as I was constantly getting stuck and having to pick up the rear end of the mower and move it out of the slightest wet spot in the yard. Seriously, I have a very slight slope in my yard, and unless it had been two weeks since the last rain, I could not go uphill.
Our tires were exactly the same size. I caught your video, used your link and bought the same exact tires for mine. Brother, I may as well have installed 4 wheel drive. These tires fixed that problem completely!
Thanks!!!
You are very welcome. Glad to hear your problem is solved.
Can you remove the mowing section and use it as a light farm tractor to carry around a small wagon? Or is the mowing section not removable on a riding lawn mower?
I am not an expert, but I have seen several people who have removed the mowing deck and used it as a lightweight tractor. Just remember that if you overload it, you can easily break the transmission.
Take a little bit of air out of them so the threads are flat on the ground, then you will get a much better ride and not feel all the"bumps". I have the same tires on my lawn tractor and i really like them. I've had them since 2015 and they still look good as new.
The trans needs a bit of give on the axel ends.
I split a trans in half with too much tire pressure, caused by not
enough give to relieve the stress on the trans.
What PSI should I run these at?
@@Mechanicalcircus1 I think i have around 20 psi in my tires or maybe less. I was watching that the threads are flat to the ground the last time i checked them so im not very sure about what psi i have in them
@@revolution51 This has not been a problem for me running these tires
🤣💀@@revolution51
im getting these tires
Can I take my 18.5?Briggs and Stratton off of my Craftsman and put a twin cylinder.Twenty four horse on it
Yes you can!! 💯z. Just make sure the mounting holes on the mower match those on the mower. Otherwise, you may need to do some modifying by drilling new holes on the mower. Also make sure the engine has the same size shaft which it should.
How's the mowing part of it??? Being that it's higher in the back.
He would have needed to adjust the front height of the mowing geek which Troy-Bilt (MTD) mowers have in the front under the front near the deck.
Did you mount them on an 8-inch rim??
Yes, it was 8-inch.
what happens when you lower the mower deck? Now your deck is cutting high?
The tire height is nearly similar so cutting height should not be drastically different.
Would this not cause your mowing deck to be at an angle and be an absolute bitch to level to level the deck?
