For changing tires I use either dishwasher liquid, or liquid laundry soap. Like you said it doesn't matter, they all make it slick. Much better than WD 40, that can deteriorate the rubber. Any oil based lube will. I enjoy your videos, interesting and informative 😊 Have a wonderful day sir Those tires look really good . Nice work sir
We was out of dish soap. So I used my wife's expensive "bath and body works soap". This will be my new -goto- lube for tires. Lubes tires plus makes your hands soft... lol thank you for the good coment.
Cool! I might weld a huge washer the the hub for added strength, due to the ATV rim offset. I'm a pretty big guy myself. Your video also gives me a great idea for upgrading my electric wheelchair tires too. Thanks for the great ideas!
i have reversed 13 inch car wheels and tires on a murray about like that one . was able to leave inside 1/2 of rim intact for more strength . no clearance issues w/ well worn 155 80 13 tires . if you grind off part of hub , you can put original wheels/tires from rear on front .
I need to mount some atv tires on my mower But needs to be other way round . Have splined hub mower rims , and my mower takes 10x20x8 tires on a 5 bolt rim . Factory rims are something like 200$ per
@@lsdgarage I measured the bolt pattern , but can't recall what it is . Likely same as a auto , but finding auto rims that fit a 10 " tire would be impossible Just easier to cut the mower rim hubs out and get drilled for bolt pattern
I can find atv tires and rims on market place for less than 100 dollars pair. Atv tires for lawnmower rims you cannot find used easily. And new they are expensive.
Doug Seaman As long as we're splitting hairs... It's called a "Valve Stem Core". But I'm sure everyone else understood what he meant, even it's just refered to as "Removing the stem". Am I wrong? BTW, it was a tube, so it's not mounted to anything. Sheesh!? 🤣🤣🤣

Glad you like it. And please send me pics of your electric wheel chair when u are done.
Good idea if you got a set of wheels around you can cut up.
Yes I agree. Just so happened I got extras around. I am planning on doing same thing on front end also.
Just here for the comments. Never disappointed. Lol.

I wondered about putting rear tires on front. But I didn't know if they were same shaft size.
Yeah that's what I'm going to do
hey i just got the same murrary machine today lol
These are really tough machines if you halfway take care of them.
Welcome to the club..... lol lol 😆 🤣

I didn't know that
Why?
Time to put some on the front
Yes I got a plan to put some on.

What is your bolt pattern. U said 5 bolt pattern. But what is the space between bolt holes?
A cheap automotive rim from scrap yard may fit.

@@outinthesticks1035 I agree.
It’s 4” X 4”. Side to side. Cross is 4” x 1.41
My tape measure must have been wrong. Lol
WOW this is a great video on how not to do shit, I have never seen anyone work so hard at one thing that is a half hour job at most...WOW...
Is the tire ok tho is it strong enough
Why not just get atv tires that fit the mower rims

You mean "Valve Core", not stem. The stem is the part that mounts into the rim and the core is the part you unscrew out.
That was a test and you passed.... lol
