- Today I am showing you how I built my Indonesian blue tongue skink's rainforest vivarium. This is a 4 X 2 X 2 ft tank for a juvenile skink, I'm sure once he is bigger he will get an upgrade. Check out the helpful links below ⬇⬇⬇

@@Jclipz346 what
Yesssssssss
thanks :D
@@leopardgeckotalkremember watching u when I got my first leopard geckos, terrible pets I have a blue tongued skink, two beardies and a leopard gecko that’s miserable 😢 he’s getting better though I like ur videos and hate them at the same time lol
We need more Blue tongue skink vids! :)
haha thanks :)
Really nice build.
Thanks!
how have I never thought of that masking tape thing b4! will deffo be using that one
ikr, I hadn't before either 😂
Just ordered myself a 5x2x2 enclosure from viperia for my rainbow boa, so excited to get it all setup!
Bruce is adorable❤ what a great enclosure!
That's a brilliant video, one that makes me very keen to assemble the (unopened) Viperia 4x2x2 foot tank for my leopard gecko. I think she'll love the extra floor space and climbing opportunities, which is why I'm probably going to import a three-sided background from Custom Reptile Habitats.
I hope you keep us updated with Rex and Bruce as well as your geckos, ants, and jumping spiders, and your RUclips numbers increase to match the quality of your output.
thank you :) and yes you're going to be able to provide so many cool hiding places, things to climb, etc :)
Oh my goodness this is all so breathtakinggggg
aww thanks so much :)
😍 yes! Blue tongue skink vids! Now I want one! When I watch these videos, take a crestie for example, I always want to get one!
thank you! haha I will say he's a little shyer than I expected, but it's still early days. Other than that, when I get the chance to handle him, he's good as gold :)
just saw the notif for this video on Facebook and came to watch ! bts are one of my dream reptiles :)
aw thank you!
Love the blue tonge skink videos i recused one a couple years ago and im always looking for better information to keep her as healthy and happy as i can
I've never owned a pvc tamk, but I know one benefit is that they're much lighter than glass tanks😊 so the extra effort of sealing the edges is worth it😁 also, there is one glass tank that I've seen that's the same size as your tank. It's by reptile one and I've seen it on eBay for like £300 ish😊
ty! luv your videos, im getting a leopard gecko now! your vids always warm my heart! its lovely how involved you are with your reptiles!
Aww thank you! And good luck with your future gecko! :D
0-0 I was replied by THE Rebecca? YAYAYYAYAYAYYAYYAYAY, you videos mean sooooooooo much to me and what inspired me to get my future gecko! THANK YOU for every little thing you do! I owe SOOOOO much to you! YAYAYAYAYYAYAY! :3 im from Scotland and iv been to England before!@@leopardgeckotalk
I have no plans to get a bts,but I knew this would be interesting. He is just adorable,. and I really did not get how big that tank was till you put him in it.
Looks great!
Thanks!
Hi Leopard Gecko, I have been following your content for a while now. Recently, from Frisco, Texas, I have been inspired by you, and many other animal tubers and wrote an editorial on a topic I think should be spread across the world: Before anyone buys or adopts an animal, the buyer should be given a background knowledge quiz, checking their knowledge of the animal's needs/care. I also want to greatly thank you for not only inspiring me to write this editorial, but also inspiring me to get a leopard gecko of my own. I think that with the help of influences like you and many others, this could be the first step in stopping animals like leopard geckoes from dying in the wrong hands. FYI, the editorial is going to be published into the Frisco Location, and maybe even actual news places. I can share with you the editorial and even the quiz format and maybe you could give some suggestions? I would also hope for you to help spread this topic. Once again, thank you for the inspiration!
Loves this
lets goooo
nice love your vids quik quistion do leopard geckos need uvb?
Thanks :) and yes, I've done a few videos on it. Check out the latest LumenIZE video on my channel, or the 'Reptile Heating and Lighting' playlist :)
Thank you for this video. I will use your design as an inspiration once I get a Blue Tongue Skink. Just a question, do you plan to upgrade the cork bark to a bigger one once your Blue Tongue Skink gets bigger? Or are the cork barks' size enough for an adult?
I have watched your video for years and you have truly helped me however I’m struggling to remove some shed off my leopard geckos toes. I have done numerous baths which has removed some and used q-tips. However there is still stuck shed on 2 toes that I cannot get, he doesn’t allow me to hold him, he trashes and bites, he also won’t allow tweezers as he tries to eat them. Can I get some advice in removing this stuck shed please?
You probably won’t see this but what type of ferns did you use?
Question : I just got my leo today and he’s in the middle of shedding, I have added a humid hide for him but he hasn’t seemed to go in it yet. He’s also too timid for me to hold him and try and pick some off. How should I help him get it off?
I'm assuming that wood is grapevine? I used some grapevine with one of my tarantula's on slightly damp substrate and within a few week the whole thing was covered in hairy mold. Anyone else had this problem? I recently got some neon day gecko's and wanted to use some in their terrarium but decided not to.
There's driftwood, cork and maybe one piece of grapevine wood, however i haven't had any problems so far, it might be because its very warm over that side, so the ground isn't too damp. Also, if it does grow a little fuzz the isopods would likely eat it, but I'll keep an eye on it :)
Hey quick question, is that a normal socket? I have a very high humidity terrarium and struggling with heat at the moment.
Question. So how much did this cost all together?
hiiiiiii pookie :3
Very nice build indeed. Just for sure though - Isn't one of the plants you used aglaonema? If so, are you sure it is safe for blue tongue skink? These are toxic but I could be wrong in identifying the plant.
Thanks :) and nope, we have crotons, ferns and a spider plant :)
@@leopardgeckotalk I see. It has similar looking leaves. Was about to get inspired but I see that also crotons are toxic 🙁 so I will skip them at least where some damage can happen to them or where kept could eat it
Should you use calcium with or without d3 or both for a leopard gecko when dusting it's feeders? Some say leave calcium without d3 in the tank and dust the feeders with calcium with d3 I'm kind of confused on the topic any information would be very much appreciated. Also your videos a great I love them
@H3RBISHERE thank you for the info I appreciate it
How do I get my tank into one the tank reaction videos because I’m pretty new to this and I want to make sure my tank is ok for my leopard gecko
I usually post on my instagram (leopardgeckoyoutube) when I am looking for entries, or you can tag me in a photo.
Will you be my wife
