Wow great talent and gift ... I would not have listened to this in the 80s as I did not know the Lord and when I did I was taught this was not for God.. Now I see how it is hard to find Christian talent on guitar of this quality. Praise God for His heavenly harpists!!

"Best guitar solos"? I think not. Maybe "Favorite guitar solos" perhaps. "Bema Seat" is a fine solo, but take a good listen to "Pied Piper" (both from Not Of This World). "All The King's Horses" from "This Means War"..."Mine Field" from "On Fire"...most of the solos from the album "Beyond Belief"..."Hey World" from "Unseen Power"...c'mon, dig in & really listen to something other than the "hits". Bob is very underrated, just take the time to listen.
Thanks for the comments. I actually did listen to pretty much everything that Petra ever recorded and did it on repeat for several years. You are right that it's a subjective selection but with music as with any other art form there may be objective measures but at the end it's still about what each of us likes better. I don't really want to go into any argument about what is a good solo and what's not. But about that "something other than the hits" quip - take a note which songs I picked from the hit album Beyond Belief. Hardly "hits". I could have made this an hour long video with most of the solos (it was really hard to actually pick just a few from the first two albums as the song themselves were pretty much lyrics over a guitar solo) so I had to pick some and I tried to pick those which I thought were interesting, representative of the given album/era and that I thought fitted the song because there are guitar solos just for the sake of being a guitar solo, not so much with Petra but it happens.

Hartman was one of my favorite players growing up. I still like his stuff even though I'm non-religious now.

Also, "All the kings horses" from Petra is one of the better solos in my opinion.
