This was just one of those feel good days! From the bluebird ski day to navigating Luna in a white out to having a chill campsite for the night! So grateful for all of your support this month. Seriously so thankful. 🙏🏽
I grew up going to this resort, starting nearly 30 years ago it's crazy to see how different it is now. I remember every year driving up through 10+ foot high snow banks that towered over any trucks on the road. Snowstorms usually came in feet, and tons of days it was so deep combined with not being very steep that you'd do a lot of pow hiking. I saw an avalanche nearly cover a car on the way up from Parowan. -13F in Cedar City where I lived, snow up to my truck door in the city once. Now I live in Northern Utah and that kind of snow seems like a dream for the mountains here. Sad stuff, seems like those days are gone.
The red rocks with the snow are just *chefs kiss*. Adding that to the bucket list! Thanks for taking the time to include the music in the description! You always choose some bops!
seriously so cool and the fact that you can ski on them is even better! id love to check this place out in the summer too! and yeah of course! ask and you shall receive!
That's my home resort I've been ripping for 12 years it's pretty small but you can find some fun lines if you go out of the ski boundary. And yes you can hike up to the peak. when there is enough snow I've skied it a few times you can take a snowmobile up the backside.
good to know man!! would love to go back up there when there is more snow! definitely enjoyed my time up there but would love the tips n tricks! thanks lincoln!
Lucas! Wow really lovely music and editing like always! c: It's been awhile since I commented, been super busy! Keep up the amazing work, Season 2 looking good so far!
20 years ago I interviewed to be the town manager for Brian Head. The council told me most of their out of town visitors were from Las Vegas and they profiled them to bust them, especially for weed. I thanked them for the interview and kindly rejected their employment offer a week later. 😄
Your ski shots in this video are crazy in this vlog! I especially enjoyed seeing you take those jumps off the slopes. Even though this was one of the smaller resorts comparatively, I think the lower crowds and terrain of this mountain had it's positives! There is something about the solitude captured in the Poptart scene that was really special. I'm glad that you show the little moments of your weekend. It's amazing to think about the extra time and effort it takes to capture these shots all while you are skiing. Great vlog, Lucas! Now here is my main questions...spaghetti or tacos lol?!?
thank you amanda!! it felt nice to hit a few more jumps than usual because i didnt have the pole cam haha! i honestly really liked this place and the fewer crowds were a nice change for once! definitely was impressed! and im glad we share the same solitude in moments like that. i feel like they go unnoticed most of the time, but you seem to pick up on the same moments that i find tranquility in as well. very cool. thank you for your endless support. thats a tough question! i think tacos have a better success rate overall, but if its my grandmas spaghetti and sauce, im doing that every time!!
Came across your vid. Rad stuff. Anyways, 20 years ago they used to take boarders and skiers to the peak via snowcat and you’d take the back country down. Absolutely incredible views. I did it twice then.
yoo thank you dude! i appreciate you watching the video haha. was fun doing some more jumping in this episode! and im so down dude! should be doing alta/bird here soon!
Hey man. Watched everyyyyy episode of your van build and just finished Season 1. Catching up. Your filming and editing is truly outstanding. Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing more. I also noticed you started a Stoke Squad for a monthly membership. Smart! I was about to say ... you should monetize this thing to the fullest. Why not? We all need to make a living. Nobody will be upset if you make a killing off doing what you love. Matter fact, you should make a logo and Merch and sell it. I'll buy some! Keep going.
hey rolan! thanks for taking the time to watch season 1 and leave a comment! really appreciate the support man. and i guess i havent really pushed monetization because i dont want to come across as a sell out if that makes sense. really focused on building the community and a brand that has some longevity to it. feel like i still need to define who i am and things like that, but i definitely need to work on monetizing it more so i can hopefully transition to doing it full time at some point haha
@@LucasCatania17 Hell ya figure it out, do your thing, and go for it! People love your show. Nobody thinks that you would be selling out by making a good living from it. Just check out Casey Wilax and other RUclipsrs. They all sell merch and monetize and thats cool. No love lost. There is nothing wrong with making a living. Love it man. Keep going!!!!!!! And your footage and editing is soooo much better then all of these RUclipsrs! You should be proud of your work. If you ever host any group camping sessions, or ski meetups or anything like that I'll be there to support. Peace Out!
Loved the first run footage. The shadow from your jumps were amazingly fun to watch. Like I was jumping with you Lol. The goggles you have are the lenses changeable? The lens you wore on this video look polarized. I like that you are going to smaller lesser known ski mountains. Can’t wait till the next ski adventure.😁
thanks julie! that first run was a lot of fun haha! didnt even really think of my shadow haha but i guess you can see my body posture from it! and yes the lenses are changeable! i usually carry 2 lenses on me during the day! the ones i had on were polarized yup! really nice in the bright days like that! thanks julie! i think youll get a kick out of the next one then haha!

Haha thanks man! I’m honestly not a good park skier at all. Most I can do is just some switch stuff, 5’s, 7’s but I can’t invert or anything like that.
Great video man as always. Went to fatmap and google maps to check it out, it's nothing like the cottonwood canyons but I'll pay them a visit in the future 🤟 keep it up
