Well people play the game for the love it and not just for the money.Thats the romantic reason,the practical reason is that the market is too small for a full time professional league.Only a few games a year attract large crowds .Players should get paid in my view given the income they generate ,but they still have to work..At the moment te GAA are committed to the amateur ethos.Some of these players next week will be playing for there local parish in front of a handfull of it people

The Kilkenny team arnt just sit back and leave everybody beat them,its the same with any other county.
I live in a college town, so the only hurling that goes on here happens after people drink too much alcohol.

Galway should've won in 2012 but they just didn't want to win enough, I think they could do it this year, Cats are gone early this year amazingly but they've another 5 good teams to contend with some lovely hurling still to play!

Barry kelly abdolutly played wit galway. Oh well no differ we still got through that day and finished them off in the replay.
Credit to the fantastic galway support.When i was at the 2010 final it was so loud it was scary coz all the stands started to rumble but christ sake the 2012 final was 10 times louder.Whenever Galway got a goal i went deaf for about a minute or 2 each time.

I'm a galway man, but that wasn't a free at the end, the galway man dived, but I don't mind, it's great to get the free, I used to play hurling I used to dive and get loads of frees, it was handy

This was a great game! I had to watch it on my choppy DSL connection as it was being broadcast! Frustrating, but I'm glad I saw it live! I'm directing my friends in the US to check it out because it was so entertaining!

Some people say that this Kilkenny team are in a class of its own[not true].People have seen that Kilkenny can and have been beatin also trashed.
Same old story for Galway.Losing the All Ireland like 1990 after controling most of the match .They had their chance and blew it as usual When will they ever learn?

Thomas Kelly Yes I agree about 2015 but in 2018 they had played 9 games back to back and had a number of injuries. Where as Limerick had three weeks free from games. A huge difference that made alone. Limerick won by one point despite being dominant for most of the game, so they were not a great team people claimed them to be. I have been a Galway fan since my childhood and been heartbroken so many times by Galway’s losses but I’ll remain a fan. 😊🇶🇦
