In all my years living in Ireland hurling still blows me away...what a game, what skills, what passion, what 💓 heart, what strength of purpose...I am Scots and I envy the Irish their amazing field games...and these boys are bloody AMATEURS, they play for pride...this is sport as it should be.
I love this sport. I’m from Manchester, I have a large family from Carrick on suir , they are all staunchly proud of Tipperary. I’ve been there loads, I saw Tipp win the Munster championship against Waterford a few years back at semple stadium in Thurles. Love hurling, the skill , commitment and bravery and passion of these players considering it’s an amateur sport is amazing, it puts the mard arse footballers to shame. Respect to Galway, Kilkenny, Cork and atm Limerick who are brilliant and the team to beat. Hopefully Tipperary can get back challenging again. MCFC Loyal since 1973.
10 years ago today. Painful as a Kilkenny man, but Tipperary deserved it. And came out on top deservedly in 2016 and 2019 too. Hope Kilkenny wins again soon!
2022 they made the all Ireland again, it was a great match.. Kilkenny played fantastic yesterday but unfortunately limerick came out on top. As a tipp person we're still waiting🤣 well done.
Doesn't matter how many times I watch this game, never get bored of it. 2009 was a superb match but this one...f' me! There have been finals with more stylish open hurling. Superb shoot-outs, like the 2014 drawn game. Unparalleled drama like 1994. Unequaled stories like 1995 & 1996. The conditions on the day...the cold, the breeze, the mist and the rain...was the most anti-hurling weather for any final but the two teams produced a masterpiece despite it. Beyond doubt, the greatest All-Ireland Senior Hurling final I have ever been at or even seen.
Proof if any proof were needed that this unique game is the most exciting robust skilful and fastest field ball game in the world....I did not grow up in ireland but when I watch hurling...GOD
This was the day Tipperary respectively saved the Hurling Championship, this great Kilkenny team could have won between 2006-2012 in a row, an unhealthy roll of honour prevented by a highly deserved and spirited Tipperary display.
At 56 minutes Tommy Walsh hit a tip player twice with the hurl at the head. In 09 Benny Dunne had 1 wild swipe because Walsh was pulling him constantly and got a red turned a game tipperary were on course to win. Still grates me.
Now im a mad Tipperary supporter but the swings he threw this game at that moment were nothing compared to Benny Dunnes in 09 which i thought was hilarious because fuck Tommy Walsh he's only a wanker.
I'm very new to all this but I'm enjoying watching the full-length matches that I can find on RUclips. Is Tipp vs Kilk a big rivalry? They seem to always play in the final or semi-finals every year.
Huge rivalry they are neighbouring counties, but different provinces.Tipperary is bordered by 8 traditional hurling counties, but the one with kilkenny is the biggest non munster rival .In hurling you have the holy trinity cork tipperary and kilkenny these counties have won the majority of all irelands.Cork and tipperary play in the munster championship whereas kilkenny play in leinster which means they only meet in a semifinal or final. There is a lot of tipp people working in kilkenny and vice versa and of course there is intermarriage, which spices up the rivalry.
I know I'm year's late to this comment 😅but maybe Henry was in severe pain and just wanted to get off the pitch ,I'm no Kilkenny fan trust me😂but we don't know how we,d feel in that situation
Crs video defaults I enquired with another channel about the possibility of them uploading the 2003 Tyrone v Kerry semi final and the 2019 Kerry v Dublin all Ireland final replay and he said that most of his gaa videos were from the 1990s however he did recommend that I ask you could you possibly upload the 2003 Tyrone Kerry semi final and 2019 all Ireland final replay both in full I notice your channel seems to be all hurling but would there be any chance you could upload them two matches please reply

And went on to hammer Kilkenny off the field in 2016 and 2019 in a fitting end to the decade 🇺🇦🇺🇦.
Yes ...Great comment.
Bring the All Ireland back to September, its tradition and a great way to end the Summer!

We stoll outhurled them until the ref gave Kilkenny a penalty which should have been a free out!
Excellent video. Got to see this in a Pub in Dingle... I can now actually see the action now. thanks!
ref for years - think that was my favourite game of hurling - ps jackeen - poetry in motion win or lose
22:50 The brilliant young T.J. Reid letting the ball glance off his hurley and nicely touched by Michael Rice.
And just like that they meet again in the final 2 weeks time. Hon the premier!
52:03 What a beautiful point.
Great battles between these two over the years ...up TIPP.....
We don't beat them much .but this 1 was sweet

how rude of shefflin not to shake hands with the Tipp player when he had to leave the field
Saw that! Zero sportsmanship. Even less manners.

Will the same thing happen to Dublin this Year I wander who knows we will have to wait and see
My uncle was the ref
Neil Wadding well tell ur uncle to make better choices
Commentator kept mistaking Tipp goals and players for KK goals and players.
Ger Canning's from Cork. Wouldn't know much about hurling.
The only time Killkenny Cracked to the pressure of the Occasion ..Tipp were brilliant on the day@paddy Sullivan VHS 📼 1990s Cork

Premature calling themselves the ‘Premier’ county! Kilkenny clearly the Premiere County, Tipp still playing catch up! Hon the KATS!
You should maybe educate yourself on where, why and from whom the title of 'premier' actually came from!!
