Depends on how you look at it. Jason dies in one of the two endings of Far Cry 3 (which may very well be canon since Ubisoft has never said otherwise) and in Far Cry 4, every ending with the possible exception of the secret ending end with Ajay stuck in Kyrat which is still in bad shape regardless of who's in power (he may very well end up dead, who knows?) Then there's the ending of this game, in which we're not sure of the Deputy's final fate, but it certainly isn't good in either ending.
Jimmy Hernandez Oh my god I would love to watch Ajay, Jason and Rook team up in FC 6. With Willis and Hurk as sidekicks :D oh my God that would be awesome!!
In Far Cry 3, Willis was a pretty nice guy to Jason. So I don't really understand why he references to him as 'douchebag' ... But in Far Cry 4 ... God he was an asshole.

Everyone here is saying they miss Ajay and Jason. But what i think we all really miss is the main character having an actual voice to talk with people.
I think the point of this "easter egg" isn't about Brody or Ajay. It illustrates that Willis is using them to his own ends. Brody is obviously more than a "SoCal Douchebag" and Ajay wasn't just some kid with daddy issues, that's how Willis see's them. They're just tools to him.
Yeah, but he made me kinda mad, because I played far cry 3 and in one mission, when he was done with repairing his 'plane' we had to kill the rest of those pirates, but I had to do it about milion times because that jerk kept dying. It was like he couldn't even shot one person, because the pirates were coming from all sides and when I was killing in front, someone always shot him from behind. But after you made it, you could say that he survived mostly because of you (Jason), but Jason is still some douchebag for him. What a weird thanks.
I still don't see how Jason was the colossal douchebag Willis depicts him as. Hell, he was a regular person with his own anxiety who ended up enjoying shitloads of pirates and mercenaries. The whole point of the series is crossing that line between what would we morally justify or condemn and what lengths we'd go to if pushed hard enough
idk why people get offended when he talks shit about Jason Brody. He wasn't anything particularly special as a character imo. Though i might get where the "douchebag" comes form. Him and pretty much all his friends were rich SoCal douchebags(if the opening of Far Cry 3 wasn't evidence enough of that).
The point is he grows as a character. He starts out as a rich South California douchebag and ends up as a battle-scarred, determined survivor. Not many first person shooters really do that. He was a regular person until the shit hit the fan, he was just like us. Scared out of his mind and trying to make sense out of an impossible situation.
Yeah, to be fair, it would have been interesting to play as Grant. He wasn't really a soldier, he was a reservist. He had the skills, but I don't think he'd ever seen combat. It would have been a similar experience gameplay wise but the story would have been slightly different. I like the fish out of water story we got because I became emotionally invested in Jason and I think the story worked better as a result. Love the idea of NPC's being able to take settlements and shit. It would do more to make it feel like a real living world that would go on without the player character. Have contested areas that jump back and forth between factions. It'd take away that feeling of everything revolving around you. The dead characters idea sounds quite interesting but I feel that in reality it would be too difficult to put into practice. There'd be too many variables and scenarios to take into account and it'd fuck with the plot and character development too much. Imagine if one of the main assholes in the game who's gonna be a big mid game boss get killed by Generic Good Guy NPC No. 197546 shortly after the game starts. That's a character taken out of the game way before they were meant to and that will change the reaming plot for the rest of the game. It'd end up taking up too much of the budget and that'd mean the quality of something else in the game dropping. Although, I would be a fan of having the player choose which way the story goes. Saw hints of it in FC5 with arresting seed or letting him go but I'd like to see it get developed further. In FC3 what if you got the choice to fight for the Rakyat and save the island or working with Vaas to get your friends back one by one and then eventually taking over the slave business? What in in FC4 you got the choice to help the rebels or join and help Pagan from the start? What if in 5 if you got the choice to fight the cult or join them and take over the county? I'd be behind these choices 100%.
Seth Leoric yes and no. He says finally now let’s go shoot guns or something along those lines then the credits pop up. It’s a nice little Easter egg at best. You don’t get to see any more than that. It’d have been great if you played a campaign from that point on to the ending.
Far Cry 6 Willis Huntley : well i have seen shit, i've met a guy with blue shirt and he's crazy as fuck, also i've met a silent fucking person that never talk but somehow he appear different everytime i met them in a new copy of this game
Geralt of Rivia I agree about rook, but I think Jason comes above ajay. Ajay had no reason to join the revolution and fight those people. He was there to spread ashes. Jason had to kill to save his friends. Jason also develops more as a character, as we see his fall into insanity. Ajay just kind of is like okay I did it, good bye, whereas with Jason his future is told clearly. He either leaves and becomes a psycho killer in America or stays and dies. But yeah, rook was a bad character. There was no reason for that much customization or lack of identity. I get that the game is choose ur own adventure but I feel like they took that too far. I need to connect with the character, not so much immerse myself as the character. While it is important to feel somewhat immersed with my character I need to know his thoughts and feelings. Besides, having him be a silent protagonist makes for extremely awkward dialogue and seems like it put more work on the story writers. Pointless and poorly executed imo. Still a good game and an instant classic in the FC series, but not as amazing as it’s two predecessors. (Not including primal and blood dragon)
@@tylerasher1453 this is cap Jason development makes no sense his didn’t have to fight especially sense he had no military or comment training that makes no sense and he’s just a douchbag of a person his dialogue is such a frat boy

i saw willis at the beggining of the coop game with my friend, i thought it was going to be some epic mission but he just led us to some house and then ran off without saying anything special
Fun Fact you really don't get the true story of Ajay's Dad, one story is told by Sabal, the other by Yuma and the third by Pagan. Then its up to you to decide which one you truly believes. I go for Pagans as notes in game shows the relationship between Ajay's mom and Pagan Min. Plus the "Take me back to Lakshmana" which turns out to be Ajay's half sister.
Im more of a 3 guy myself. The story was just epic idk.... Its the only farcry I've played through multiple times. I guess because wildlands is so fresh in my memory but 5 seems wayyy to similar.

Dylan Drummond I've always wished I could side with Pagan in 4 he's by far my favorite villain in recent memory
John Doe im pretty sure you can in the intro you have to wait a 10 minutes before he comes back
Seth Leoric yes and no. He says finally now let’s go shoot guns or something along those lines then the credits pop up. It’s a nice little Easter egg at best. You don’t get to see any more than that. It’d have been great if you played a campaign from that point on to the ending.
I wish you could join pagan. He's the good guy and he's a lot better than the terrorist scumbags golden path.
damn the name ajay ghale sparks many memories.
Far Cry 6
Willis Huntley : well i have seen shit, i've met a guy with blue shirt and he's crazy as fuck, also i've met a silent fucking person that never talk but somehow he appear different everytime i met them in a new copy of this game
It’s so unsatisfying not watching a full on cutscene of him
I like Ajay more than Jason and the even more characterless “rookie”.
*Deputy
I don't feel so good. Not to me.
I'm gonna keep that in mind if I ever meet him in Far Cry 6
Imagine if all the far cry characters met and they all had one mission that they needed to work together on. It’d be cool to switch between characters or something.
Far Cry 6: Jason and Ajay file a lawsuit against Willis for defamation.
Why this Willis man always showed up in far cry game?
The NRooR Channel Willis its just like Stan Lee.
If willis is alive today , it's only for Jason and Ajay
i saw willis at the beggining of the coop game with my friend, i thought it was going to be some epic mission but he just led us to some house and then ran off without saying anything special
Uhhhh Quraq is a make-believe country in the DC universe. At 00:43 its mentioned. Does Far Cry exist in the DC universe?
Cameron Cutler kyrat is the name and it's a make believe Indian country that far cry 4 took place in
He said Kyrat, That's where Farcry 4 takes place.
Thanks
Willis, the professional Main character selector. He is the one that finds someone to cast as the main role.
That SOB again?
Fun Fact you really don't get the true story of Ajay's Dad, one story is told by Sabal, the other by Yuma and the third by Pagan. Then its up to you to decide which one you truly believes. I go for Pagans as notes in game shows the relationship between Ajay's mom and Pagan Min. Plus the "Take me back to Lakshmana" which turns out to be Ajay's half sister.
So is Jason brody still alive
Yes they left the island
No he’s dead
@@sethxzero7181 no he’s dead
They really made actual sequels impossible with the Ending
Yo
I still say that Casey is the jackal
I like far cry 4 more than 5
Eugenius You don’t have to tell us that, we already knew that without a single doubt.
Mkay
Im more of a 3 guy myself. The story was just epic idk.... Its the only farcry I've played through multiple times. I guess because wildlands is so fresh in my memory but 5 seems wayyy to similar.
FC4 had wayyyy more guns than 5. It's almost sad.
Same
Well its good to know they haven't forgotten some of the more older ones
I'd rather forget Far Cry 4 ever existed.
Descendant of Kraff I prefer to keep it exist all because of pagan min.best character in my opinion.
The true ending is when he waits for Min.
jaelee1996 No its not. The canon ending its when you (Ajay) spare Pagan in the table and let him leave Kyrat on the helicopter.
Ivan Winchester Lol. I was not being serious.
Descendant of Kraff just like ajay forget pagan min existed
Far cry 6: Yeah, Jason, AJay, Some Silent dude.
"We're after the same things, law, order and justice"
Me, killing entire outposts with wild bears and using only explosives to kill enemies myself
3 years late but god... I hope Jason and Ajay survived the war.
I like the blown up car in the background I remember having to do the same to talk to the guy
willis is the same guy from far cry 3 to help you get to the other island thats kinda cool that hes in far cry 5
I was happy to see Willis again.
I absolutely love Willis’s character and I love how he references previous FarCry games and characters. It really just further connects all the Games in the series. He’s basically Stan Lee except if he was a huge asshole.😂😂
Willis lives thanks to Jason and Ajay, i hope All major carctors will join one far cry game in future
He's actually in far cry instincts by the way the NSA agent cracking Val's PDA
I think that it’s a good idea to split the timeline at the nuke, one where it just falls back into the silo.
Willis ... Duuude ...?!?!?? Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity ... For what you did with AJAY ... DO YOU REMEMBER ????!?!?!
speaking normal and calm, despite a gun pointed to him
I would love Jason and ajay to be hidden in the next game as Easter eggs. That would actually make me so happy
Willis Would Be Dead Now if it wasn't for Jason, then Willis called him a "SoCal Douchebag"
For a pretty simple hillbilly hurk really traveled the world
I just now realized this is the same voice character from Bishop from Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, which is one of the best games I've played.
Far Cry 3 is easily one of my most enjoyable experiences with a video game. I would love to see a future addition to the series being a prequel storyline for one of the characters.
No you wouldn’t and that’s never happening
