We have 1 or 2 on a jet sprint boat and plan to do more with our jet skis here too, we just don't have enough time in the day to get everything done as fast as we would like! On that note, if you know any professionals in the industry that are excellent at teaching/explaining and not just 'knowing', send them our way ;) - Taz.
As far as other things to check out, there's nizpro outboard tuning, fpt diesel (fiat diesel), boostpower marine, mercury racing. Ever since I started maintaining my own boat ive been interested in the specific that allow such high sustained rpms, the impact of tuning on reliability plus the spikes in loading when jumping out of the water. I know The marine world is miniscule compared to auto but I live in a fishing town which I hope explains my obsession haha
Until moving here to Queenstown I've always lived in small towns next to the ocean, I get it ;) Due to our location though I think the closest we'll get are jet skis and jet boats for now, but never say never - Taz.
@@2_2_4_3 It is fast, depends on what you're comparing it to. In the world of drag racing/roll racing where power levels keep increasing it doesn't seem like much. 500-600 is more reliable today than 10-15 years ago. Mainly because Ethanol is available to most people. If they had to run race gas as before it's too expensive to turn up the boost high enough to make that kind of power and still run it on a inexpensive fuel. But even Myles switched to M1 methanol which has most of the benefits of Ethanol but has a slightly smaller fuel requirement. M1 is about $9 a gallon, where Q16 import is $20 a gallon and E98 from a fuel company is about $4 a gallon.
The transformation from analog to digital has been more than evolutionary. It’s revolutionary. I imagine Artificial Intelligence tech will be the next revolutionary development in motor sports.
Awesome upload HPA. Anyone who wants to check out the build thread should search "gringotegra new build". He has a lot of threads on Honda-tech, and although he's not really that active on it, there's a lot of content there for those who are interested.
He doesn't always post only when he's accomplished something. He has post on FWD traction that is an excellent read. One of the few 1000 hp FWD cars that can be driven on the street, does 10's @150+ on street tires, 9's on slicks and 200+ mph in the 1/2 mile.
As always interesting information. Ive been looking for answers for water pressures and not a lot of info is out there. since you guys mentioned water pressure. Would like to ask something that i recently discovered. i have to change my hedgasket on my 4g63 evo 3 and noticed that any hedgasket i find it has differences in terms of water holes from head. Some hedgaskets block off completly and some reduce the size of the holes more than 50%. Since its a 4g63 i first assumed that its for another version of a 4g63. Do you thing that head gaskets are designed like these so it can increase water pressure ? Being more specific ive checked Brian Crower and HKS headgasket. Would appriciate it if you have some solid information about this. keep up the awesome content.
I am a HPA member... but I was wondering if When running a LiPo RC battery probably a 4s to get you 16.8v @ full charge, Is that battery running only specific electronics or is it used to replace a typical 12v lead acid automotive battery? I know enough about LiPos to know the have great discharge rates and are the main reason for the fast speeds in the electric RC world. i am not sure they would just drop in and replace a 12v lead acid without some checks on Voltage and Amperage from the alternator... They can flow some serious amps on discharge but not a smart idea to charge it beyond 2c charge rate. 2c meaning 2x the total capacity of battery or Batteries in parallel being charged. Thanks for a great channel and company. P.S. Most every hardcore car guy I talk to knows about HPA!!!
Wow secondary high voltage battery packs for the fuel pump. First time hearing that but genius idea. As long as you're not using an in-tank fuel pump. Have it burn up in your tank getting More Voltage than recommended. It wouldn't explode from lack of oxygen but the thought of it's kind of scary.
Break Mean Effective Pressure; cylinder pressure, it translates to more torque and naturally more horsepower. More pressure=more power when properly tuned
i have a b series (B18C1) CP pistons, rods, sleeved, etc etc. aka its built. running only 414@ 20 psi on a rev9 with 93 octane. I plan on buying a precision 6266 or something equivalent but my question is with the setup as it is what would i be able to run hp wise? trust its built for the track but i use it for the street. if anybody can help me out i have a facebook with the same name or hmu on here and help me out. thanks all.
The crew were running around trying to film as much as possible so easy to miss! Hope you enjoyed the event, still a few more videos to come from it :) - Taz.
Lol he said it won’t run less than 30psi. I run peak 30psi fully built rotating assembly 9.8:1 weisco pistons on mustang dyno I made 470 to the wheel on 26psi
Want some HPA swag? Check out the online store here: shop.hpacademy.com/
Love the vids, would you ever consider vids on marine power? It'd be cool to see the differences vs automotive
Did you have bicep surgery my dude?

Shout out to that audio equipment keeping such quality in that wind lol
We shouted Steve the microphone a hot shampoo bath for that effort 🤘- Taz.
Absolutely love these conversations. Learning what makes these cars on the cutting edge tick is beyond interesting. Thank you!
These are the type of interviews that leave a lasting impression! Two highly knowledgeable people that love what they do! Keep it up!
the eye contact in this vid is intense!
haha glad someone else noticed damn they good

Lmaoooo
two bro's, bro'ing down in a bromance.
Oh my good god - seems only yesterday 600hp was a good output from these things!
Damn, I'm old ;-(
350 is daily power for a Honda now days
I own a 227 whp Honda and I thought I was fast 😥

@@dj4monie very true , and I am getting the benefits of my 85 locally going for $2.79 a gallon.
THE LITTLE INTEGRA THAT COULD!!!!!! THIS CAR IS GOALSSS FOR ANY HONDA BOIIII!!!
Oh my lord, thank you for interviewing him. I love the updates on his progress.
one of the best honda builds out there myles is a great person too
this is the only car channel on youtube that makes the viewers more knowledgeable
Thanks for the comment Matthew! We try =D - Taz.
Best interviewer I have ever seen. Very knowledgeable in multiple types of cars.
I like how knowledgeable you are
THANK YOU! this is seriously such a great video. A famous car with a detailed breakdown? I'll take it!!!!!
woohoo 1 of my favourite cars on the internet (go underdogs!) great content once again.
That got dang coolant pressure snipet feels like top secret info, I appreciate the wealth of knowledge this channel provides.

Seen Myles tegy at honda fest in kent WA last year.that thing idling alone was hands down best car I ever heard.i love how he runs lipos!
54 psi!? In a 1700 lb car!!! H badge 🐐 unblemished.
Very good info! Got some nuggets from this interview...nice video
That windsock for the mic is amazing
It got a pay rise after this event 👍A lot of people take the piss out of it, but it is 100% worth looking like a tit in order to get good audio - Taz.
That thing is badass! Hail to the king!
sound reminds me of the 90s Lanica WRC cars, awesome car.
Awesome to see how they can get these cars to hold so much power
Great interview! He shared a lot of interesting info.
This integra has been a RUclips sensation
thanks for zooming the camera out at 8:12
I remember seeing this roll racing and spanking lambos....🚗.................🚗
I saw his car a couple months ago at cars and coffee. It looks mean in person.
Great interview!
Thanks Edwin! - Taz.
This is just insane :)) Props to the owner.
Always love your content highly educational.
Bravo again! Thank you
Our pleasure!
Surprised to see stock crank and steel rods. I've always wonder what the setup was on this car, it smokes a lot of people.
only honda can put factory crank and drop 1000+ hp
SREvolutionNZ not true... just about every Nissan crank from the 90's can handle well over 1000 HP.
@@joshuahebert9949 ok
Sloppy mechanics also put a stick ls crank to over 1000 hp at the wheel through a 4l80e, so probably closer to 12-1300 crank.
Aaron _z33 my 1996 cobra factory stock forged crank is rated for 1200hp lol
Fascinating I learned a lot

wicked cars . i made front cover of banzai magazine with mine.. i could only dream of of build like that.

That mic I the real mvps. Thanks from headphone users
Miles is the man
This may sound crazy, but I am building a car to compete with this in this same class... It's engine isn't a Honda , it's a Chevrolet! :)
FrequencyOfThought , iron block, 30psi e85, all good.
FrequencyOfThought chevy motors bore me! Ford power plants are a lot more interesting to watch
The domestic 4 banger is a rare breed it's why I like it.
I know the power of stock cranks but the fact that this holds a stock type r crank pushing all that baffles me
It's extremely well crafted only the only fully counterweighted B series crank; also all journals are nitride hardened.
Can anyone explain to me why you wouldn't want the block to have a lower compression ratio than the 11:1 he is running? Trying to learn a little more.

Golden Eagle sleeves vs. Darton MID Sleeves for F22c1? Which one is better
Yes
Mhm.. Yes... indeed.
Send me both. Will test for you.
AIGHT AIGHT SENDING IN BOTH ATM.
Golden eagle uses sewer pipes as their sleeves .... junk sleeves .... darton sleeve is the way to go ... their material is better
Where can I get a 5 gear dog box like this one?

7:15 walking through background, what’s that guys problem lol
Mike Wilhelm doesn't like Honda's.
do you know what size final drive with the dog box he has in the transmission
No sorry David, but you could hit him up on Instagram @gringotegra - Taz.
everyone is walking by that Integra like...MEH, It's just another Honda. Yes, IT IS just another HONDA that whoops ASS.
Monster
Nice to see a Toyota guy respects Honda
"just the office guy" lol
Some kind of office right! - Taz.
kinda sounds like even the cleaner would be able to put together a competitive car just from discarded post-it notes!
He's probably got only 10k in this build too. I love Honda's.
@Sergio Aguirre Show me where that ECU cost $7K?
@Sergio Aguirre Oh ok, turbo "kit"..my bad...sure his ECU and turbo "kit" are about $10K. Let's not start adding fuel into the mix.
Dude I had no idea you were at the Airstrip attack! How did I miss you?

Why do people always use precision turbos. I never see the Garrett g series on these cars. I thought g series were the most advanced??
Small hondas ,upsetting bigger cars for years. Old hondas never die, just get quicker

English racing!! I want a death ride in the integra!!!! Pick me!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Fight you for it! - Taz.
High Performance Academy I’ll fight you in a baby pool filled with jello!
5:12 what ignition setup is he using?
Maybe a T1 Hall sensor setup.
M Shinny Aem Smart Coils with MSD spark plug wires.
@ GringoIntegra
Haha boost creep from 6lb wastegate to 30lb😂😲
Sweet teggy looks similar to zosh's think hes got 700hp
exactly wrong, zosh integra is like 250 HP. Kyle from Boostedboiz has a 700 HP hatchback with h22.
🇩🇴
its fucking b-series as well... 30 year old engine...
Golden eagle block ??? Wow their blocks are junk .... made out of sewer pipes literally .... Darton sleeeves or LA is the way to go
must not be junk if its handling 1200hp and 54 pounds of boost
I mean its holding 50lbs+
Well Yeah it’s a closed deck block it should hold that much PSI .... Iv just personally had bad experiences with GE that’s why I think they suck ...
