A remarkable journey for Gukesh D from being inspired by legends like Vishy and Magnus at the World Championship to becoming a contender himself. A true testament to dedication and perseverance!
Gukesh is very eloquent and calm. His answers are very polite. I thought the questions were also good and were not the obvious and same questions that we always hear. Good luck Gukesh!
Like, in an Exam, only those who get nervous who doesn't know the answers...Gukesh knows... how much the efforts he dedicated towards chess and in this Fide World Championships 2024, Singapore... So he's Calm...✌️😎👍
I heard some people saying Ding may or may not play. I feel some people are playing mind games to distract Gukesh. I hope Gukesh will not fall for this. Hope Gukesh will win this and become youngest world Champion.
Hope we get prime ding to crush gukesh and then gukesh to swindle past him slowly within 14 rounds, i e a close quarter wcc with guki win by a margin or two
@@adityajha8701 obviously you are new to chess scene perhaps, even prime magnus couldn't crush his contemporary at that time (fabi) even though he was like 60-70 elo ahead of him, Else why would you think prime ding will absolutely stomp over gukesh? Sure he would be favourite but it would result in close quarter match Similar to how people love to chant about how Kasparov absolutely crushed karpov when in reality it was a win by a thin margin

He says it's natural for the heart rate to go up and down in critical moments but just saw Magnus play Fabi at a constant 75 bpm. Starting to think he might actually be an alien.
Yeah, that's the case for Carlsen now, but it wasn't the case for him in his first WC. He was shaking a lot during early stages of his first match with Anand. And I'm sure even for him still in more serious settings it will go up, not extreme but not insignificant either. No doubt there's some biological advantage and probably also some deliberate training, but most of this calmness is about the chess experience and ability he's accumulated. He's seen everything, done everything and at his best he's better than anyone still. Very few things may be able to surprise him or get him off kilter at this point.

It's in a match that means nothing though
@elawchess true. But Fabi was at 150+ in the same game. Am starting to think that Carlsen's whole biology is somehow primed to play chess.

Good job mike, for bringing up the Paddy Upton question.
He is not important he is just a Mental fitness coach
@samarthbagwe1736 true, but it's a facet that noone really talks about it openly.

Not easy as difference is in Elo rating is having significance. Otherwise ELO will loose meaning
the next video would be about ding interview?
Gukesh should not give these interviews
Would Magnus have given an interview?
Won't impact his performance certainly
Gukesh already looks older than Anand
8 - 0 would not be a surprise

He will be a worthy number 2, after Magnus.
He's still not at their level!!😅
All draws against Magnus in classical, it is only in rapid, Magnus got win against him
It's the other way around, for his age none of them are at his level. Pity them.
