I had tried this a week back but speed on the phone is 400 Mbps whereas the speed on the laptop connected through the router is just 98 Mbps. Cannot find why this happens

The hardware of your phone (type c port) may be limited to 100 Mbps, try using a usb c to gigabit Ethernet adapter, if that doesn't work your phone has a hardware limitation
