Few years ago my parents and I were going to Australia as well and we reached there but my parent's visa had just expired luckily we managed to fix it and we could go because the guy gave us a link to apply for the visa......did you not have one vikar? Or was it the one where it got rejected?

Visa and probably insurance things in Malaysia can be really be a pain in the neck. 1 min they say ok you're clear, the next they say, sorry we changed our mind you're not clear. You can still travel bec your visa was approved, just go check in bring both passport, but always show the new passport for checkin and all transaction, until they ask you(if) then you explain to them with your old passport, as all the proof is with you.>>>you got a valid approved visa, just go checkin with guts
