So no turmeric?
potato is sleep :D
Remember, the foods we eat play a significant role in our physical and mental health, so making conscious choices can lead to a more vibrant and fulfilling life. Thanks for sharing this enlightening video.
I'm very glad that someone like sadhguru confirmed that we should not be consuming milk of another spicies.
:)
He told dairy products not milk.
@@mamaraisedasoldiernotasimp510 so what dairy products are made from?
Do you know you can buy Desi Ghee from Isha life which is a dairy product obviously? And, he clearly recommend ghee consumption for colon cleansing. Hence, he is not saying that humans should not consume milk of other animals.
@@mamaraisedasoldiernotasimp510wtf diary products means milk and curd
Given these broad guidelines, each of us has our unique nutritional needs that our spirits or our higher selves now. If we get present and clear the negative or habitual thoughts and blend more with Spirit or our higher selves, we will always be drawn to consume the right things in the right quantities. And over the course of a lifetime nutritional needs change and attractions to certain foods will change for those who are open and aware and listening to their Spirit’s wisdom
woo hoo.
Nutrition is only on the level of body not spirit
@@MidnightMag yes true, but I believe the point is that we are spirit having human experiences and if we trash the vehicle, it’s going to bog down our spiritual growth while we are here on earth anyways. From that understanding of taking care of the physical vehicle we can learn to transcend that through various techniques, many available through yoga training, and there are some spiritual masters, who do not need food as they have evolved in their human bodies to gather all nutrition from air and spirit
As a student living in a hostel. I'm crying right now. The only thing they give us is potato 😢😢😢
Eat fruits
Don't worry.
@@bingeable3😂
Way better a steamed potato than any fried food. I would argue packaged foods and foods fried in oil are maybe more tamasic than a raw or steamed potato.
Break their heads with those potatoes
While all this information is true and good, there should be noted one important exception to #1: Sweet potato. Sweet potato is highly revered in Ayurveda both as being satvic (roughly meaning increasing quality of peace and clarity) and tridoshic or balancing all the doshas, or simpler all the elements. Please continue to consume this as it is actually exceptionally great food as per Ayurveda. Also, always take things one step at a time. Any fried or packaged food is going to be way way more tamasic than cooked food older than 1.5 hours or a steamed potato which is still pretty healthy for the physical body.
Edit: In terms of satvic root vegetables, the full list is actually carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, and turnips.
@@sandrag3637 I think his comment might have been mostly on heavy tubers like potatos and yams and stuff like that. I at least highly doubt he would be talking about roots which are spices like turmeric and ginger, as he praises both elsewhere. Actually for the sake of completeness, as far as I can tell, all root vegs are tamasic except carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, and turnips, as they are a bit lighter than the rest, so these are all good.
you should come to kerala you will get fresh and hot beef fry
During war times, sweet potatoes fed a lot of people.... and its leaves too. So.................
When it’s a question of survival - eat anything ❤
I'd say there should be a purpose why you're eating something. Not just taste. That's the only criteria.
Great video! Thank you! 🧡
Nameste sadguru ❤
Don't turn things into a belief system as Sadhguru says time in and again. A happy balance with food is best, in my opinion.
Pranamam gurudev..

Namaskaram Sadhguru. Thank you Sadhguru.
Thank you Sadhguru
Nice advise guru ji 🇮🇳
Thanks, I tested these tips works great 😃
Great video! Thanks 🙏 Love the dietary recommendations he makes! Makes it very clear and explains it well.
Too much of anything is not good for our system. Balance is everything ❤
It’s not about balance, but eating what is needed. If the goal is yoga, balance would mean a slow decrease in the foods mentioned in this video..
Didnot like the background music. Its like any other video, missing the isha touch or the spiritual touch😊
This is about food so they made it more funky like many other food videos on RUclips.
Balance is the key.
So the next video is what to eat right; because we’ve clearly been doing it all wrong Guru! Help us further understand please 🙏🏾 🧡Thank you and your team for this monumental awakening.
Don’t believe everything anybody says
@@acsangiorgioItalia get to a certain level of being and you understand that your body simply will reject meat I've experienced it and I am impressed with how the body works when it doesn't have it
yeah me too.. body doesn't want these food simply @@techtim123
@@techtim123 As correctly pointed out, the day I noticed that phenomenon was when I stopped taking meat for over 3 months. The moment I touched chicken, my body started giving me vomiting sensations.
It's amazing that your body "always" tells you what you need and what you don't need. Just keep the food canal empty, and suddenly you feel that you have a lot of energy for everything.
Look for videos on Pranic foods .. I think there is one from Sadhguru as well 🙏
Meat & dairy are easier to avoid compared to the other 2 variants. Hence, moderation is key.😢
Yes. That's right. I love my potatos
Since I stopped eating meat years ago, I have been relying on dairy products for getting enough proteins. I sort of live on a stable menu of chocolate-milk, cheese and honey on lots of grain bread and cheese-stuffed sandwiches or cheese and tomato-laden pizza. I also really like my potato crisps, I have to say. Although I already knew about potatoes being zero prana food and making me lazy - lethargic. So I've cut down on those drastically but also *really* kind of like them every now and then.
The cheese and the milk....This Sadhguru is one tough cookie to live up to, I've got to say. Although, I have a hunch that taking on a residential program would automatically set one straight with the right diet. Then it's just knowing what the ingredients are and how to use them once the program ends and you're set for a yogic daily menu in your own environment.
Thanku so much my dear brother so much love x
Thank you sir
Dankeschön 🙏 🙏

As someone from the Anglo Saxon tribe, 1-3 are pretty much our diet. lol. #4 is possible. But for us northern tribes, there are no plants for more than half the year. So storage of energy is a challenge and we have lived with these for many thousands of years. Fermented dairy (cheese), and vegetables (pickled) and preserved meats are part of us. But I do take your point about "in these times". But is this not the Kali Yuga?
@M_Victor All fish are fish but you can't move a fresh water fish to the oceans or a ocean fish to freshwater (with some exceptions). And you can't move a deep sea fish to the surface or a surface fish to the deepest ocean (with some exceptions). :)
But in modern world with advent of fridge and work life being busy we cannot follow 1.5 hr rule
❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏🏻❤️
🙏🏻
I get the impression that the content of the video and the message of the Sadhguru are two completely different topics, because how do the words "you must avoid" relate to "eat consciously" or "if you eat too much of this...". In my understanding, Sadhguru's message is about building a conscious relationship with different types of food. Sadhguru doesn't tell you what to do, but he shows you healthy ways for your system that you can chose and it's up to you what you will do.
Sant Meera ke bare mein bataye plz🙏

@@kur3465 chocolates are also dairy Products Anna ! Dark chocolates I don't like much 😞
One thing he did not mention is there is one tuber which is actually both highly satvic, healthy, and even tridoshic (or simply put, balancing all elements) as per Ayurveda, and this is sweet potatoes. It doesn't have that same satisfying tamasic feeling potatoes give in truth, but it is still super tasty and very spiritually conducive.
you should eat beef fry from kerala to be better than sadguru
Are there any recipes you can share with us ?
There is a book for recipes published by isha Foundation. I forgot the name.

Pizza sauce contains nagtive paranic substances (garlic)
vegeterian pizza is ok
Eat consciously. That's my key take away
What about milk
Then what shoul we eat!?
Eating bufflow liver kidneys ,and butter stokach juice...its super tasty
thats the best thing, someone should just give it to sadguru and all his problems will be solved
As someone who can't go a single day without meat (except when fasting, where I eat Nothing at all), No.3 is a Critical Hit for me 😅🍖🍗🥩
if you can go a day of fasting you can go a day without meat, you're stronger then that. mind over matter my friend, its better for you and everyone else on this planet that you quit this bad habit, it's actually worse then any drug addiction to be addicted to some innocent creatures tortured rotting corpse. it makes no sense that people consider this a health product. heart disease is the biggest killer of humans on this planet.
@@RaindanceEXPERIMENTS Fasting is easier because I conditioned my mind so that I don't even think about eating at all. But when food start to enter my system, if I don't eat meat for a day, my energy level will go down significantly 😅
That's why I choose total fasting and not eating at all over avoiding the meat or be a vegan 🙏
Are you don't to eat everyday
Just asking 😅
I get easily bored 😭
Ok Sadhguru sir ! But tell me without meat and no dairy food how can we get vitamin B12? It’s very important for your mental health and neurons. Suggest any food. I don’t find any other alternatives as it is recommended by WHO to take at least 2.4 mcg of b12 in a day . There’s no other source left according to modern science. In India we can avoid meat but if we eliminate milk then how to get this b12? Mostly in India people have low b12 levels.
Literally eat these on a daily basis....well fml
I’m a bit surprised when he said potatoes.
We seen him eat fries, he made potato dishes in the episode with Gordon Ramsay
I get some of the reason for why though
Yes, we have even heard him saying listening to all this one should not become food fanatic rather eat by choice. Food should be choosen according to the level of activity one has to perform that day. If it's a chill day where you just wanna rest and very less activity required what's the harm in eating potatoes, on the other hand if you wanna run a marathon you may need fruits which gets digested quick and boost up your energy levels causing least friction in the body's machanism. 🙏♥️

What about ginger ?
Ummmm...carnivore + fermented/pickled vegetables for a few years now. Blood work perfect. Sleep perfect. More than enough energy. No gas...ever. I could keep going on but thats what has worked for me. Just curious if certain DNA profiles and blood types gravitate to certain foods?
Its also a lot of other factors. You need to choose. Atleast avoid the processed food after a certain age if you can
