Love your makes…that lounge set is just fabulous and your matching dresses are beautiful. Enjoy the years when your kids want you to sew for them; it doesn’t always last. I’ve been lucky; my children are grown but they still want me to make things for them. My son loves the pyjama pants that I make for him (the only pjs he’ll weaar) and my daughter is always keen to have me sew for her. Very satisfying!
All of your makes are great! The Emmy tee looks fantastic on you, and I also really like the sweatshirts set. The cross over one looks really good on you; I think it suits you. Your matching dresses are adorable!
The sweatshirt looks good 🙂 You never have enough lounge wear. All my makes that go awry end up being lounge wear 😄 have a lovely weekend and God bless, Dora
Thank you very much 😊 That’s very true that there’s no such thing as too much loungewear, you can’t beat a comfy set of handmade clothes to relax in can you 😊👌
Love that you let your daughter choose to wear matching outfits, very good of you! Really like the galaxy print. Yes, lounge wear is often overlooked by sewers and it is highly useful and fun to sew. Love my Pfaff for sewing most everything except bags. Got a heavy duty machine for that now.
Thank you very much, I was happy when my daughter picked out the galaxy print! Ah that’s interesting that you have a heavy duty machine for sewing bags. I sewed this one with my Pfaff and thankfully it handled it all ok phew!
Hi from USA 😊 liked the vlog. Ur mustard colored dress at the start looks lovely. It's a great color on U! (nver me😊). I am intimidated by making my own binding ( still). It does make all yhe difference. Thx 4 posting. Be blessed.
Thank you very much! 😊 ah thank you I really love that mustard dress, the print always makes me feel happy. I was a bit nervous about making my own binding at first still, but I quite enjoy doing it now, I love when it matches. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Love your sweaters. I always wondered about the v neck one. It looks great on you. For me I wondered when I would wear a hood but have my neck uncovered unless I was wearing in the winter over my pyjamas, my favourite hood is on the Stella hoodie as I like the shape. I like the details of the pattern and am tempted by the sweatshirt. Going to carry on watching now.
Thank you very much 😊I know what you mean about the v neck, I will be interested to see how much I reach for it. I haven’t tried the Stella hoodie but I’ve got that book so should give it a go at some point, that’s interesting to know you like the shape of that hood particularly.
Hi, Cath! I have a question about the waist elastic in the last dress you showed. Do you stitch the channel down to the bodice, or leave it free? I would like to make a similar dress, but wasn't sure if the channel would lie nicely if not stitched down.
Hi Tammy, the channel is left free. I find that because it is quite close fitting, when I pull the dress on over my head the channel lies up towards the bodice and seems to stay in place there quite nicely even though it isn’t secured there.
To be honest I’ve not made a lot of garments with cotton or viscose jersey that are lined. I did make the Sew Over It Georgie dress which is a jersey dress pattern with a lined bodice. I made it in viscose jersey and I used viscose jersey for the lining too 😊

What kind of lining fabric would you suggest for cotton/viscose jersey? Thanks !! 😊
