Cath, you are really talented in making clothes for yourself and others that are beautiful and really fit well! You have honed your skills over time and can be really proud of yourself! Congratulations!🎈🎉 Thanks for sharing your makes with us!❤️
I enjoy sewing pajamas as well. It’s almost like instant gratification. The skirts you made your mom are lovely. I know she will enjoy wearing them. I really love your sweater. The hot pink color looks great on you. I like how it fits you too. I don’t like the oversized look. I am on the small side and I feel like the oversized closed over power me. I think if it was oversized on you it would look over powering as well. I really enjoy your channel.
Thank you very much. Yes I think it’s turned out well that the sweater isn’t oversized. Thanks yes pajamas are such a nice speedy satisfying sew aren’t they! I’m so glad you enjoy my channel 😊
Love those skirts you made for your mom. Think I’ll have to try making one of those for myself. I think that the top you hacked into the dress would go very nicely with the cobolt and white skirt you made your mom. As always, I enjoyed your video. Love the sweater - beautifully knitted!
What a brilliant idea to stitch back on there..none of us here are label lovers and my janome has lettering I can't thank you enough for that. Lovely vlog as always thanks xx
You have been busy Cath. The sweater is beautiful you look lovely wearing it. I love the skirts that you have made for your mum and the pyjamas for hubby. But my favourite make today is those pyjamas shorts oh so cute. Thank you for sharing have a lovely weekend. X 😊
Thank you very much 😊 it’s been nice to sew a bit of a variety and my daughter has worn the pyjama shorts a lot already so that’s good! Hope you have a lovely weekend too x
Hi Cathy I totally forgot ,the dress you are wearing is so pretty but the top from left over stripe fabric is just the best. You will get so much wear from that. I am knitting another summer jumper in cotton yarn the blue one has had nice compliments. You inspired me to start knitting again 😘 x
Wow! Absolutely love all your makes that striped dress and the long sleeve Frayer top was genius. The pink sweater is just stunning. Thanks so much for sharing also what you made for your family.
Hi Cath, it's nice to make things for others, the skirts look lovely, I'm sure your mum will enjoy wearing them. Your jumper looks great, enjoy your weekend 🥰
Brilliant yay Cath video! I have a couple of questions about the Kielo - I have the pattern but haven't made it up yet. Do you think there's any disadvantage in dividing the neckline the Mandy boat tee method? I wonder why we don't do it all the time! And, is there a way to shorten the bodice length of the dress, given it's bat wing shape? I'm back to newborn days, and not finding any time at all the sew! Missing it a lot.
Thank you! With the Mandy boat tee neckline, the only downside is you need to sew quite carefully to ensure the seams meet up neatly at the neckline when joining the front and back bodice pieces, otherwise it might not look like a clean finish. With the kielo, yes I think you could shorten the bodice, you’d just need to then re-draw the bodice seam lines to keep the smooth lines of the batwing shape. Hope that helps and hope you get some sewing time soon 🤞
Your jumper is just beautiful Cath! So neat... you can see all the lovely details! Really love your Freya top too. I have the SOI Erin skirt from the City Break booklet lined up in my sewing queue - that might be a good option (tweaking the pocket shape) when the time comes to recreate your denim skirt 😊
Thank you very much! I am really happy with how the jumper turned out 😊 Oh fab thank you I’ll check the Erin skirt out! Be nice to try another pattern from that e-book!
The skirts look lovely Cath. I have some viscose that I've had for a while and been looking for a suitable pattern for it. This pattern looks like it'd be a great fit for my fabric. I intend to make a summer knitted top to wear with it and if it's a bit cool, I'll wear my denim jacket. Happy knitting! 💜
Thank you very much, I really love how the skirts turned out and the pattern is perfect for viscose. Would be perfect paired with a summer knit and denim jacket! 😊💙
Wow, more amazing makes Cath, thanks for sharing! I’m currently making the Sabina skirt based on your recommendation in a previous video, so thanks! Also, that jumper is just beautiful. Would you consider making a video for beginner knitters with pattern recommendations or easy projects to get started with?
Thank you very much! Oh fab I hope you enjoy sewing and wearing your Sabina skirt 😊 Yes definitely I’ll have a think about that video and pattern recommendations 😊👍
Lovely clothes Catherine! Love the children’s jersey fabric. I am inspired by your idea to use the embroidery function to identify the back of pants Did you use a thicker embroidery thread for that?
As always, I’m impressed with your productivity! Nice makes.
Thank you very much!
